Just received this and I absolutely love it! It's good big bag which swallows all my stuff and unlike many largish bags, has a secure, sturdy but attractive zip closure, rather than just a magnetic button or the dreaded velcro, potentially snagging delicate items. It has useful organisation inside, with specific pockets for pen and phone, as well as an additional slip pocket, a zip pocket on the opposite 'wall', and the typical Kipling attached key fob. The large slip pockets on the outside ends are ideal to keep water-bottles upright, rather than having them kicking around inside where they could leak all over everything; or to have tissues readily accessible without rummaging.

I have been buying Kipling bags for a number of years and love them for a number of reasons.This pattern appealed to me because it is more subtle than some of my other bags and the colours are beautiful, there is a slight glimmer to the bronze stripe.For every day use it is practical, I could get a spare pair of comfy shoes in here as bell as an umbrella, on both ends there is a handy pocket that I have uses to carry bottled water. In this case the monkey is plastic but it looks a bit too small on a bag this size, I may add one of my others from a black bag for a fun look.Inside are the usual phone holder, key fob zipped pocket and pen holder as well as another that I use to keep a mirror in.

Lovely colour- not too in your face, but a perfect light blue for summer.Alenya is a perfect size for holidays or daily use if you like large ish bags.Will easily fit iPad, kindle etc or a book, bottle of water, large wallet and make up bag. Two side pockets great for lip balm, mints etc. Roomy front pocket perfect for keys, ( i don't like the key tab as I have too many key rings on my keys), work pass and mobile phone etc.I decided on alenya as I thought the Gabbie had just too many pockets- I'd forget where I put things!In all, if you want to be a bit braver with your colours - usually I'm dark colours or purple, starlight blue is a perfect option. Would make a lovely gift.

I love this bag! It arrived less than 3 days after me ordering it (Saturday evening) and it is perfect for every day use and can hold all one's bits and pieces (wallet, work pass, keys, mobile, lip balm, hand cream and a bottle of water and a regular size book too. I cycle to work sometimes and wanted a bag that I could, if need be, pack away into a rucksack as I was getting fed up with transferring everything from bag to bag, depending on if I was cycling or bussing in. I also didn't have a proper 'home' for the things in the above list and so needed a bag to help with this This Kipling bag is just perfect and I think it may well become my New Best Friend!

Was so unsure about buying this bag, previous reviews mentioned it being too big! And more equivalent to a nappy bag...well mines perfect...I have kids and a nappy bag and its not the size of a nappy bag, about half the size of one. I got it in the orangey yellow colour which is so uplifting. It's got three compartments inside and three outside but they all blend in to the bag perfectly. It's not bulky but can fit an appropriate amount of things....gloves, spectacle case, phone, purse, calculator etc...I usually carry a fair bit of stuff, like all women it's fair to say, but it's not bulking and the ability to make the strap longer is fantastic.

I have a previous alenya shoulder bag so I knew what I was getting. My previous alenya was the purple spotty one so this time I wanted a plain colour. The grey goes with most outfits. One reason that I love kipling bags is that they are light, leather bags are too heavy for my bad back. They are also very practically designed and well made The alenya has pockets at the side that are open, these are ideal for sunglasses or bottles of water. The alenya may be too big for some people but I find it ideal for holidays and days out. By the way, if like me, you do not like the monkey key ring, it is easily detached.

Oh dear, another Kipling bag for the collection. I have this in the blue pattern and it us do useful that I got the 'staple' black. It only has the one section plus outer zip & usual inner pocket, phone holder, so I find it much easier to use as an essentials bag. Used as my travel bag, it is lightweight but held 2 iPads, phones, purse, travel documents, hairbrush, magazine etc easily . The black is an embossed leaf pattern and I love it. Best of all I got it on deal of the day for a bargain price. It's worth keeping watch as the price can vary by £50 ( honestly). So, my excuse is it was a bargain

Absolutely loving this bag. It's light but roomy - big enough for my large purse and all 'the bits' that I carry around. Will hold my camera too. Easy to see inside and the key cord is very useful. I'm also able to keep a small umbrella in the outside pocket instead of using space inside. I have another Kipling bag with a divided interior and more pockets. I still like it but this is better as I can never remember which side I put things and small things somehow got tucked under the bag. Much happier with the new bag. Will order another in a different colour.

I like the bag for the size, functionality (if that's even a word), the design details, the quality of the product overall and how lightweight the bag is. Everything the reviews said were true, and more. My only complaint is that the Golden Brown shade is darker than the picture indicated. Not that it is bad, it just wasn't what I was expecting. I contemplated returning the bag, but I have decided to just suck it up and live with it. Buying online is always a risk, and I took one. It was almost a perfect buy.

As a Kipling bag addict I am surprised that I haven't encountered Alenya before. This is a great bag with plenty of room and all the Kipling hallmark features - lightweight, well-designed and stylish. I especially love this Champagne colour - it really does have a faint sparkle and the colour of some darker champagnes. It brightened up the winter for me and being slightly shiny has sloughed off even Scottish rain and mud.

This bag was slightly bigger than I had expected, but I still love it. I have a handbag organiser which fits perfectly so everything is at hand and still leaves room for a telescopic umbrella. It is great, strong material, and so much lighter than previous bags that I have had. I love the colour and I'm very happy with my purchase. I would recommend especially as this was a very good price compared with other outlets.

After reading some reviews about it being too large I almost didn't purchase this bag. In fact, I waited two weeks before I made the purchase and I am SO glad I did. The bag is a little smaller then some of the review led me to believer, however, it is the perfect size for what I was looking for. It is truly lightweight, which is something I have been misled on with other bags. Could be happier with my purchase!!

I have many Kipling bags but this one suits my needs more perfectly than any of the others. Love it! I wanted a bag that didn't have too many compartments because I can never remember where I've put what. This one I can put my purse and specs in front zipped compartment my phone and a carrier bag in each side compartment and everything else inside. May have to buy it in another colour (just to ring the changes).

excellent bag, so very spacious and the outside pockets are perfect to store my reusable shopping bags in, without scurrying around in the bag, the front zipped compartment is excellent for a large sized ladies wallet purse, inside there is so much room, brolly medium fold up one can fit in, along with all the necessary items us ladies like to carry with us.great colour,

I spent a month in PDR China and I found this bag excellent. Initially I thought it was a bit big. When I used it, I found it perfect, comfortable to carry - passport, bottle of water and smallish incidental purchases. The shoulder strap is easy to adjust for circumstance for use on shoulder or cross body.I am delighted with my bag.
