I've already said that I found a kipling bag in a charity shop for a £1. When washed in the machine, it came up like new and I need big bags for all of my stuff. Since then, I've been a kipling addict and now have seven bags, the Alenya, the Latona, the Gabbie, the Defea and the Phila with matching purses all with fury monkeys. I have a few converts now as I gave Kipling bags for Christmas to friends and to three members of my family. I made a mental note of the size of handbag they'd usually wear and of course, the colour and style of dress. Not one of these bags were unappreciated. Infact, highly delighted. The expresso brown Gabbie was one such gift and hasn't been put away since Christmas day.All other bags apart from a few went in the bin. The colour of the expresso brown is a deep brown and matches almost any outfit. This bag is amazing. The quality is superb with the strong zips, the adjustable strap - can wear across body or from the shoulder. The bag is lined as are all the pockets and can hold so much. This bag is in Thailand at the moment. Let's hope the monkey gets to take tosome equally fab photos. Anyway, to give you an idea of what this bag can hold my Gabbie in Burnt Orange which I am currently using has my 7" tablet and charger, the creativity L purse, cheque book, card holder, make-up bag, epi-pen and other 'must haves', an A5 diary and writing pad, 3 pens, 3 large foldable shopping bags (don't want to pay for any when I go out), an A5 ID folder (recently changed my name), mobile phone and charger, my apple I-pod and headphones which are in another pouch (yes, a kipling one),3 sets of keys, 2 usb sticks in a pouch attached the key clasp inside, my e-cig and charger with more room should I need it. It's not heavy either due to wearing it across body for comfort and the ability to have both my hands free to do other things. The pockets house my keys, mobile phone and store loyalty cards. For security I keep all financial stuff in the main body of the bag. All the bags I have are versatile and easy to fold away for neat storage. What more can I say apart from that these bags are washable but not completely water proof so I spray all my bags with water proofing spray which does not alter the colour at all. Oh by the way, I always wait for Kipling bags to be on the lightening deal page but you have to be quick as they sell very quickly. Last but not least, all kipling bags have a two year warranty (not against wear and tear) so keep the receipt. For example, should a zip break and it would take a lot of force for this to happen, Kipling will repair it or give you another bag to replace it. If the style/colour is out of stock, you'll be offered another similar bag to the same value. I know this because I made enquiries purely out of curiosity at my local shopping outlet. Kipling know how to keep fans happy.

I’m a bag lady. I have all kinds of bags in different brands, shapes and sizes. My biggest collection is Kipling. I have the Alvar, Keefe, Tasmo, candy, fairfax, Reth and an Arto in my current collection and now the Gabby. I tend to read a lot of reviews before buying a bag (and also watch videos if I can find them) I like to see what the item looks like and how it measures up in day to day life.I decided to buy the Gabby as the reviews were brilliant and also had the many compartments I love that keep me coming back to Kipling over and over again. I absolutely love the Metallic finishes on some of the bags. This colour is beautiful and I love the metal monkey, however I find this bag to be quite bulky and if it’s not full,it doesn’t seem to hang right. I wear all my Kipling bags across body as I have mobility issues and use crutches to help me get around. This bag when it was full not only kept getting in the way of my crutches but was actually quite heavy, now I know it depends on what you put in it that will determine how heavy it is as we all know Kipling bags themselves are very lightweight but I didn’t fill it to the top and have everything apart from the kitchen sink in it.For me this is too bulky and heavy for everyday use but it’s a bag I will use if I need to take extra with me on hospital trips or family days out. Kipling standard was brilliant as always and no issue with the manufacturing, just was too big for my everyday bag

I am very pleased with this purchase. I am a big fan of Kipling bags and for me personally, the way the whole bag just falls when empty or with not much stuff in it is part of the Kipling charm. I bought this as a day bag specially for our travel in Madeira and I am not disappointed with the amount of things I can fit inside. I have put 2 bottles of 500mls. mineral water inside, a can of soda, maps, packets of tissue, purse and some souvenirs plus my chunky Fujifilm instax mini 8 camera (have to mention camera brand and model for scale) and there was still space inside! The colour is more canary yellow than bright yellow and is not too harsh on the eyes.I am 5'8 in height and with the shoulder straps at its full stretch the bag fits snugly just around my hips making it easy for me to zip and unzip it without having to twist around or pull it up. The amount of compartments in this bag is also handy, you can designated near enough everything you own in its own space so you don't have to fuss around looking for it. Inside is just plain white though, unlike some of the Kipling bags with gray spotty design on the inside. That aside, this is a good sized day bag that can withstand the elements as well as I had used it when it was raining and it kept everything pretty much dry inside.

