It's been 18 months down the line since I paid out for this bag, I'm so glad I waited to write this review. I waited for a long time to write this because I've purchased bags before that fall apart after 6 months. This bag has been with me for a year and a half and I have to say, it stil looks as good as when I first received it.The bag comes in it's own Visconti marked bag, it's presented very well, the price you pay is definety worth the money, I was a little afraid that this bag would look very out of place on a guy, but I have to say I wear a lot of suits to work etc and it doesn't look out of place at all!The bag is made of leather and the strap is strengthened by a material running on the inside of the strap.

First impression positive, my bag came wrapped in plastic and paper and then in another bag also wrapped in plastic and paper. 10/10 wrapping. Investigaton continues. We proceed by opening the bag to find a pleasant look and feel to the material. The strap seems like durable naylon with leather on the outer side, feels rather sturdy unless you carry boulders for you day job. We take a look at the side and find a cool looking leather and metal tag as well as strong looking bindings reinforced with a stud, have to appreciate the details so far on this bag. Zipper to a small compartment on the back. Finnaly the inside which seems to have a couple of small compartiments inside,

Yes, this is well made. There's a zipped pocket on the outside back of the bag so you can access stuff without flipping the flap open. However, if the zip was just a centimetre longer it could accomodate A4 papers which would be nice, but it cannot.I like the magnetic fastners on the front flap.It is a good size. It's smart and compact but CAN easily accomodate a lever-arch file or 2 A4 ring binder files in the main compartment.The bag is not particularly light, so when full can be quite weighty. This is not helped by the abundance of pockets and flaps; such a relatively small bag does not need so many compartments.The shoulder pad on the strap is more of a shoulder grip.

This is a beautiful bag.The first one I ordered I actually got sent some outdoor jacket instead (?!) so this is the second order technically. It's extremely well packed and the quality is evident.A couple of points related to other reviews:1. I didn't get any colour bleed even on a white shirt - it's not been a problem at all but it'd likely be batch dependant, either way it's a natural byproduct of the dyeing process.2. The top of the strap is leather, the bottom is nylon. This was surprising but it works quite well even though the nylon can dig into your skin a bit with a full bag and a thin top on. It would be better with a full leather strap but this would be expensive at the right thickness.3.

I did a lot of research prior to buying this bag. Reviews mentioned issued with peoples clothes being stained by the colour and others remarked that they wished they had gone for the larger version. I took all the comments on board and after some thought I purchased this "man bag". I am so glad I did as it is a very decent size for my needs as holds my diary, A4 size note books and plenty of room and pockets for phones, pens, smaller books and lunch box etc. Have had no issues with the stain although I have been wearing dark coats and tops so I would not notice even if it did rub off. The quality is excellent and I love the smell of the leather.I am also a tall guy (6.4")

It's very well made and is very structured but visually it's more like a briefcase with a strap than a messenger bag.this will take an A4 folder so is you don't want something so wide, look to a smaller size.the depth is quite shallow compared to it's width and because it's so structured (ie the walls of the bag are thick and sturdy), there's not a lot of give in it , so if you want to place something bulky in it, you won't be able to close the flap.It does look very slick and professional though.I did measure it and compare it to my current bag and it's slightly smaller than that, yet in real life, it looks wider and because of the way it's designed, it will be lucky if it holds half of my current bag.

Exactly as described. Good quality and with a great new leather smell. Well made and comes in a nice pull string cloth bag. The leather is nice and supple and the pockets are well laid out and spacious. It will fit a 13 inch macbook pro in a cloth case snugly, though anything bigger may be not a comfortable fit. It will hold A4 papers and note pads comfortably but not A4 ring binders as they are too tall to allow the bag to close properly. Ideally, it would be 3-4 cm wider, but it is what it is. For a 14 inch laptop with no case, this would be a very snug fit so maybe not so suitable, since you would probably want to put it in a protective case.

