Initially, on receiving this, I didn't think I was going to keep this bag. I wasn't mad about the colour-as it is a little less bright in tone than the Amazon pics show. However, once I opened the bag and placed a few items in to see how it felt to wear, I was amazed at how practical and functional it is. Here are a few things that made me certain I would keep it.Firstly, and for me most importantly, it weight very little and can be chucked in the wash if dirty. This matters to me, as I have small children who are generally covered in food and snot 50% of each day.Secondly, the bag has a comfy strap and has many compartments- perfect for dividing your phone from your keys etc. It also has a key strap!

The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the colour. It is a dull and boring shade of grey so ordered it in True Blue, a bit more expensive but for me personally, colour is richer and alot nicer. It took me a long time to find the right Kipling bag as I'm over the top fussy about size and style so was very happy to discover that this is the one for me. I prefer a top zip rather than a flapover. There is a velcro front pocket with a front zip pocket so plenty of room for keys and mobile phone. There is a zip pocket to the back of bag. Inside is surprisingly roomy and there is an inner divider of soft material which can or cannot be useful to the buyer. Plenty of inside pockets,

I bought this bag in the Royal Red colour which is a sumptious rich wine red. It is a typical Kipling bag with lots of pockets and zipped sections for organisation, although I found the internal separation into two sections rather puzzling and entirely unnecessary. In fact, it actually got in the way. Slightly larger items I usually place at the bottom of my bag would not lie properly and, in my opinion, this internal divider meant I could not fit in all my usual bits and bobs and so the bag was returned (albeit reluctantly). It was just that bit too small for me as an every day bag. For anyone who perhaps does not carry around sunglasses/spectacles, book, brolly, water, tablet, large purse/wallet,

Kipling Syro is an neat medium sized bag. This bags has handy front and back zipped compartments. The main section is also zipped. Inside is another zipped section and internal open pockets. The zips are very strong and smooth running - great for security and convenience.I love Kipling bags - they are well finished, water resistant, store flat, extremely light weight, washable, strap is adjustable and stays in place. I have stopped using leather bags as I am fed up of the amount of care they require to keep looking smart - leather scratches easily and absorbs spills leaving unsightly stains that are tricky to remove. I pop my Kipling bags into the washing machine ( 30 degree wash and in a laundry net)

I chose this bag because I wanted a 'label' bag in a soft fabric which would squash into a cabin bag for going through Security at airports. I like the label 'Kipling', they are funky and fun to own. I have several.I chose this particular bag in silver because I only wanted to take one handbag away on holiday and this colour compliments all of my day and evening clothes. It does not look very big for evenings packed with makeup, hairbrush, purse etc., but for a day out it will hold easily a 'mac in a sac', umbrella, sunglasses, camera, plus the makeup, hairbrush & purse.Although I bought the bag with holidays in mind I started using it here at home as soon as I got it.

The bag was just what I was looking for in terms of suitable in size and appearance for day to day use in town, on holiday and impromptu rambles in the countryside. Very roomy for a bag of its size.One small thing however is that, in my opinion the bag has a small design fault. I find that the zip of the main compartment requires two hands to open it i.e. one hand to hold the end of the zip taught while using the other hand to pull zip open. Not always possible when I have my hands full. I will overcome this by stitching the end canvas of the closed end of the zip to the canvas where strap is fastened on to the bag. This should give me the leverage needed to open zip single handed.

These bags never fail to please me, light, washable, plenty of space, I just love them and I wanted a brown bag and this one was so cheap, I had to have it. The best thins about Kipling bags is that the pockets and spaces inside the bag are usually much the same so I can swap bags quickly and know where everything is. These are ideal for older people as they are so light and the shoulder strap does not cut in.The quality is excellent, never had a zip fail.One thing I hated was the horrible plastic monkey, I always take them off anyway and replace with a nicer fluffy animal!!! As they are called Kipling why not use the other animals that are associated with R. Kipling?

