Whiskey always comes down to personal preference. I tried this as I love Islay whiskey.I would say it's a mildly peated whiskey. Quite sweet with a hint of cigarre smoke. A very easy drinking whiskey with a nice aftertaste. I enjoyed a few glasses on the first sample.I paid under £50 and I wasn't disappointed.A very good single malt, however in my opinion it doesn't quite reach the standard of Lagavulin 16 (but then again I haven't found anything that does). If you love your whiskey and haven't tried this before then definitely give it a go!Plus the customer service from the sellers was excellent.

This is a superb whisky for those who like Ardbeg and Port Charlotte. Very punchy, peaty dram which is fine to drink as is, but add a bit of water and it really smooths out the flavour, leaving a nice lingering finish.Excellent value; 57.1% abv, natural colour, non chillfiltered scotch for £42? Nothing wrong with that!

Exceptional whisky from the Isle of Islay. It's a very powerful full flavoured whisky. Unfortunately this bottle was let down by taped up / damaged packaging, which isn't great as it was intended to be a birthday present. Oh dear. I will just have to keep it.

Simply fantastic. Wild coastal, barbecues and apples, Liquorice root and cinnamon flavours. Long lasting flavour that keeps on giving. A very special dram indeed. IMHO. As sweet & smokey as Caol Ila with the depth and complexity of Ardbeg.

I had never tried this before, but given it is cask strength and a nice peaty flavour I will be buying this again. Not as peaty and smoky as some Islay whiskies, but it's not a shy whisky and has a kick to it.

I like this Whiskey. It's a different flavor to the Ardbeg 10yo, but still in the same ballpark. It's also in the same league as Port Charlotte 10yo and Aberlour A'bunadh. Nice dram.

An excellent single malt whisky from Islay. Certainly not as peaty as the likes of 16yo Lagavullin or 10yo Ardbeg but still very enjoyable.

Great malt 100% proof I had to have a tot of water to develop the aromas and flavour.Too harsh to drink beat.

I love cask strength whiskies and this doesn't disappoint! Enjoy and savour - don't knock it back too quickly!

A nice whiskey, granted it is strong so it will last a while.
