Is this product actually necessary? Nope, because water would work. However, I've found that using Vallejo paints I get the best results from the correct formulated thinners and after spending many hours on a model I don't mind a few extra pence to make sure I don't mess it up.And, whilst this is not cheap, its not that expensive either especially as I can do at least six or seven models so per bottle. After all, if you have pulled out a fair bit of money for your kit, plus paints and then your time, a bit more cost isn't the end of the world.Bottle is fitted with a nice cap and applicator so it makes it easy to squirt a bit of thinners into the cup of my airbrush without wasting anything and also prevents me from spilling much if I knock it over with the cap open.Overall,a great product for use with Vallejo acrylic paints.

This Vallejo thinner is to avoid potential blockages when using acrylics in your airbrush. It’s especially useful if you’re using a fine needle, i.e. smaller than 0.25. A ratio of 1ml thinner to 4ml paint is ideal. If you’re spraying more than one thin coat to build up the colour in order to ensure all the surface detail is retained then deploying the thinner ensures the paint remains free-flowing; it’s much more effective than using just water as a thinner. The Vallejo bottle is fitted with a small nozzle which enables you to apply the thinner a drop at a time, or squirt in a larger amount if your airbrush has a larger reservoir and you’re preparing to spray a big surface area. The only gripe (a small one)is that the product is quite expensive for a modest 200ml bottle.

I bought this mainly for cleaning out my airbrush as a first stage to clear heavy deposits, and also to thin any Vallejo Model colours I might use, although I mainly use the pre-thinned model air colours.I had a need to thin down some DecoArt acryllics, and this works perfectly for those too, I mainly used these for brushing onto wood as a stain, but the thinned result would be usable in an airbrush too. This thinner does not smell that strong, so it's ok for indoor use, and the bottle it comes in is really handy for airbrushing as it doesn't spill everywhere. (unlike a certain Japanese manufacturer's product)Altogether,I am very impressed with the Vallejo range and will be replacing my exiting range with these in the future.

This is a very good quality thinner for mixing with acrylic paint before using it in an airbrush. It thins the paint without diluting the colour and has a very low odour. I also use it when I want to create a wash out of paint. The 200ml bottle is a decent size and should last most fine detail artists for quite a while, unless you're painting very large images! Vallejo acrylic paints and accessories are available everywhere and are excellent in terms of both quality and the absolutely huge colour palette available.

I got this for use with the Model Air range of paints as I was finding that even at 25 psi blockages where still occurring. Using this thinner at a ratio of about 20/80 removes this problem. It also helps a lot if you want very thin layers, say 50/50 for colour modulation, as it keeps the paint in a much better 'condition' than using just water - as you might expect.A small but useful point is that it's fitted with a drop type applicator which makes controlling the amount of paint far better.

I went for these thinners as I have finally got myself a nice airbrush (Harder & Steenbeck Infinity) and want to be absolutely sure of the quality and consistency of everything I put through it, and I know I will never go too far astray with Vallejo products. They work well with the Vallejo primer (as you'd expect) and I am also getting great results with the Jacquard Lumiere range of metallics.Good stuff, not much else to say but I hope this is of use!

Superb product that complements Vallejo Model Air and Game Air paints perfectly, improving flow and allowing you to fine tune the finish from your airbrush. Very low odour, that is not unpleasant and cost effective in the 200ml size if you are planning to do a lot of painting. I also use this as a diluent/thinner for other acrylics which improves flow properties and helps rejuvinate paints which have started to dry out. Works well with GW paints too.

Wow, what a difference buying this thinner has made. I have previously been using Mr Hobby thinner with my Vallejo paints and not really had great results. It actually changed the colour of some of my paints! This one however worked flawlessly. My paints sprayed out perfectly, it doesn't stink of chemicals and to make life even easier the squirty spout is perfect for airbrush work.If you're considering buying this, buy it. I'm so glad I did.

Vallejo paints in an airbrush, then these thinners are a must. I tend to use a 1:2 thinner to paint ratio, depending on the viscosity of the paint I'm using. The paint goes on better and keeps a much better consistency than if you were to thin with water. Not the cheapest, but does the job and a 200ml bottle goes a long way.Found easily on Amazon which was great saved on time, bought for a great price delivered on time with no hassle

Using various NONE airbrush paints I found that this item did the job very well. It is also useful when doing small area hand painting on a model. It definitely thins the paint. The package arrived by the estimated date and was very well packed. The item arrived by the estimated date and was in excellent condition.

Laterly I've been trying out Vallejo paint... using the right thinners for the product seemed sensible and, what-do-you-know, success on a plate for me. It does save a LOT of heartache using the same products stuff... AND not getting enamel mixed up with acrylic (only did it once. Not a pretty sight).

Took a while to get the hang of diluting but but it's an amazing product I had no jamming issues and the paint didn't clump in anyway like some had done to me before where it just wouldn't let the colour separate more and really made my art project easier than any others I've used

Good quality thinners with nozzle that can squirt or just deliver drops at a time. I really like this product with my only grip being I think it's over priced or the container should be bigger. But does exactly what it should and helps deliver fine paint coverage.

Good thinner for other acrylic paints by other companies as well as thinning down their products if needed.Vallejo paints for airbrushes are of the right consistency anyway but happy to have this product just in case.Quality product from Vallejo.
