Great backpack that I use for cycling and on small walking/hiking trips. ( I got the M/L size) The backpack is fully adjustable, so shouldn’t be a problem to adjust and fit to your personal preferences. On walks I can get waterproof trousers, jacket, hat & gloves in the main compartment with ease. I usually put a beanie within the bungee elastic aswell. Then there’s an internal zipped mesh pocket (inside the main compartment – with key clip) and also a small external zipped pocket. The two side zipped pockets are big enough for a mobile phone with ease. I usually use the stretch pocket on the harness to store an energy/chocolate bar. Other features include an emergency whistle on the sternum strap,an attachment for a helmet (called – LidLock) which I haven’t tried out yet, an attachment for a clipped LED light, x2 stretch drinks bottle pockets, an ice pick loop, a walking pole loop, an ‘open’ hydration compartment (the hydration pack is sold separately). There are also a couple of loops to use as separate attachments if required. Obviously this pack is isn’t the biggest, but that’s why you’ve bought it hopefully, because you want a small hiking/cycling pack. It’s strong enough without being too stiff & robust, and seems lightweight and cool in use. You can wear it loose or fit it nice and snug. Very happy with this pack, but as always nothing is 100% perfect! My niggles.... 1/ The two side pockets are slightly behind me and almost out of reach when being worn. It would of fitted me better if they were a touch more forward around the side of my body to make them more accessible. 2/ There is no internal zipped rain-hood, you have to purchase one separately, and then store it in one of the compartments. No biggie, but I think an oversight on behalf of Osprey as they could have very easily put this facility on the pack and bumped the price up by a few quid. The separate raincover costs an extra £16, so when I paid £48 for the backpack in the first place, an extra £16 for a raincover seems quite a bit to pay on top. 3/ the LED light loop attachment is very thin and flimsy and I’ve had my light fall off on occasion. Maybe you could blame my light and say it’s not a tight enough clip, but I’ve seen other backpacks where the attachment is a lot thicker and more substantial and has extra material than the rest of the pack to beef up the attachment somewhat more. Anyway, very good backpack that is great in use, light and airy. If you’re looking for a small pack for short hikes or walks, or for cycling, I would heartily recommend this. Just falls short of 5 stars for me ( 4.5 / 5 ) and as always, if you can, get your eyes on this, in-the-flesh first and try it on in-person rather than just order it off the net blindly.

Have used this pack almost daily for 4 years now. Can hold a change of clothes and shoes when needed. Perfect sized pack when you need to carry and have available or doff a layer, in addition to safety and day's use capabilities. The pack's "narrowness" when fit means that I forget I've got it on, even after hours of wear. Hip belt pouches allow me to carry flashlight and snacks for times when I need either (or both). Tall side bottle holders keep even S'well (500ml) bottles in place securely (unless i need to run, in which case I loop an elastic "hair tie" through the relective loop at the top of the holder then loop the other end over the bottle. Now i can run and nothing shifts at all.)Just love the fit and usefulness of this pack as a daypack. it'd be poor even for an overnight pack, but single day use couldn't ask for anything better.

I use this bag as my day pack when I'm hiking. It's lightweight and small. You need to think through what you're going to take in it as it doesn't have a lot of room but is big enough for my 11 inch laptop, my purse and passport, my lunch, water, and an extra jumper. Recently took it as my bag on a flight and did find it a little finicky and probably too small for a long haul flight (28 hours) but I don't usually pack light!! On the return I took an extra bag for anything that didn't fit in it which probably isn't ideal. Still, I love how light it is, particularly with my computer in it and use it as a day bag for short hiking trips. It hasn't aged since I bought it about 12 months ago.

This is a very lightweight backpack with plenty of storage for a day hike, no more than that. It’s got a good amount of pockets for what you need to take with you and it can be expanded with the cords at the front. There are a few things that could be improved. The pockets at the side could be moved forward a little so you don’t have to reach behind you to get to them. The phone pocket on the shoulder straps is next to useless as modern phones don’t fit. A waterproof cover should be provided for the money the backpack costs. There are straps and bits that hang off, that don’t have a purpose, and are not in the instructions.

I bought this as a dedicated summertime day-hiking pack for one-day missions. I have to say, this is one of the best fitting packs I've ever owned. It feels like it's hugging me. I got the larger size (female, 5'9', long torso) and I'm so glad I did. The waist belt on many packs creeps up around my belly button, but this one stays put right over my hips. It's not huge, but it keeps me focused in my packing, which is a good thing anyway. I'm really glad I got it and it makes my hikes more enjoyable to have a nicer pack with good pockets and excellent function. I expect I'll enjoy it for many years and miles. Thanks Osprey!

Actually I bought 2 backpaks at the same time, black and blue, different size. I was looking through many bsckpacks. I didn't care about price(for me it's also expencive) but I was care about product. I'm completely satisfied about my backpacks. They metnioned, that blue colour is unisex. For me-blue closer to female. But it just for me. I ofdered drinking sistem and covers for my backpacks. Happy, highly reccomend, if you don't care about the price. By the way, very impressive-it's very lite but the same time it fills strong and firm. 5 stars from me!!!

Well made as you'd expect from Osprey and the price. Great size for a day pack or walking the dog. Both my husband and I use it without any size problems. The only downside is I'd prefer a pocket rather than elastic cording on the front. Have already recommended it to a friend who bought the ladies version (Tempest 9l) who loves that too.

Great small backpack! Carries well. If I don't want to have the straps around my waist I can click it together and let it rest behind my back. Perfect for summer hikes. Would recommend the Osprey Talon 22 for Fall or Winter hikes to be able to carry an extra layer or wool blankets to relax on the summits.

really good quality, much better than some others I have bought. I was worried it was too small but it fits loads for a 11 litre, much more than many a 18 litre. very comfortable, and adjustable to a perfect fit despite being an 11 litre bag, even on big guy..!

This bag is brilliant, the design and flexibility on what you can pack on or in it is amazing. Bike helmet, water bottle, walking poles plus all your daily needs. Would highly recommend watching the You tube video to understand its flexibility

One of the best packs in the market, very well made, they pack long years of experience by profesional backpacking engineers and designers. This one weekend pack will carry all your needs with confort and style. Beautiful and durable.

Perfect for cycling. The helmet clip is wonderfully clever. Can fit marking and work shirts in there. Space for a cover bag.Could be bigger but then would impact it being a sold cycle bag.Still feel the need to add lights mind.

Excellent as always, we have several products from Osprey and are very happy with them. They are comfortable regardless of weight, this is mainly due to so many ways of adjusting the pack for personal comfort.

Quality and functional backpack , size is about right for short hikes of a few hours . Expensive compared to a lot of similar backpacks , if a get a few years use out of it , it is money well spent.

I don’t mind paying for quality, this is a great day pack! High quality materials and features. Lots of pockets and great ventilation. Would be even better if it were waterproof. I love this pack!
