This battery grip is definitely worth the price tag. As the Nikon D500 is a battery drain anyway it’s good to have an alternative to the official version. The grip comes with an insert for using the regular battery and another insert if you want to use a lot of AA batteries.====== Fitting ======The Grip attaches to the bottom of the D500 via a small screw similar to a tripod attachment. Be sure to move the rubber bung that covers the connection the grip will use to connect to the camera. I found the wheel you use to tighten it is a little smaller than the grip on my D800 and It doesn’t tighten as easily as hoped but you can still achieve security with no signs of a wobble.The grip fits snugly along the bottom of the camera and blends in for the most part as any traditional grip.====== Ergonomics ======The grip is comfy to hold and feels like my Nikon one on my D800. There is a front wheel and back wheel to change aperture and shutter speed respectively and each wheel clicks quietly to confirm selection. The shutter is on the top and sits nicely under the first finger like the camera. It has a lock dial under it which can be used to disable the device (remember to unlock it before you first use it or it won’t work). On the back of the grip is an AF-on button which I use for back button focussing. It’s got a little more resistance fractionally than the camera but I prefer it to be honest. Below that is a small joystick to change your focus point which allows you to move it horizontally and vertically, you can feel the soft click under your thumb. It’s not as dynamic as on the back of the D500 but it’s comfortable to use none the less and responds well.====== Using it ======The grip has meant I can shoot twice as long as normal as the battery lasts as long as when it’s on the camera. It’s handy especially for this camera as the drain on the battery is quite strong. I could use it naturally and was not restricted on how I wanted to use it - it’s exactly the same as using the camera controls.====== Conclusion ======This is a great purchase and definitely as good as the Nikon version. As someone who can’t afford to splash the cash for some of these gadgets it’s nice to know that there are other versions than the genuine ones. I would recommend this to any D500 user, it prolongs the battery and makes those portraits easier without forking our £350 for the real thing.

I've been searching the net for a while looking for a cheaper alternative to Canons BG-E13. which costs £250!!!!.My friend sent me a link to this one. Delivery was quick. No need to pay for express delivery, it was here within 2 days.After unboxing it, I was gobsmacked at the quality. Its brilliant. I've had cheaper ones before for my 50D and it worked but the quality is far superior on this grip. It is so well made the spare AA battery compartment comes with its own bag also. It feels sturdy and looks a treat on my 6D.I would recommend this to anyone looking to buy a BG-E13. You wont regret it!!

I am pleased with this grip. It seems well made. It matches the D850 camera body nicely and seems to be a good fit with no looseness that I can feel. The camera detects it, all the functions work and the shutter release and other controls have a good positive feel to them with no sloppiness. The instructions are clear. The only downside is that it cannot be used with the EN-EL18B battery so it cannot be used to get the higher frame rate that is possible with that battery in a suitable grip. So I would recommend it if you just want it for portrait orientation and battery life which is all I need.

The Pixel MB-D12 Battery Grip For Nikon D800 D800E D810 DSLR Digital Camera is not cheap; that said, it's nowhere near as expensive as Nikon's OEM MB-D12 unit. I suspect the Pixel unit is on par with what it does compared to the MB-D12 unit. Build quality I'm sure is not quite the same. Personally, I'm not too concerned, if it breaks, I'll simply buy a replacement.

This item is really well made and Works Perfectly with my Nikon D7200. What a difference it adds to taking Portrait Photos. Very strong but is still stable on the Tripod, my tripod can swivel round to take portrait photos or Landscape.And this extra battery gives more time to shoot photos. Great all round bit of Kit.....

I really like this, it's my second grip form Pixel and I'm very happy with both, One on my D810 and the other is on the D7100. The only little issue I have is that the rubber marks very easily but I can get over that as for the price you can't really complain.

This is a very satisfactory and smart alternative battery grip to the Sony product and can be relied upon. I have not had sufficient experience with the batteries to remark upon their life but have no reservations at present.

Solid construction, works just as I would have expected, and at a fraction of the price of the Nikon equivalent MB-D12. I guess this product is incompatible with the EN-EL18 battery that gives the increased frame rate.

Very good quality even though it is plasticI am using it with an A7ii and it fits like original.Buttons are a bit "clicking" when press but nothing major.For the price it's great

This battery grip not only looks and feels like a quality item, the only difference between this and the nikon variant is the cost. It fits well and on my D7200 works very well too

Well presented, good instructions, smells expensive even though it wasn't. The construction seems to be of good quality and suits my purpose well.
