This 1/32 scale model doesn't have a huge number of pieces - only 115 - so the detail is a little limited in that respect. However, the surface of the model itself has sufficient recessed lines and rivet detail to give the model visual interest. With a little bit of work, patience and filler, you can end up with a thoroughly presentable model. The decals are really good - I got them to lay down really flat and with no creases or silvering. I was really impressed by these. The instructions are straight forward enough, with no obvious mistakes and pretty easy to follow.Overall, I'd say this kit is good value for money - at 1/32 scale you're able to get detailed with the paint job and weathering, and the decals really do help give this a good finished appearance.I've already bought another couple for a rainy day...

Who doesn't like a model of the Spitfire? I bought this for my grandson as it was the right sort of scale (1/72 is too small in my opinion) and the price was outstanding. This is an older Revell model and so lacks the detail of more current offerings. Nevertheless, it built up quite nicely and when painted and covered with decals, looked really good. Doesn't come with a stand but I used one from an old kit I had. It can be built with the wheels up or down and isn't too demanding. The price is so good that it would be a useful starter kit for a young modeller to practice on. Some of the parts need a little work to fit properly but have no problem in recommending this kit.

I bought this primarily to make as a Mk 1 Spitfire - exactly the same except for a more powerful engine. This was the Spitfire that starred in the Battle of Britain - it requires a slightly different paint scheme - Brown/green camouflage, duck egg green underside & black spinner. This is a perfectly serviceable model - good cockpit detail & exceptional value. Decals for only one version - unusual these days & No pilot figure, but can't complain at this price.

Being a plastic kit durability is not an option, although it is a decent reproduction and fairly well detailed for it's size. I am planning to move on to larger scale kits in the future.

For less than £11.00 a 1:48 scale Spit, very good value. A basic kit but with a bit of effort a rewarding result is possible. Well worth considering.
