While hiking throughout Maui, this backpack went with me everywhere. In order to organize my items, I appreciated the three front zippered compartments. The front panel compartment is small and perfect for things like keys or lip balm. The second compartment is small to medium-sized and was perfect to keep my iphone 8+ and items that fit well into the interior pockets like tissues. The main compartment has a sleeve for my laptop (15" MacBook Pro) and a sleeve for an ipad or for documents that needed to remain flat. Additionally, the main compartment held my 1 liter water bottle, sunscreen and meal for the day. Moreover, the two zippered side pouches offered more storage compartments,but unfortunately couldn't accommodate my tall sunscreen bottle nor my extra 9-inch half liter water bottle. Thus, I had to pack it in the main compartment which took up space. Here's what I wish it had: an outside compartment for my heavy 1 liter water bottle. Every time I wanted a drink of water, I had to stop and retrieve my water bottle out of the main compartment and then take the time to put it back in an orderly fashion so as not to crush the other items in the pack. Perhaps I could have attached a carabiner to the water bottle and secured it with the shockcords, but I didn't take the time.As for the bright blue color, I initially didn't know what to make of it, then later decided it was useful for finding my body in case I fell into a ravine. Other things I liked about the pack were the waist and chest straps as well as the quality of the zippers. Although I didn't use the blinker light attachment for this trip, I felt secure knowing I had one in case I got caught in the dark.

I adore the cheerful bright blue colorway and lime green lining and exterior.Osprey brand is out of Santa Cruz, California, and is known for its practical backpacks and unparalleled guarantee. Osprey makes a lot of higher end backpacks for serious packers and campers, so you know they've put plenty of thought into this design. This smaller daypack is loaded with thoughtful features -- three zippered compartment from the top,two zippered side compartments, plenty of exterior loops for attaching a blinker light or whatever, a bungee attachment on the exterior for stowing a jacket or sweater. The zippers have rubber pulls that are super easy to grab and pull. The spacious main compartment has two padded sleeves and a large open area. The middle compartment has three mesh inserts and a loop for attaching keys. The smaller front compartment is lined with a waterproof fabric. The bag has padded straps, a band that can be buckled around your waist or tucked away, and a sturdy top handle for an easy grab and go. Size fully packed is 17.7H X 11.0W X 9.4D IN.. The pack weighs 1.4 pounds.One of the amazing selling points of an Osprey bag is the Osprey All Might Guarantee: Osprey will repair any damage or defect in your backpack, free of charge, "whether it was purchased in 1974 or yesterday." Beautiful bag, great size for day trek or even perfect for an overnight bag. Really lightweight, incredibly comfortable and very robust.Love the aubergine colour however it is brighter coloured than my other Osprey backpack which is a 'Sirrus 34' (also in aubergine but the 'Sirrus 34' is darker and slightly more practical shade of deep purple). However the Axis is still a good looking bag with lots of really nice features, the comfy straps, the built in whistle on clips, the inside organiser pockets and the side pockets being perfect size for drinks bottle etc. It's a very practical and well thought out backpack.Really can't fault it to be honest.Only suggestion would be to add a built in rain cover like the other backpacks have but the Axis for whatever reason doesn't and it's a shame. However I love Osprey bags, the quality is just there. I still use my Sirrus 34 and it's still going strong as a camping and longer trip bag but the Axis will make a great daypack for shorter hikes or days out with the kids. Very happy with my purchase and it arrived the next day. All round good backpack and super fast delivery.

I particularly like the bungee cord design for this backpack. I think it's functional and looks good. Some people may not care for the front loop, but I like it for a more secure fit. There are plenty of loops and pockets and mesh, so you get a lot of flexibility with the compartments. The shoulder straps are well padded. There's a padded space for a tablet or laptop. The top grab handle is very convenient. Everything about the construction of the pack seems to be good quality. I'm expecting this backpack to last a long time.

I bought an Osprey Daylite Plus day pack thinking it would be sufficient for my travels but decided it was a bit too small, so I went for this one instead. It has easily reached my highest expectations.Loads of space, plenty of neat pockets, room for my laptop and a hydration bladder. Very well made. Just remains to see how it stands up to long haul flights and treks across desserts, mountains etc. I preferred the blue of the Daylite bag, but this one is still a pleasant colour & matches my waterproofs better!

I have been in the market for a new backpack for quite some time. As a fan of the Seattle Seahawks, this bag initially caught my eye because of the colors. Once I received the bag, I was pleased to find out how functional and high quality it is as well. I have been using it as a personal item on several flights and have been very pleased with its performance. I would highly recommend this product and brand to anyone in the market for a new backpack.

I'm not really into writing reviews unless I am very impressed. I have been looking for a new bag for my travels for a while. I knew what I wanted, and searched and searched until I found my perfect travel bag. It's got all the pockets and pouches I wanted, plus a few more. I have just been away to London, Croatia and Bosnia for a week and the bag performed perfectly. Very happy.

I use this for my day to day bag. Holds my 13" MacBook in a sleeve perfectly, just the right size for daily school/work. Love the organization, a place for everything. Relatively lightweight and strong material. Between this and the competition, north face borealis, I still prefer the borealis for its heavier materials and more padded straps. Great bag!

Love this backpack! Color is gorgeous (I got the magenta/purple), it's comfortable, holds everything I need it to, and has convenient pocket sizes and styles. The only thing I don't like is that the fabric holding the key clip to the inside of the front pocket is bright red, which looks awful next to the magenta.

This is a great choice for a daypack or electronics backpack. The blue color is really nice and the darker accents match really well. The straps are sewn on well, the material is nice, the insides have all the right parts/compartments. They are going to sell a lot of these.

Bought this to use as a daypack whilst travelling and extremely happy with the purchase. The bag holds a good amount both in the main compartment and in the smaller pockets as well as being very strong whilst also being comfortable to wear. Would highly recommend buying

The perfect pack for day trips or overnight hiking trips. It has the typical Osprey quality built into it. It is of rugged high quality materials and construction. It is comfortable when wearing for short or long periods and has pockets on the sides for water bottles.

I recently took this backpack on a trip and it worked great as a day pack. The small pockets on the front are perfect for your phone, wallet or keys and the large pocket has two sleeves for your laptop or tablet. Well made and comfortable.

Great product like most Osprey gear. Only complaint is it's s little limp, so if you don't have a book or laptop inside it tends to fall over. Usually not a problem because it's always got something inside.

It my second daypack from Osprey. Got it for my wife as an everyday bag for work and studies. She is very happy with it's functionality, comfort and vibrant colors.
