So. We took these packs kayaking because we didn't bring a daypack so we filled our kids' packs with water and used these. Well, we all fell out. I thought our keys and wallet were goners, and we would be stuck 2 hours from home while we waited for new keys because our old ones were at the bottom of the Snake River. But, these guys floated like champs, probably because of the water bladders inside, and some kind people rescued us from ourselves. The packs dried out within an hour, they are perfect for my 6 and 7 year old, they can carry snacks and water in them. I would 100% buy these again, but I don't think I will have to as we will buy bigger Osprey packs as my kids grow and pass these on to my 2 and 4 year old.

I bought this bag as a bugout bag for my son (who is 8 years old) that will double as a camping bag. You never know, folks.This bag is well-made and he absolutely loves it. I originally bought the teal version, but cancelled it when I realized that this bag would be better for less visibility if we were really tromping around in some dystopian future. Obviously, for normal camping purposes, you want high visibility, so I will be sticking an orange hat on my little guy. But the bag is great and I expect it will hold up like my two adult sized Osprey bags, which I've had for almost a decade.

I've had an Osprey Men's Technical Backpack for a few years and a Hydration Pack for my Wife. We love Osprey gear and find it to be high quality with great design. They are so comfortable and a lot of thought has been put into making them lightweight and airy. They breath with great airflow to keep you comfortable without sweat zones. The layout and pockets are also well conceived. Just the right amount and the right sizes too. This Jet 18 is really just a smaller version of the adult sizes. Great design and great quality. A good value.

Great pack my 5 year old daughter loves it, her first real hiking pack, Osprey is a great company and they offer a lifetime guarantee. Lots of room nice outside pockets bucket loading is nice! Hopefully she doesn't out grow it collecting gear iin the next 2 or 3 years, her next pack will be an Osprey as well. It has the same MSRP as the Osprey website too.

My first impression, is this pack seems to be well constructed , seams are stitched well, while the main bag material appears to be durable , the outer pocket material seems like it may not wear well if it gets snagged on brush or rocks time will be the true judge of that. One other nice feature is it has a built in whistle in the chest buckle

Very cute and comfortable day pack! Little big for younger ones - honestly it would work for a smaller female as a day pack!! I plan to use it and order smaller ones for the kiddos. There’s a ton of space. Osprey is a great hiking brand. It’s my trusted brand and I’ve backpacked Spain, the UK and Europe with these packs and they are AWESOME!

Our smaller six year old was able to carry ALL of her own stuff for a week long trip except her second pair of shoes. This included her winter coat in her pack. It was comfy and the clips and hip straps helped even out the load for her. She was a big fan.

Went on a four day 40+ mile backpacking trip. Our daughter wore this and carried her clothes, sleeping bag, and mess kit. She did incredible at only seven years old with the comfortable fit and sizing.

I spent hours reading reviews and searching for an affordable hiking backpack for our 5 year old. It fits her perfectly. Great quality and a good visible color.

More expensive than many offered, but it solid and rugged. Fits a kid well. Good hiking and outdoor pack
