Modellers are a tribal lot with preferences for paint, model manufacturers etc. Most of all paint.Now, I'm in that rare group who don't really have a huge opinion on each manufacturer because frankly every major brand I've used works well. Any problems are of my own making or the paint is ancient.However, my overall choice is Vallejo because of a few reasons. Firstly having returned to the hobby a few years ago I came across Vallejo paints in the super handy dropper bottles. A real revelation to someone who for years struggled with crusty Humbrol enamel pots. That immediately made me a little bit biased towards Vallejo.Next, Vallejo have a huge range of colours.

This paint is superb quality. It's quite thick in the bottle, so you can (and should) thin as needed for your application. I was also pleasantly surprised that the nozzle doesn't clog easily, and is easy to remove if it needs a clean through.The dropper bottle style is great for most model painting work, if you want to thin to suit, as you just dab a drop onto the palette, no trying to pour out of little cans or bottles with the accompanying dribble down the side.The downside of the bottle style is for unthinned applications, you often waste a bit of paint that you wouldn't if you were dipping your brush in a jar.For drybrush work, the thickness of the paint is fantastic.I have also found that the metallic is consistent with just a shake of the bottle,

I use this to reduce drying time when I am painting warhammer 40k models. It makes dry or wet blending much easier. It makes getting the paint on thin and smooth easier. It makes fine edge highlighting possible, as the paint does not dry on the tiny brush before you can apply it.If you use too much you reach a point where the paint will not cure at all. I have found I can use more of it than the instructions say. I do keep careful records of paint mixes, measuring how much I have added using a milligram balance.

The Vallejo transparent range offers fantastic versatility.Think of the transparent paint similar to ink and glazes. But a tiny bit thicker with a far superior depth of colour and finish.I mainly use these paints for warhammer models. The blue is amazing for power weapons, the yellow will leave you with great looking power army and the smoke instantly shades white!All very very sexy stuff indeed!

The paint I ordered was "Natural Wood" for a modelling project and I can only say that it gave the results I had hoped for! If my one bottle is anything to go by then the rest of the range will be very useful to anyone needing that "special" colour!!

I always try to use Vallejo paints, the pigment quality is awesome. They have such a large range of colours in lots of different mediums. If i could afford it i would buy a 72 piece Vallejo Paint Set. You will not be disappointed if you buy Vallejo!

This is a great colour if you have any military models whether you use it to paint fatigues, camouflage or vehicle chassis. Paint flows perfect with a touch of water and the dropper bottles really cuts down on wastage. I will be ordering more ??

This works well and doesn't have a brush in it like similar ones I've use but that didn't seem to matter. It stuck well and removed easily. The blue colour is a great help when removing it as you can clearly see wear you have put it.

The paint is to the usual Vallejo high standard. However, if you are ordering it from Amazon be aware of the minimum quantity which is not immediately obvious. You think that you've ordered one bottle and then five are delivered.

Very, very good indeed. I know some of their standard air-brush camo colours have had a bit of a slagging (for not perhaps replicating the colour stated) but their 'Model Colour' and Metal Colours' are, in my opinion, excellent.

Excellent product. The transparent range by Vallejo are stunning paints and great to work with. Use as a glaze almost to help tie your colours together.Transparent yellow has helped me paint my best yellow to date.

A nice flat/matt black, although a incredibly thick consistency out of the bottle. It'll need thinning whether you're hand painting, or using an airbrush. The mix I'm using for an AB is 70/30 (paint/thinner).

Nice paints be be warned the photos are heavily saturated and contrast. Those colours are not what you will receive I.e Magenta is not be a vibrant red and emerald is closer to blue than that vivid green.

Vallejo Model Color 17 ml Acrylic Paint - Deep Green Paint are good used for my models very thick so a drop of airbrush thinners helps the flow, they go nice and when dry very durable
