I bought this as my (then) fourteen month old daughter was getting frustrated in her pram and wanted to walk about, and the reins I had were attached to her high-chair. A friend had a Littlelife rucksack for her toddler and it seemed really good so I decided to give one a go. Now, it goes with us everywhere! The cute designs of these bags actually disguise how clever they are! They have comfy padded shoulder straps when also fasten around the chest meaning your toddler can't slip out of them. The reins attach to the bag at the top and back, so if you little one falls over you can prevent too-bad a spill. The rein itself is a single line, rather than double attached to each shoulder as some are, with a loop at the top you can hold or put your wrist through if you're also pushing a pushchair. They can easily be detached and popped into the rucksack. The bag itself has about enough room for a beaker, some snacks and a small cuddly. You wouldn't want your toddler carrying much more, but I think it's really nice for them to feel all grown up walking along carrying their own stuff. There is also a little tag for you to write your contact details if the bag gets lost in the main compartment, and a themed rain hood in its own little pocket!I can't really find fault with this item, today I was walking along with my (now) sixteen month old wearing this and she just looked so cute! everyone we passed had a smile for her, but more importantly she was safe and enjoying a little freedom! These bags come in a range of styles for girls, boys and unisex. Also they're not all cute themed if that's not your style.

Absolutely love this! More fun and less authoritarian than plain wrist or chest reins, my little one actually likes wearing it! This is a bonus on top of being able to walk safely with my little 1 year old without worrying about them dashing in front of cars, other people, getting lost etc.The bag is large enough to hold a couple of essentials, such as a bag of snacks, some tissues, maybe a book or small toy - my little one is obsessed with putting things in bags and boxes at the moment so adds to the fun we have with this. The harness is attached to the top of the bag (the bag fastens around the chest, in addition to the shoulder straps) and has a pivoting joint, which helps stop the rein from getting too twisted.the wrist loop (for the adult) is slightly padded and therefore a bit more comfortable. The reins and backpack are sturdy; there has been no ripping, rearing or other damage to it when the little one has tried to make a run for it or fallen over.I notice that some reviews seem to have received counterfeit type bags, however the one I received (I ordered the black and yellow bee daysack) was a genuine Littlelife bag - good quality and sturdy. I compared it to one on the high street and it was identical.

While there is a limit to the gear that can fit inside a bag this size (as it fits squarely onto the back of a 2 year old), it should be remembered that the stuff a 2 year old needs to carry round with them is also similarly scaled down. My neice is thrilled as her gloves/sweater/juice are now her responsibility, and I'm thrilled (because they're now her responsibility). What makes these packs exceptional is the build quality. I have seen adult, military issue kit that is not stitched together as well or as securely as this toddler pack. It is that strong that not only can the toddler carry everything they want to carry in the pack, but that the toddler can be carried by the pack without their feet touching the floor when you're in a bit of a rush.Together with the equally strong leash, this means that the toddler can now accompany you on adventures that previously were beyond their capability. If I have a complaint, it's that the equally well made rainhood (which is great when it showers, as it can just be put up) has cartoon eyes painted on it. This is a very adult complaint about it being uber-cute, my neice thinks the eyes are the best thing since sliced bread and tends to have the hood up all the time.

I have to say I highly reccomend this bag, before I purchased it I read a few reviews where people said they were not happy with it as it was too small.Personally I bought this for the very reason of SAFTEY for my son who is two, he has a wandering nature and has disappeared one too many times.Just turning away from him to do up my daughters jacket would result in him running away and a lot of tears and worry , thank God we have been lucky to find him. however, I could not take any more chances so the Turtle Day Sack has been amazing. It is nice and compact so your child can run around and it does not bother them or weigh them down.I can fit 2/3 nappies and a pack of wipes a toy car and some raisins. If you are looking for a big backpack too fit a big jumper and a lunch bag this is not it.The whole point of this bag i would say is as a saftey line. The quality of manufacturing and of the material is fantastic and the lead is really strong it has a soft handle to grip and it is big enough to put on your wrist if you needed to use both hands and keep lil one safe by your side ( say for example do up your daughters jacket)So overall a very happy costomer and highly reccomend this bag

I got the backpack for my wee girl who's 20 months old and she loves it! 'Bees' was one word she found the easiest to say when she started talking so she loves bees, making this the ideal backpack to get for her.The quality is top notch - it's well made and feels very durable. The fabric is really nice and the size is ideal for most toddlers. There's also plenty of space inside for essentials (in our case that's Monkey, Iggle Piggle, Jemima Puddleduck and a banana!) The straps fit snugly, and are comfortable for her and easily adjustable for us.Being quite a free spirit, my wee girl likes to go off on her own all over the place, so having the rein-like strap that attaches to a clip on the back is a real bonus. It gives us a bit of control over her in busy places but doesn't limit her movement completely so she has at least a sense of freedom.I'd recommend this to anyone with a toddler who needs a bag that they want to wear (my daughter won't go out without it now) and that gives parents a bit more control over their kid's randomness in busy places.

I bought this bag for my 2 year old son to go to nursery, i wanted something fun to encourage him and make him feel a bit special about going to "school" and i don't like all the disney/tv character thingy, wanted something a bit unusual and funny. My son love his bag, he takes it everywhere we go, whether he needs it or not, he loves the funny animal hood that comes with it. The bag IS small but then it has to be, you can put a couple spare nappies, a bag of wipes, a snack and a little comforty rag/doudou in it.I wasn't thrilled about the idea of a "leash" at first, thought it was too weird, but i gotta say it's brilliant,my son feels free of his movements yet i got a safe hold of him.I'd also like to mention that i bought it from a seller recommended by amazon and i'm so happy i did, the item arrived days before the planned date, despite it being over the Xmas bank holidays.I would totally recommend this bag.