.This is very much my partner’s review; this is a good bag if you want one larger than the Kipling customary size. I was able to fit in A4 pads and my regular size iPad. It is good for travelling as all valuables and documents fit into it, as it is large and strong. It is great for flying as I was able to have everything I needed on the plane with me and not worry about things being in the overhead locker. The colour is very smart looking and goes with everything. It is a practical shape but it is best to also get a separate purse or bag for money/cards/small items so they are not lost at the bottom of the bag.It has one main compartment, inside which there are the usual slip pockets for mobile phone, pens etc., as well as a zipped pocket if you want to put your purse somewhere extra safe. There is a fair bit of space here so if you are buying relatively small items, you will get a fair amount in here. If you like, Kipling because you like a bag with additional pockets and zipped sections, then this might be the one for you - More over if you are looking for a bag a bit bigger than a handbag to accompany you on a shopping, travel or work then this might just be the one..

This is the best bag I have ever had. And the tidiest. I have a penchant for large bags, which I usually fill with junk. As well as everything I might actually need, my bags often contain large quantities of used tissues, store receipts, notes, etc. Every few weeks I have a clean out, when the bag has turned into a heavy,shoulder-hanging garbage can. This is bad for the posture and doesn't do much for one's overall look. Not so with this Gabbie shoulder bag, which I have in crimson (and am now awaiting a gold version).it has pockets everywhere (no more rummaging in a junk-filled bag for a ringing phone), There's one for glasses (sun and reading in their own cases), one for a large wallet, another for a make-up bag, room for a large tablet in a padded cover, and, since the Gabbie weighs practically nothing on its own, the entire bag-experience is not shoulder breakingly heavy. It looks good, too. As a vegan, I don't use leather in any form and am not fond of faux leather, which tends to look cheap. This does not pretend to be anything other than what it is and I love it.

Another great Kipling bag. I bought this bag to take on holiday and used it every day. Just loved it. It is what I would call a medium sized bag. `the lining is soft grey with a white v shape design. The metalwork is burnished brass and the zips are black. There is a flat shiny swing money. There are 3 zipped compartments. The first compartment I used to keep boarding card, travel pass etc in - things that I wanted to be easily accessible. The second compartment is deceivingly large. I kept my reading glasses and sunglasses in there along with a paperback book. The main compartment has 2 pockets on one side as well as a pen holder. There is large internal zipped area on the other side (perfect for passport). There is also a long strap with a clip at one end - I attached my purse onto the clip which makes you feel extra safe hen moving about in large crowds. There are also 2 useful pockets on the side of the bag - useful for keeping mints, tissues, hair ties etc.I have no hesitation in recommending this product and please feel free to ask any questions. If you love a large bag then you cant go wrong with the Kipling Gabbie. Its on a par size wise with the Defea with the zipped pockets placed slightly differently but loads of organization throughout. The Gabbie does not have grab handles though unlike the Defea. It holds loads and mine carries a large Uzario purse, a XL creativity pouch purse which are so handy to have that you can keep all your bits in one place rather than distributed in every nook and cranny of the bag. I have a small brolly, A5 size diary,a Kindle,a notebook and pen, make up bag,a large pashmina shawl, bottle of water, magazine, gloves, phone, the front pockets are just the job to keep those spare carrier/fold up shopping bags in.There is loads of room to spare. Mine is the lovely colour of Dazz BP espresso brown, a rich dark chocolate brown which makes the bag look more classy I think. Its a great size without being overly bulky.I purchased this at a vastly reduced price and would love another in a different colour. I can highly recommend this Gabbie bag to anyone who loves a large bag.

I needed something larger than my Kipling Syro and the dimensions in the product detail were larger than the Syro so I ordered it. When it arrived it was even better than I expected as I can fit everything I needed to in and there is still room! So much so that I found I could even take my box of Kleenex tissues with me to work when I had a cold! My personal sized zipped Holborn Filofax fits easily in the larger outer pocket (the main reason I needed a slightly larger bag as that did not fit in the Syro!) and my make up bag, phone charger, asthma inhalers and purse all fit inside the main compartment easily. There are 2 side zipped outer compartments as well and you could put keys or whatever in them, although there is a key loop thing inside the main compartment.Would definitely reccommend this bag and I can see me getting it in other colours! Mine is Flash blue and although the pictures on here look really bright blue its not quite so in your face! It even looks more navy when I'm in my bedroom with the light on, but it's more royal blue in reality.

This Kipling bag is probably my 9th or 10th and as usual is exactly what I wanted. I tend to carry a lot of stuff around including iPad, iPod iPhone, purse, lip gloss, glasses case e.t.c you name it., which the pockets are perfect for. I was initially sceptical about the colour (Grey Night) but when it arrived I instantly loved it, it was definitely me! I use mine as a handbag to work and a colleague commented it was a lovely colour and I agree. This bag is a perfect size for my wants not to big or too small and I can get my iPad Air into the larger side pocket easily. The pockets on the ends are an added bonus, you can put anything you like in those.I heard someone say they would get confused by the number of pockets as they would loose track of where they keep stuff but if you are organised you'll love it, I do.I especially like that you can wash these bags and they come out looking new again.Would I recommend? a definite yes would I buy again? of course!

