I bought one of these for my younger dog as she has an abnormal build up of tartar on her teeth, and a larger bounce ball version for the older dog. Initially they didn't seem too interested but it wasn't long before they were hooked. Both prefer the ball, but will readily chew the bristle bone if the ball has been claimed already. The younger dog has a habit of play-biting the older one and he has soon learned to grab one of these and put it in front of her to tempt her away from his leg! Unfortunately he reacts to the rawhide discs (he's a sensitive soul with some food intolerances) but they are easily removable so it isn't a problem, and the toy is just as interesting to them without the food incentive. The bristles and rubber spikes have certainly helped remove some of the tartar build-up without the stress of having to try brushing her teeth. Both toys have been so well-loved and well-chewed that we are hoping Santa Paws may bring new ones for Christmas!

My dog adores this, I bought it at a deal price and after fighting to get it out of the wrapper I gave it to the pup. She demolished the treats almost immediately and somehow managed to disassemble the bone - I think it must have been a little loose when I gave it to her as she has not managed to do that since. Once I had put it back together she continued to play with it and it is still a firm favourite even without treats. I bought a pack of treats and put one on from time to time but she plays and chews it constantly. It is starting to show signs of wear at the ends and she has bitten off a couple of the tips from the rubber circle but the brush circle is still going strong.I brush her teeth lregularly and I see this as a useful supplement which will hopefully get any bits I have missed.

My dog isn't very toy-oriented but he loves this. I think it's working as a dental chew (unlike all the flavoured nylon dental chews I've bought, which he ignores). You have to screw the pieces together quite tightly, otherwise they come apart, but I've found that it keeps him occupied and happy for 15 minutes or so. The replacement "gnawhide" rings can be found at half the normal RRP on the web, and you can use one at a time rather than two, so it's not really expensive to refill. The bristles are quite tough, so I can see that they might be too scratchy for some dogs, but they haven't harmed my dog's gums. He has managed to damage one of the rubber knobbly rings so I'm buying him another bristle bone as a spare. It's worth it to see and hear the enjoyment he gets from this.

Lenny the Labrador loves this to bits. The best toy I have ever bought him. Being a cross with a rottie, he has very strong jaws, and loves to chew his toys. The added benefit of food for a Labrador makes this his perfect toy. When I gave it him, he played with it for 3.5 hours straight. When his mum (the wife) came home, he showed it to her and played again for a further 3 hours. We even heard him gnawing at it when we had gone to bed which is totally unheard of him (usually drops everything when we go). Glad I bought the refils at the same time. I doubt he'll be able to chew it to destruction, but if he does, I will most certainly be buying another.

I had a similar product - a dinosaur - my daughter loved it but she could get through the rings in seconds!!I saw this when I visited a friend and my dog loved it - I had to buy it!She has been chewing away for ages and still nowhere near getting through the rings - plus unlike other ones I have tried and bought this has bristles and rubber around the rawhide so it should help keep her teeth in tip-top condition!!!I don't usually allow her rawhide bones ect - but this is very small pieces reformed in a tasty ring - had no problem with digestion ect!

Rottweiler adores this, she is a strong chewer & she loves this. Even after the treats have been eaten she will roll it along the kitchen floor or down the stairs. She cant stop playing with it, she sleeps with it too. I wouldn't waste my money on other products Ive tried a few petsafe products and have been very impressed with the quality, durability and very ingenious design features. Whats not to love if the dog is happy to play for hours!

Bought this for my golden retriever, he loves it!! The discs are quite hard to get to but that doesn't stop him from chewing the bone. It's lasting quite well too, he usually demolishes bones in no time but this is still going strong. Will have to keep an eye on the purple bobbles though as he's started to nibble them. The replacement discs are very expensive though so only 4 stars, will be trying to find alternatives.

My dog started showing signs of boredom, he started to chew, rip, destroy my Chesterfield sofas! So I brought him this toy and a pack of refills. I brought various toys, all from the petSafe Busy Buddy range and the dog loves them. He happily chews the toys and enjoys taking the hide rings off. I switch up which toy I leave him with to keep him interested. What's more my furniture is in one piece.

I have to use peanut butter to get her to chew it, but goodness me she loves it and it does a great job on her teeth. And it goes in the dishwasher (no awkward cavities that you can't get food out of!!) I've had it for a year and the bristles and rubber nubs are basically worn out, whilst the body of the bone is still good. It would be good if you could buy replacement nubs and bristles for it.

Originally bought this for my teething puppy - brilliant. Now adult small breed he chews it without the rawhide ring, but I still treat him with the rings to keep his teeth clean and he loves it. Highly recommend (but do get the largest bone you dog can chew on - I keep my small one away from his visiting larger friend who's a Labrador and could try to swallow it whole!)

My 6 month old puppy starting chewing my furniture completely out of the blue. Tried toys, sprays and other chews but none worked except this. My little angel is now over a year old and (fingers crossed) hasn't chewed any of my furniture since she got this. Rings are a bit expensive (pets at home on line are the cheapest I've found) but it is well worth it.

This is probably the best thing I've ever bought my 11month old puppy. Since I've given it to him which was an hour ago he hasn't stopped playing with it. He's been so occupied with it and usually he begs for food but he didn't even realised when I had my lunch. It's defiantly a great purchase and stopping him from chewing on other things.

Great for strong chewers, Shepherd knaws on the bone ends all the time, but for some reason neither her or our Staff is interested in the rawhide until you take it off the toy... Kinda defeats the purpose of it, but, it is still being used, just not quite in the way expected.

My dog loves this toy. It is very good to give him to keep him occupied on a rainy day as he is a v quick treat eater but this gives him about 40 minutes to an hour of treat time nibbling at the chew treat rings that you put into the centre of the bone.

My beagle has managed to destroy most toys within 30 mins (even Kong and "undestructable" brands) This has lasted 6 hours so far, she is still chewing it and playing with it after this time! Excellent buy so far. Recommend highly for chewing
