I bought this for a trip to Europe. I'm from the U.S., and I heard that pickpockets and thieves are common in big cities, much more so than in the U.S. So I bought this money belt and put my passport, driver's license, credit cards, and extra cash in it. A money belt is one of the best ways to hide valuables. It can be worn under your shirt or under the waist of your pants. I found it the most comfortable and invisible under the waist of the pants. It was so comfortable I often forgot I was wearing it. It has a very secure fastener, so I never had a problem with it coming off while I was walking around. In fact sometimes I had some slight difficulty getting it to release, but that wasn't a big deal.I was on my feet pretty much all day when I traveled, so I was worried that it might get sweaty and my money and passport would get wet. This turned out to be no problem. Everything inside stayed dry.The only problem with the money belt is that it is difficult and somewhat embarrassing to access in public. I found the best thing was to also carry a wallet with enough cash for one day in it, and all my other cash and credit/debit cards stayed in the money belt most of the time.As for the construction quality, it appears to be well made. I only used it for 2 weeks so far, but in that time I never had a problem.I highly recommend this product for travelers to high theft places.

I used this on a 2 week trip to Germany. It worked as advertised. This is a smaller money belt that is capable of holding a passport, a very small travel wallet (only a few credit cards and drivers license), and some money. There is a mesh separator inside to give you a "front" or a "rear" area. The mesh kind of got in the way, and routinely collapsed as you tried to push stuff into the pouch. The strap has some elasticity to it, and it held around me just fine. It was comfortable to wear, and didn't hamper my movement.I found the passport had to be moved/manipulated routinely in order to pull the zipper closed. The top edge of the passport was right at the zipper opening,so I had to pull the upper part of the opening over the passport in order to close the zipper. It wasn't too bad, but it would have been nicer if the entire passport could fit in the main pouch without sticking out of the zipper opening.A few days into the trip, the zipper cover (an area that the zipper recesses into so that it doesn't rub on your clothes) failed. It became an frayed flap. It didn't really hamper the performance of the belt. My wife had the identical item, and her flap did not fail. Go figure.I'll probably upgrade to a larger money belt, as this one was a bit small for me. Fortunately, I bought it when it was on sale for less than $6. Good buy for that price.

I'm going on a two week trip to Europe: Barcelona, France, Italy, etc & I heard horror stories about all the Gypsy pickpockets so I decided to get this just in case. I was debating this one or the more popular larger version that had over 100 reviews, this only had one review. This money belt is very well made, very light & thin & the front is made of parachute nylon so very strong, the back is a soft mesh, the belt is a standard elastic belt that is stretchy. This is made in Vietnam which is way preferable to made in china or Taiwan, I've noticed clothes & other items made in Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Egypt is very well made. There was absolutely no loose threads inside or outside, most items you turn inside out & there is loose threads everywhere & I have to use a lighter to burn all the threads. The only downside is this money belt is small. It will hold a passport (with leather case) in the back compartment & money (dollars or larger euros) in the front compartment, that is it. If you are planning to use it to carry phone, lighter, gum, whatever, forget it, this will hold passport & money only. I kinda like that since other items would make this bulky & will sag anyway. I'll just carry the phone, lighter, cigarettes, etc in my pants pockets. Overall this is cheap insurance against those pick pockets.

Wore this almost 24/7 during 2-week vacation (24/14? :)). This is NOT a fanny pack - it's meant to be worn concealed between undies and trousers, so only flat objects (passport, bills, VERY FEW coins or keys - though it won't pass security scans with coins or keys in it :( ) should be carried in it. That said, it fit comfortably enough. Only opened it once or twice a day (in private, of course) to get out cash or whatever for the day ahead. Only a minor inconvenience using the toilet. Only took it off for showers and romantic interludes. I have a 32inch waist, and didn't fill it up with phones and such, so the elastic never got stretched much. I read some complaints about the clasps, zippers, and elastic giving out, so I was careful not to overload the belt and not overuse its 'moving parts'. It DOES feel lightweight, even flimsy; but, this also made it more comfortable. I was needlessly concerned about the size of the pockets; it turned out my passport fit neatly in the larger pocket when tucked up under the zipper, and euros fit in the smaller pocket the same way. An added level of security that they didn't just slip right in, or out, of the pockets, yes?Summary: perfectly adequate holder for important papers; not likely to take much wear-and-tear. Would have preferred a slightly lower price.

