A useful tool that actually did more than I expected, with the help of the remote app.Managed a few years without a remote but saw this and figured why not try it out, pleasantly surprised by it, though there's a few quriks.No batteries supplied, fortunately I have plenty, so used my own AAA's.I've noticed a slight delay to commands, sometimes, resulting in a double tap which obviously will cause a misspress but this is minor.So far batteries seem to be holding up well and I don't think there will be any major issues with battery drain but I have set my remote to switch off after a period of time using the device settings.Using the PDP cloud remote app on the Ps4 has programmed my remote to have some control over my TV,

If you're anything like us and you like to watch EVERYTHING through your PS4, this is a must! I was getting sick and tired of accidentally knocking the controller and skipping through a program or our controller losing battery so having to constantly be on charge. Decided to buy this remote and wish I had bought it sooner! Connects to TV (although we cant turn ours on with this remote as signal doesn't engage long enough) but can do everything else we need to be able to watch through PS4 in peace- switch input, control volume and control PS4 so no more accidentally knocking the controller and can reserve it for games only. Prompt delivery, official packaging.

I got this so I could use streaming apps on my Ps4 without having to leave the dualshock on to control netflix ect. It was easy to set up and came with a quickstart guide. What makes this remote so good is that it is bluetooth rather than ir so you don't have to keep pointing it straight at the ps4 get it to work and you can also download a free cloud remote app onto the ps4 which automaticly searches for your tv and then lets you control tv power volume and input. Plus I love the fact that it's so nice and compact.

Really pleased with this. Have been watching a lot of videos on my PlayStation 4 lately and decided a remote would be useful. Was considering a cheaper model but hadn’t read good things so went for this one. Glad I did. It’s small and lightweight yet still feels like good quality. Got all the genuine PlayStation buttons on it. Pairing it up was easy and there is an app on the ps store as well to help. Takes 2 AAA batteries which aren’t included. Amazon delivered next day. Really pleased with the service.

Not sure why I held off this for so long (probably price) but it solves the problem of using your PS4 to watch stuff. If you do that you know the ds4 is inadequate, with accidental shoulder button presses unavoidable and infuriating.This remote controls all apps, it has the full ds4 button inputs and additional media controls. It can turn your PS4 on and off, and setting up to work with my 10 year old Samsung TV via the app was near instant woth power, volume and input controls for it too.

Got this for my non-gamer partner so he could watch Netflix. It’s small (enough to lose in any sofa) and easy to use. Layout takes getting used to with the X and O in the same circle as the arrows. Navigates menu and video apps no problem. Could even play some simple games if they don’t need the analog sticks!Was a bit worried at first it didn’t seem to work but just need to follow some tricky instructions. No issues since set up. Requires batteries (not included).

Blu Ray player died when we moved home recently. So we discussed getting a new one and used my PS4 in the meantime. We found the picture and sound quality so good from the Playstation that we ordered this remotecontrol to use with the PS4. The remote is SO good it has the functions of our normally TV remote as well as making it 100% easier to use the PS4 as a Blu Ray player. Its intuitive, easy to set up and smart.

I can't believe I went so long without one of these. I use my PS4 more as a media device than a games console and this remote means I no longer have to keep the controller charged by leaving the PS4 in rest mode with it plugged in over night. It works perfectly with Prime, Netflix, iPlayer, and the built-in Media Player. It uses AAA batteries which are included, so there's no need to charge it.

This is a cracking little thing, not only does it do everything on the PS4 you need it to from scrolling setting to watching movies online via Prime, Netflix, iPlayer and so on... I now only need this one remote as it can be setup (extremely easily) to act as a TV remote too. No more needing to have the other remote to turn up/down the volume and turn the TV on/off as this does it all.

Previous to this I had the original media remote that required it to be woken up by pressing the ps button if left idle for 30 minutes or so, this new pdp is brilliant and works just like any normal tv remote, there is also an app that will enable the unit to have more functionality, for maximising your enjoyment, this is a definite must have for your Playstation 4.

I have read the reviews on this and some where good and some where bad but overall so far my experience has been okay. no problem with the promote works fine with you tube, Netflix, amazon prime, Disney plus apps and was exactly what i wanted tbh! So right now this reviews give it full marks. If there is an update below you know something went wrong!

I was sick of using the PlayStation’s game controller when streaming or watching DVDs, this does exactly what is needed. I was a bit concerned about a lot of the reviews for remote controls, but I’m glad I bought it, easy to control the PS4 and battery life is fine. Been using for a month or so and still showing a full 3 bars of power.

Ive knocked a star off as at the time i bought this, the advert stated batteries included. They wearnt.Amazon customer services were very helpful, amended the advert and sent me some batteries.The remote itself works fine, and does the job i bought it for...just couldnt use it straight away for the reasons above

Bought as a control for PS4. It’s very neat and easy to hold but if you have big thumbs it’s easy to hit the symbols when trying to hit the up and down arrows, don’t like the velvety feel of the wheel, it gets dusty but that’s a minor thing and just me. All in all pleased with the controller and would recommend.

Really useful for any use on the PS4 not related to playing games.It's brill for media use & streaming via the PS4.I use it for Youtube and playing movies from a server, connectedto the PS4 via WiFi. No shoulder buttons to cause inadvertent fastforwarding of media.Very intuitive.
