I’ve used an Osprey pack for years and am a big fan. I’m having an issue with this one that I bought for my son. The pictured part that connects to the shoulder strap has ridden up the the top of the metal pack adjustment (rather than staying on the side). This is causing the pack to ride a little crooked and the metal to dig into his back. I’ve tried to contact Osprey directly with no response. Disappointing.Update: I was later contacted by Osprey. They suggested a fix which seems to be working (remove & reinstall). Changed 1 star to 4 ?

I got this for my 11 year old Scout son and its perfect for his weekend camping trips. He doesn't go on long hikes with it, but for short hikes, whether through the woods on a trail to a campsite or just through the camp from the parking lot to a cabin, it works well. It's big enough to contain everything he needs for a weekend away. It's 2020 so no weeklong summer camp, but I think it would work for that as well.

This is a full function, stable, padded, real pack -- just scaled down (smaller than a women's small) for a kid size. But it's for a narrow kid range, like in the 10 year old size (depending on the kid). Young elementary school would be swamped by it, and it's too small for high school.

The best bag, waterproof, very easy to carry. Quality item,water tank pocket and more small pockets, so makes life easy.