Rick Steves recommended this belt, so I bought it. Good thing. I always had my passport, money and cards on me. Even when I slept. It's comfortable enough that I never noticed it. (I took it off when I showered and a few times, but you get the idea.) I would rather be safe than sorry. In one of the hostels I stayed at, a group of backpackers were robbed, thinking their stuff was safe in their rooms. Not so.The deluxe version was big enough to fit my valuables, and I would recommend this version over the standard one, which is much smaller. The deluxe wrapped around my lower stomach, but it wasn't that noticeable. I would carry a little bit of money in my pocket, so I wouldn't have to reach into the belt.As far as sweating goes, I travelled in early fall across Europe. I didn't have to worry about heat and perspiration. A few times, when I went running in London and Florence, the money belt did retain the moisture from my body, but it was nothing to be uncomfortable.Overall, I felt very safe and comfortable wearing my money belt. Obviously, if someone was intent on mugging me, a money belt would probably not deter them. However, as far as petty theft goes and opportunistic pickpocketing, having a money belt is just a smart idea.

This is an awesome travel belt for the price. I loved the color (let's be honest though it's to serve more as function rather than style) and how compact it was underneath my clothes. I wore this belt almost everyday on my recent trip to Morocco and at times I had to feel my tummy to make sure it was there not because I was worried that it had fallen or anything but rather because it was so comfy with the soft backside of the belt and easy to wear with the stretchy band in the back that I forgot I was even wearing it. I've bought cheaper clunkier belts before that were uncomfortable and that I'd remove, thus rendering the belt useless so it was a pleasure to find a belt that I actually wanted to wear. The only issue that I found was that I wanted to be able to put a bit more in the belt than sizing would allow and thus why I gave it 4 stars. Basically, all you will be able to fit are cash, credit cards, and for me a few copies of important info like hotel addresses and passport info. I have a slim iPhone and did carry it a couple of days but it was a little too packed for the wallet. Also forget about coin money! The undercover belt is too small to carry it.All in all, I would highly recommend this belt, the best I've found yet!

It laid flat against my body and easily fit under my clothes even though I had a passport, cash, credit cards, medical information, and itinerary in it. Only negative thing was I had to get in and out of it much by feel as I couldn't see it clearly (hey, I have breasts in the way, okay?! LOL) and the zipper pulls on both sections were on the same side and I often opened up the wrong section (my money was in one section, everything else in the other). It was a kind of difficult getting money out when trying to pay for something without everyone else seeing, but out on the streets or when seeing sites everything was well hidden from any bad guys and my hands were free to take pictures, hold on to subway poles, carry luggage, and my mind was free of having to worry if my money was secure. The strap held strong throughout my entire vacation. It didn't stretch out of shape or come loose or break. Good strong product. Glad I had it with me, but I'd like to suggest that the zipper pulls be on separate ends so you know which section you're opening if you're having to do it "blindly" and trying to be secret about it.

I'm a teenager and I was looking for a money belt for my study abroad to Paris, where you need to keep identification on you at all times. I wanted something discrete and...well... not dorky like a fanny pack (sorry mom!). This was perfect and did as advertised. The belt stretches and can be adjusted easily and appropriately. The fabric is also very soft and breathable. It holds my passport, a stack of cards (debit, credit, drivers license and a student ID) along with plenty of cash if need be. You can also fit a slim phone in it, but it will be more noticeable in front if you are wearing tighter clothing. My one dislike is that the zipper is not at the top of the pocket, but slightly in front of it,so if you have bills in the pouch, sometimes they catch on the zipper. I had a 50 that suffered a slight tear as a result of me hastily zipping the pouch back up and an irate shop keeper stubbornly told me it was "broken" and refused to accept it, so that's a possible but unlikely side effect. Just be careful zipping it up and don't rush.

I bought this money belt for our trip to Italy a month or so ago after reading articles about pickpockets in italy. It easily accommodated my passport, credit cards, license, and euros with no issues. The money belt has a sturdy zipper and two pockets inside. It was comfortable to wear and did not bulge or show through my clothing. Do not travel abroad without one! Pickpocketing is rampant in Europe, especially on public transportation and on subways, in particular. We made the mistake of taking the metro near Circus Maximus in Rome and I had my old beat up wallet stolen from my left front pocket as we got off the train. The culprits were apparently crowding the exit door and they actually grabbed my leg as I was trying to get out.Luckily, all they got was $10 US and a medical insurance card. My iPhone was in my other front pocket! I like to tell people that the wallet was a decoy! :) If you need to take public transportation, the bus is probably safer. Anyway, I highly recommend this product.