I have been looking for the perfect flight bag for years (and have bought many which have been discarded) but I will look no longer. This is it. It is big enough to hold all I will need for a medium haul flight yet still doesn't look big or bulky. I like pockets with zips because when travelling you can never be too careful and this bag has that. Also plenty of room for anything you may buy in-flight and weighs only what you put in it. I like to wear my bags over the shoulder but also want the option to go cross body if it gets heavy or I need my hands free. Once again this bag can do that. I have also started using this as a everyday bag and it's perfect for that too. Even when I haven't got a lot in it,it still looks good. Finally, the snake print is much better than the ordinary basic Kipling. It gives it a little edge which just lifts it up a notch and I think all their bags should now have the dotty lining - much better. All in all a very happy granny.

My first Kipling bag!!! This bag is so practical and looks great as well. The colour 'brick' is unusual but at the same time goes with most colours you may be wearing. I can get all the things that I need to carry around with me every day. It is spacious without being large and always gets noticed. In fact, I showed it to two good friends who noticed it immediately and my hairdresser because she asked me about it a few times. She wasn't sure if she should buy a Kipling bag (of course the choices are so many, what with all the colours and styles, it is hard to make a decision anyway). Both my friends and hairdresser are now either going to buy a Kipling bag for themselves and have decided that this would be a gift they would love to receive.I will definitely be buying other Kipling bags and have just to make a decision on colour and style!I would recommend this bag to anyone who needs a bag that is roomy, practical and perfect for daily use.

This is my second Gabbie and obviously, it just plain works for me. The storage capability is beyond awesome. I travel a lot, so safety and accessibility of documents is of prime importance and this fits the bill. My Kindle fits in the front zip compartment and the tickets and passport are safely ensconced in the other one. My American and British phones fit into the end pockets and are easily accessible. Also, you can put the world into the bag itself and not look like you are carrying a small suitcase!I love carrying the Gabbie for everyday as well. Always gets me compliments.NOW, ladies. I already own a beautiful Black Snake Gabbie, but I wanted something totally different and opted for the Sunflower one and was a bit worried.WOW! Some gorgeous colour! I am so pleased and happy that I took a chance on it. Not harsh yellow, but a beautiful and mellow colour that suits the Gabbie to a tee! Seriously, you cannot go wrong with this bag!

In the past I've always bought "cheap" bags. However I'm starting to realise that, as with most things, you get what you pay for. So I thought I'd invest in a quality bag - something I could use for work and home, in particular to carry a DSLR camera around in on a daily basis. I picked up the Kipling Gabbie bag on a lightening deal and am really happy with it for the price I paid. It's got plenty of room - I carry a DSLR and second lens around constantly, along with a couple of other camera bits, purse and a couple of tote bags for shopping in the main part. The second part I then keep my Filofax and the smallest part any little odds and ends.I didn't realise when I purchased that each style of Kipling bag has a different monkey key ring on - a kind of cute, quirky accessory I guess, the kids love playing with it! Overall very happy with the bag and already considering what other styles I might "need"!!

I bought this a while ago as a daily deal. I finally used it this week for commuting to work by train. It is great for the following reasons:1. You can keep your travel card/ work pass in the zipped slot pocket at the front of the bag.2. I can keep my kindle in the zipped from pouch pocket on the front of the bag.3. I have to admit, I carried my scarf, gloves and earmuffs in the main body of the bag. I added my lunch to this along with a cake loaf I picked up on the way. There was still plenty of roombecause the bottom of the bag is quite wide!4. My fulton umbrella fits easily in the bag without poking out - it is a big small umbrella if that makes sense, not a super mini one.5.I haven't even used the side zipped pockets! There are the usual pen/ phone pockets inside along with the keychain!6. The shoulder strap is quite wide so super comfortable.7. This bag doesn't look bulky!

I love Kipling bags and have very many. I like cross body bags with long straps and without grab handles (which I find just get in the way and do nothing for the look of the bag). I like ALL the zips to be sewn in. I like all the exterior pockets to be zipped (no velcro or just open). I like a good choice of colours. I like a bag big enough to take EVERYTHING and still have room to take small impulse purchases. I like a zipped side pocket inside the main compartment of the bag with drop down pockets for pens, mobile phone, etc., and the bag must have a key fob. The Gabbie does it all. I chose the Blossom colour and it is a really cheerful, vivid orange (I've never seen blossom this colour). The bag is big, but not bulky. If you're looking for something dainty, then this is not for you, but, if you're looking for a real work-horse of a bag, choose the Gabbie.
