When i opened the package I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the bottle and of the case. They were well presented and of a good quality. Was excited to open the bottle up and taste the greatness I was sure lurked inside of the bottle, all of a sudden I heard a very loud bang at my door. I grab the bottle and run towards the door where i see two men in full Adidas carrying blades! What a twist and turn in this simple whisky tasting session. Despite my excitement to taste this fine whisky i knew what needed to be done - and i did it. I swung the bottle at the first one and the noise the glass made as it shattered upon his face was quite surreal, the second one stepped forward and I chinged man up proper styles.

I love Game of Thrones (being of sound mind). When I saw Diageo had released this range of GoT whiskies I praised the seven gods for their wisdom.The 12 y/o Royal Lochnagar really packs a punch and will last me a fair while being only an occasional whiskey drinker. There are cheaper 12 Y/O whiskeys around, as the near £40 price on this is bumped up due to the GoT branding.If you're buying for a whiskey loving GoT fan then you can't go wrong with this. If you're going to down this at a house party then maybe spend your money elsewhere.

Pros: perfectly good whisky delivered to your door for not much more than store bought, fun packaging, went down fine. Cons: nothing amazing, no wow, slightly harsh on the throat, and apparently a guy with a huge white beard, wrinkles and a credit card with the name that’s on the delivery slip isn’t good enough proof for Amazon delivery that the buyer is over 18, but my housemate who is 30 years my younger and needs an ID card so he can prove he’s over 18 can accept it on my behalf. Weird.

Loved this product, very drinkable and would recommend it to those getting into Whisky due to its smooth nature. I personally get a massive vanilla hit whilst drinking it which I love. I would recommend it neat; ice/water left it a little low on taste but I prefer whisky as it comes so not a game changer for me. Unfortunately the label was peeling when taken out so would’ve been disappointed had I been buying purely as a GOT fan. Will be ordering another bottle.

This is the lightest single malt I know, but very nice. Obvious apple flavours.If you are trying to get someone into whisky, this is a great choice.It's also a little obscure, off the beaten track, which is great if you like to try or share something you don't see in Tesco.It can be a little on the pricey side, I first bought this in a distillery tour but saw it on sale in Amazon for Xmas.Only downside for me is the daft GoT branding.

I bought this as a gift for my hubby, so I can only comment on the appearance and price. I think they look fantastic and are a great buy for any whiskey loving Game of Thrones fan. The presentation is great the bottle and box look fantastic. The price was also great. All around a great present or if your a Whiskey lover then you could always treat yourself.

Lochnagar have always produced some excellent whiskies, but this is my favourite to date.It has a very pleasant taste of spices and fruits, strong, but not overpowering. A whisky that I will be reordering as it is NOT the same 12 year old single malt but with Game of thrones packaging.

I bought this for a friend as a gift. Within 24 hours, he had messaged me to advise that this was one of the nicest Whiskeys that he had ever had and also that as it was In a geeky box, it made it all the more perfect.Would definitely recommend.

Forget whether you are a 'GOT' fan or not. It's whats on the inside of the packaging that counts!A well kept secret, the 12 year old is a delicious drop with a sweet aftertaste. It has a pleasant aroma and at this price, it's a bargain!

Bought it as a gift because of the game of thrones link but had the opportunity to taste it as well. Delicious whisky, quite fruity and easy to drink with a lot of layers of flavour. Will be purchasing a bottle for myself for sure.

“Have you noticed that all these whisky's look the same, it is becaus diageo abuse the fact they can add e150a caramel colouring. Not natural at all” this whisky is nice but a higher abv would of brought out those flavours more.

I can't comment on flavour, as we are yet to open any of the ones we have bought, but we are slowly buying this collection. They are stunning and make perfect presents for my husband!