Would have given it 5 starts if my 4-year-old iPad 2 fitted in but slightly annoyingly the height of the bag fell short by a whisker (1.5 cm) to close the zip over it. However, as I didn't expect to fit the iPad in, I can't really fault the bag. It was just as expected with a lovely design, true to the product photo. The only slightly odd thing was that the zip didn't go all the way from end to end - one side had a little gap (I can push my thumb through), which is strange because on the Kipling website the bag was described as water-resistant. Which it mostly is, but for this one little gap. But I expect that probably won't really matter much for most people.

I researched various Kipling bags before purchasing Syro and was pleased that I did. I have already used it many times the first being a visit to LEGOLAND. With a zip pocket on the back of the bag, my money was safe. Plenty of room inside for various items and a further zip on front held camera and phone plus a Velcro pocket for instant access to tissue, wipes etc. I wanted this to wear across body so that hands were free to supervise grandsons. I would certainly recommend this style for anyone who wants a bag to take bits and essentials but not to weigh heavily whilst being used. If required, it would take a small umbrella in one of the inside sections.

I already had this bag in a dark colour & really wanted a pale one for summer. Not being able to get pale one from same place as before ( QVC todays special value ) & seeing the price they were charging, had a look on my faithful AMAZON.What a bargain & NO P&P !! this bag has enough compartments to keep everything in its place, no more delving about for things in bottom. I find it particularly useful when flying, with zipped place on back of bag just right for tickets & passports, & zipped one on front for our medicines needed while travelling, I cannot recommend this bag highly enough, don't bother looking elsewhere just order from Amazon

This bag is smaller than I usually buy from Kipling. It required some re-organisation but as a result much lighter to carry. Good selection of zip pockets and pouches. The only thing that I don't like is that the zip is not secured to the bag on the closed side of the zip and needs two hands to close on most occasions. I like the inner divider in the main body as it is great for mini iPad protecting it from the rest of the stuff in your bag. I don't think you would get anything bigger than an iPad mini in there. I do like the bag but I think I wish it was just a bit bigger. I guess I will get used to it as it a very nice looking bag.

I love my Syro bag. I was given an Alenya (?) bag for my birthday and it's great if you're going out for the day but the Syro is a perfect size everyday handbag. It looks quite small in the packaging but this is quite a tardis and holds everything I need (and I don't travel light!!). I agree with the other reviewer who said there didn't seem to be any point in seperate it into two compartments - I would have much preferred just one big compartment. Also has a phone holder big enough for a large smart phone - hooray!! I would buy one in every colour if I had the money I love this bag so much. (My 7th Kipling bag and my favourite).

The bag was delivered very quickly and I am very pleased with it. Lots of pockets and a central divider to organise my stuff....largeish purse, mobile, notebook, pen, optical sunglasses, spare foldup shopping bag, usual cosmetics, brush etc. Even found another small interior pocket after I had been using bag for a few days! The outer zipped pockets mean I can keep eg. theatre or travel tickets and documents handy but securely.The shiny/dull effect of the fabric makes bag look smarter in my opinion. I need a practical bag that I can take anywhere holiday, shopping, meals out, theatre etc. and this fits the bill for me.

I have more Kipling bags than I have room to keep them in! Love them all. Am quite a Kipling addict since I bought my first one. Also have the carry on luggage case. So many pockets in that, can fit in a lot of stuff. Just bought this zebra one, just for a change, and the prices are so cheap at the moment. Only thing I'm not so keen on is that the lining is white and makes the bag look a bit on the cheap side. Would have been better if it were the grey Kipling lining. Still you can't have everything for this price. Plenty of pockets and not too big and unwieldy. You really can't go wrong with a Kipling bag.

I've wanted a Kipling bag all year but couldn't decide on size or colour. Then the strap on my everyday bag wore through and I decided to bite the bullet and order a kipling. The syro bag is a great everyday size with good pockets for my various bits and pieces.I love the colour and the fabric, but best of all I love the monkey. I see a lot of women using Kipling bags and this one was keenly priced. It arrived promptly and was well wrapped. I use Amazon a lot when I'm buying presents as its reliable and items are received quickly. Now I will be using it a lot for my own purchases too.
