I'm a woman but bought this version of the bag even if it's for men. It sits perfectly on my hips and lower back. The bottles are a little smaller than I thought. The side pockets are nice for small object - car keys, etc. and main pockets big enough to carry enough for a short half day walk. Perfect bag for 2-3 hours hikes but would take a bigger one on longer walks.