I wanted this bag for work, and had been worried as to whether, being smaller than the XL versions, it would have enough space for A4 files. As it turns out, - no problem at all. Of course if you want to carry loads of files, or very large ring binders or similar, then you will want the larger one, but this is just fine for a4 pads and the odd A$ wallet. Carries everything else I need also, and as I went for the Mocha and not the oiled finish, there's no problem with the colour transferring to clothes.I've been really pleased with this bag. It replaced an Oakley bag I had for nigh on 20 years and loved, so it had to do very well to match up- and it succeeded. It's very well made, well finished,

I was looking for this kind of bag on all branded stores like Zara, Ted Baker etc but finally got this design which was in my mind.Bought this year ago. Mine didn't came with this rugged look which shown in pictures here. I was bit disappointedeven I talked to dealer 3-4 times. He told me the polish styling is always kept changing with 10-15 % in colors.Finally I dropped the idea of returning it only for the minor color difference. and started using it.Its an amazing Leather bag. very much finished and strong product. Very smart, goes with casual as well formal clothing."but take care of your white and light clothes at this bag leather polishing keep stains on your clothes for initial days."But still its worth product.Perfect for small laptop/tab + books,

Think everyone had said it all on the positive side, main reason for adding a review is just to say I agonised for an afternoon between this and the larger version because I didn't want to look like I had a rucksack over my shoulder.In the end I went for this model but I would say you have to think about what you're taking out with you, still like it but think now the slightly bigger one would have been just a little more functional without being too big at all!So if you're having the same dilemma, I'd suggest the bigger one if you've got much more than an iPad, notebook and a couple of thin files to take with you and if you find it's too big, perhaps we can swap!One last thing,

Absolutely first class product. It does exactly what it says in the product details. I hate having keys, glasses, sun glasses, wallet and other junk stuffed in pockets. This bag takes the lot, and even small items of shopping. It is comfortable to wear/carry, the strap does not chafe the shoulder. It is amazing what you can pack into this bag without it losing its shape. I recommend it to anyone, not cheap but it is still very good value for money. It also looks smart, and is getting better with wear! Amazing. Back me into a corner and force and adverse comment and I did have to have one pair of trousers dry cleaned after using the bag from new, the 'oil brown' finish did rub off, just a little,

Beautiful and elegant - it is one of the finest looking bags I've ever used. Unfortunately I discovered 3 days after purchasing that it is far from secure enough to walk around London with. I was on the tube and some guy was waiting to leave. He put his hand almost in my bag before noticing me and making up some excuse that he was waiting for the door to open. Sadly, too many people in the UK walk around with their bags practically hanging open. Didn't both with reporting it as the police are far from interested in bag snatches - let alone attempted ones. *sigh* It's far too easy to pickpocket, so I am not surprised this goes on. However, I will in future buy a zip or clip variant.

Very pleased with my "man bag", not too small and yet not too big, just right for various office paperwork and a diary plus magazines and of course my sandwich box, and looks very stylish. Having read other reviews regarding staining on light clothes, the bag comes in a cloth dust cover/bag and the flap is protected by thick paper inserts which did have slight grease marks on them, so yes, I will be aware that it will probably leave marks on light clothing, but I'm hoping as the bag "dries out" the risk will lesson. The bag arrived 2 days before estimated delivery date....well impressed of the service, but there again never had any problems where delivery is concerned from Amazon.

I ordered this messenger bag Wednesday afternoon and received it the next day. The provider was fast on delivery. As far as the bag goes, it also exceeded my expectations. The quality is great and looks durable (have had the bag one week now). It has enough room for my 14" laptop, cords, 10" tablet and other items. It is not extremely light but what can you expect when purchasing a leather bag. The color is great and very comfortable to wear. I've got a 1 1/2 hour commute to the office taking a train, underground along with walking over a mile to the office and find it sits well over the shoulder and with the compact form factor sits easily on my lap when on the train/tube.

Originally ordered in mud brown as thought the mocha looked shiny in the picture but concerned about the oil that had come off on the packaging and the comments in other reviews so changed for the mocha. This was exactly what I wanted and not shiny at all - a lovely matt dark brown finish and good quality leather so really pleased. It is for my son who is at university and did ring him to check on size after comments in other reviews but he is not going to be putting lots of large ring binder files in it, just A4 pad of paper, books, maybe laptop so this is ideal size. If you were wanting to be lots of files in, then go for larger size.