Exceptionally useful rucksack for toddlers who are on the move. The rein is strong, allowing you to safely guide your inquisitive little explorer away from roads and other potential threats, without having to tear your (or their) arm out of the socket in the process. The zip pocket is great for storing their drink/snack in for after a long stroll. The only issue (if you can call it that) is that the shoulder straps appear to sit rather high. If you release them then you lose some of the control of the harness (and are more likely to give your little one whiplash) if you have to stop them/catch them from falling. I’ve found having a thick coat on the little explorer reduces the apparent uncomfyness of the rucksack sitting high. The overall design is very cool.If I weren’t an adult I’d have one of these (without the rein of course).

We decided that we would need to get some reins for my 2 year old little girl as she loves to run around and we wanted to keep her safe. I was a bit unsure of which product to purchase as there are soooo many. I finally decided on the littlelife as they had great ratings.I am sooo glad I did as she loves wearing the backpack! The clip around strap at the front makes this product very comfortable and stable. She loves the bumble bee rain hat. We found it difficult at first to take it off when we approached the car!I would recommend this product and manufacturer to anyone that has children and the quality is very impressive. The only warning I have is that if you intend on purchasing the butterflyversion it does not have an integrated hat and I must tell you my daughter loves her hat so glad we decided on purchasing the bee!

I bought two of these rucksacks for my twins - the bee for my little boy and the ladybird for my little girl. They are 18 months of age and they are getting really independent. It is a nightmare for me to get one out of the car and then have to leave them to get the other one out. It can't be done if there is traffic around, so I used to have to leave one in the car while I took the other child into a building on their own and leave them there to collect the other one. Now I can slip their little life rucksacks on, slip the ring over my wrist and have my hands free to get the other twin out in safety. They are a fantastic help to me. The bags are big enough to carry a nappy, some wipes and a drink,so that means that I don't have to carry everything around with me. They also seem to be very well made.

This is a must have item for toddlers who do not stay in one place or walk calmly holding hands. Without having some kind of reigns I wouldn't be able to let my little boy come out of the pushchair and walk, because nearby to roads it would just be too dangerous. He was not keen on the wrist strap reigns but does not seem to mind this too much, and gives me so much peace of mine to know that he can not just run off. Especially if you have another baby with you and can't just be running off after an escaping toddler every 2 minutes, this will be really helpful. The backpack aspect is cute, it looks much more appealing than plain traditional reigns so I think worth the extra money for that.Good quality, well made and hard wearing ours still looks as good as new despite having a fair amount of use.

I read many reviews about this product before purchasing and was expecting it to be smaller than I had imagined, even after using a tape measure, because some people had apparently been disappointed. I, however did not find this to be the case. The quality, as others have mentioned, is exceptional, the rein is very sturdy (yes the handle/loop is much bigger than my wrist, but it is strong and easy to slip on if in a hurry) and there is plenty of room to put a few basics in, whether that be food, toys and/or personal care items. Obviously no-one would want to put too much in anyway, bearing in mind who will be carrying it! In summary, I am very happy with my purchase and the cost, although pricier than bags for older children, is reflected in the quality, novelty and usefulness of the bag.

I love the cuteness of this product as well as my daughter, these bags also come with little rain hats attached. Its well made and sturdy. Its very comfortable to wear as it is cushioned and my daughter enjoys wearing it, so its no problem getting it on or off as its very simple and easy to do.On the negative side the compartment is very small so you cant carry much i tend to either put in it a couple of nappies, and wipes or snacks. Also the bee seems to be very popular and quite hard to get hold off and is pretty expensive for what you are getting and there are much better buys out there. But im a fan of little life for their quality and uniqueness of their products,so to me this is worth the money.

I bought this for my 18 month daughter for our trip to Makkah (Mecca) as she cant stay still for second. I needed to keep her close at all times among 2 million people! At first she was a little uncomfortable but soon got used to having the backpack on and then loved it! The harness fits well and the lead and handle work well + are comfortable to hold. For our trip this was winner.would have given it 5 stars if it had an adjustable handle so you can strap it round your wrist rather than holding it with your fingers. Most of the time this was fine but there were occasions where I needed both hands and this ability would have helped.Overall: I would buy it again and recommend it.

We were bought this backpack for my daughter when she was 2 and we still use it now she is 4. It is the perfect little bag and reins without being as restrictive or small as conventional reins. I have recommended it many times to friends for their children, perfect for pre-schoolers to keep them save but give them some freedom too. The bag is nicely made and small enough for a toddler to have on their back without overwhelming them. The ladybird (and other) designs are very cute and appealing to both children and adults. The rain hood with matching animal motif is a nice feature. What a lovely, clever design. I wish they had been around when my older daughter was little.

I cannot stress how much I love this bag. My 2 year old is a world class sprinter, and getting him to even walk in the same direction as me was seriously trying my patience. We had lots of public meltdowns because I simply didn't feel safe enough giving him the independence he wanted. When wearing his 'Nemo' he doesn't feel 'tethered' like with some other reins and can walk at a safe distance without having to hold my hand all the time. The bag is just the right size for a spare pair of trousers, pants and a pack of wipes too so I don't have to carry a separate change bag for him. Love it! My anxiety levels are almost back to normal again ;-)