When you travel in foreign places and see the sights in tight groups, it is easier for pick-pockets to bump and run with your wallet/purse/valuables. When in Rome I was bumped by a thief. So when I traveled again on a tour, this money belt went with me. It adjusts from 26 inches around to 40 inches - however, the strap is elastic and can stretch to 50 inches if needed, but then would be a bit snug). The pouch is roomy enough to fit the passport as well as the bills I preferred to keep separate from my walking around money. Bear in mind, however, that if traveling in hot weather, one generally perspires and if wearing the Undercover belt next to the skin, one can expect to have rather soggy cash.In retrospect, I would have put the passport (or a copy of it) and the extra cash in a small plastic bag before sticking it in the belt. Hmmmm... I wonder if applying antiperspirant in the area where the pouch was being carried would have helped. Oh well, that is an experiment for the next trip.

as reviewers have stated, it does get a bit warm when you wear it. I bought this prior to a recent trip to London and Paris. There are warnings at all the tourist attractions to "watch for pickpockets." The problem I had was that I didn't carry enough cash in my pocket and my credit card was in the money belt. When I needed to get my credit card, I couldn't find a nice private place to access the belt. We managed to get it out from under my pants, but then I ended up carrying it in my inside jacket pocket. The belt was comfortable enough, except for getting a bit hot. I'm not a big "sweater" so that didn't bother me in the 65-70 degree weather. It's definately able to conceal things. I carried cash, passport and credit card with no problem. The buckle worked fine for me - didn't break and the material and zippers held up (although my use of the buckle and zippers was limited, as stated above). If you are concerned about pickpockets or muggers, this belt will work fine for you.

I used this money belt on a trip to Europe that lasted two weeks. With a trip of this duration, it was important to have something that would not develop a problem half-way in, since anything I'd find locally would be far more costly and likely too small. The sizing was right, the clip (despite feeling like it was cheap plastic) held up to repeated use and the dual pocket design was sufficient to hold my passport, a few credit cards and plenty cash (euro notes and coins). The only complaint I had was that the backing really could have been coated with waterproof fabric, thereby making it impervious to any sweat that came in contact with it. (It didn't cause much trouble, but my passport definitely seemed like it wasn't completely dry.) My wife and I were very active on this trip, and we both used these belts - given the fact it held up, I doubt we'll encounter any trouble with it next time around.

This money belt was my main safe for a two week trip to Europe (Switzerland & Italy). To give you an idea of the traveling time and how long I wore this our itinerary was as follows:GenevaLake GenevaMorgesGruyereInterlakenMilanVeniceBolognaFlorenceRomePros:-Very lightweight-Doesnt cause sweating with the material it uses-Easily able to access it myself-Excellent pocket division/partitioning that allows easy blind access-After 15min you forget its even thereCons:-If you do sweat or get rained on as I have, it does stick to you and takes a while to dry (But much could be said of anything that is right up against your backside.Overall:Highly recommend this money belt as it kept my passports, credit cards and cash safe on the trip. It did bend my passports a slight bit but at the end of the trip I just bent it the reverse way and its all good now. Excellent value as well.

This "fanny pack" is a far cry from the ones my father had in the 80's and early 90's. Instead of looking like a pelvis backpack with LSD colors and geometric shapes. This travel gear pouch has an extremely low profile. So much so that it was hardly visible when my wife wore it while we visited her family in Brazil for three weeks. As we were there in the summer in 100+ degree weather with high humidity frequent storms and lots of sweat. I was sure that she would be complaining about chafing or the uncomfortable feeling of the strap. But I am happy to say that she never complained once and what is more it fit all of our important documents, including passports, visa papers, cash, cards and our Samsung Blu cell phone which we purchased for the trip.I just wish it was a little bigger for an ipod I would use it for working out with my Bluetooth headset

I bought this for my future trip to Europe because I have read a few places it's a good idea to have one of these to store your important credentials etc. Since my trip is not for a while, and I run/walk a lot, I decided to put my ipod, phone, and keys in it so my ipod wouldn't be so heavy in my pocket when I ran. It worked great. I will probably not only use this for when I travel but for when I get my daily walk and run in too. I can fit my android phone, old Gen. 3 ipod and keys will no problem. I also stuck a nice stack of cash in there and my passport and it had no problems. Every thing seems like it will hold out fine for many years. I can conceal this under pants with no problems.Even with all that weight, it stayed snug to my waist line. This review is based on one use while running and the "out of the box" experience. Thanks for reading.
