This is a versatile laptop backpack that has a sleeve to hold up to a 15 inch computer, any thickness. The sleeve has a very hard backing behind it to help protect it and there's a mini sleeve in front of it to put some papers but it can expand to hold a power supply if needed. There are several zippered compartments on the front of the bag but the main one has a really nice thick zipper that's easy to use. The smaller compartments have normal sized zippers but have finger pulls so they are easy to access without looking or in the dark if needed. One great feature of this backpack is its ability to compress to a relatively flat thickness. If you just have a computer and thin paperwork, the backpack is not very thick at all. Add in a sweatshirt/gym clothes, or some computer accessories like a mouse and headset and it easily expands as needed. The compression straps at the top can unclip to open the main compartment wide and a lot of thought was put into the design to make it useful for different situations. There are hidden side pockets intended for water bottles but you can put anything in there. There's a an expandable material so they aren't noticeable when empty but expand to hold 1 liter bottles easily. The small upper compartment has a key hook and separate pouches with elastic to hold small items and it's easy to access even if one strap is still on your shoulder.Besides all the nice convenience features of the backpack, the shoulder straps are very comfortable with a nice amount of padding if you need to wear it for long periods of time. The back has some venting and is hard to protect your computer but reasonable comfortable. I always appreciate the strap clip in the middle as well as the waist, securing the shoulder straps; great for biking or when on a motorcycle. The color is a navy blue and looks nice. All my other backpacks are black and it's nice to have a little color without being too bright and attracting negative attention to what is obviously a very nice bag that probably contains a very nice laptop. Excellent quality and Osprey has an amazing warranty where they will repair any damage or defect for free, forever. If they can't repair it they will send you a new one. Excellent policy and something that makes me want to consider this brand in the future.

This is a lot of pack in a what amounts to a small package. I own about 4 Ospray packs, and use them for things varying from a city man bag, to hiking day bag, backpacking bag, and this. This is actually 4 litres larger than my ospray day pack, but feels much smaller and more compact. The main features are:Padded laptop and separate zippered tablet sleeve (fits up to a 15” laptop)--This is a great and mirrors what you will see in may backpacks/laptop packs. It includes a padded sleeve but also magazine sleeves. Good for keeping things like travel documents and reading material separate from your laptopFront panel organization pocket with key clip--This is a large pocket, and goes all the way down to the bottom of the pack. it has three pockets across the top of the pouch and good for various things, but for a business bag, doesn't have a small zippered pouch, nor does it have a small pockets for pens/pencils. Wish it had that.Hidden side access dual stretch mesh water bottle pockets--Took me a few days to find these, these are well hidden and grant you access to you water bottle from the back area of the pack, instead of feeding right from the top. The stretch mesh fits most standard camelbak type water bottles and holds them excellently. I've lost bottles before, this will hold them like a miser holding on to his last penny.Heat embossed scratch-free slash pocket and blinker light attachment point--Good for things that may scratch, like a pair of glasses, your phone, etc.The whole bag is wonderfully made. Typical of an Ospray bag. Very sturdy with good stitching and with well placed and useful lashing straps. The bag has typical sholder straps that connect across the chest with a whistle and there is also a waist strap.

So I just got this and I will update this review later, but so far it's a nice looking bag. There are three pockets, the small one on the very back, then a full length pocket after that (this goes down to the bottom of the bag). Followed by the larger laptop section. There are only three organizational pockets in the middle compartment. These look like they will hold a phone or passport, or something a little larger. I did notice that it keeps my passport in and quite secure. The larger compartment has one laptop sleeve and a magazine sleeve. Besides that, there is one fully open water bottle holder. It's really nice as it holds the bottle so it won't fall out, no matter how you are holding the bag.I was able to get a fairly large 24 oz. insulated bottle in it. You might be able to go larger but the pocket is made of thin material which might be an issue. There is another similar water bottle pocket on the other side but its sealed shut in the middle. Not sure what the deal is with this as you can't reach into it to get anything. I suppose you could cut the sewn tab and then have two bottle pockets. The bag isn't going to look as smooth as it does in the photo (unless you stuff it with cotton or something). But it still looks nice. The back is vented with raised ridges. The zippers look well made. The bag sits up a little high, which I like the feel of. It also looks to hold its shape relatively well when you add things. I travel for work about 40% and plan to use it for that. Looks like it should have no issue fitting under the seat. One last thing, the straps that fit over the zipper (compression straps) do tuck away, I don't see much need for them and it's nice not to have to undo them every time you open the bag.

This is a nice backpack. It’s lightweight and the color is very cool. It’s like a blue grey with dark teal straps. It’s not flashy but it’s not boring black either. The 2 bottle holders on the side are very sleek and well done. It’s always annoying when bottles fall out is the side because they are too small - that won’t happen with these. There are 3 pockets. The stash pocket is the only pocket that can be accessed if the compression hooks are used. The compression hooks can be tucked away when they aren’t needed which is nice - I don’t like having a bunch of hooks out catching on things. The stash pocket isn’t huge but it’s a good size - can fit hand in easily and then it’s about 11” across. The 2nd area is deep but isn’t wide.It will hold a jacket or sweater and then has 3 slotted pockets for a phone/ passport/ notebook. Outer 2 pockets are 3.5” and middle pocket is 4” wide. All pockets are about 5.5” deep. The middle compartment also has a red clip. It’s easy to use and I like to use these to attach my keys so they don’t drop to the bottom of bags. The main compartment is pretty big.It has a double sided padded laptop area that measures 10.5” wide.On top of the laptop is a tablet area that is single sided padded that measures 10” wide and up to 13” tall. The tablet area isn’t as deep as the laptop area. This area would also work for documents. The top handle is well padded and sewn. Below that there is a two sided opening for headphone cords or even a plug to charge your laptop/tablet.The main straps are well padded and adjustable. They have a top strap and a lower strap for comfort and security. The zippers are all well quality and have a material flap over the top so it should keep anything inside pretty dry.

This is a good choice of daypack for a student or for casual day hikes and travel. At 28L, it's right at the sweet spot for everyday use for an adult.Organization is adequate, but my only real complaint with the bag. There's a main compartment with laptop protector, a front compartment with three mesh organizers, and a generous top pocket. While this is better than nothing, I'd prefer to see a zippered interior organizer pocket or too, a phone pocket, and pen/penlight holders in the administration area. The two mesh, water bottle pockets conceal nicely when not in use, and can (barely) be stretched to hold a 1L hydroflask. If there's a hydration port, I didn't find it.Fit and finish are solid,as I would expect for an Osprey bag at this price point. The zippers work cleanly, the straps are quite comfortable, and there is generous, mesh padding at the back. In terms of comfort and durability, this is a significant upgrade over a generic Target schoolbag.

I absolutely love this bag. I researched backpacks A LOT. Dakine, Jansport, Herschel, Nike, North Face, etc... all of them have too many frills and look too adolescent for me. I liked the simplicity of the Osprey, and am pleased with the quality of the fabric, zippers, clips, and other hardware.A word to the wise: it is a large bag. It fits me comfortably, but is large. I am 6’2” so if you are under 6 feet, be warned. It might feel very long. That being said, it collapses quite well, and appears much smaller when it isn’t maxed for space. Even when full, it looks trim. I have filled every space and it still didn’t look that much bigger. The Apogee is a truly remarkable bag.It is not a Herscheloid fashion statement, but a statement in its own right.

Ok so why 4 stars ? This backpack was so close to getting 5 stars everything about this pack is solid . But 2 things. 1st the front pocket , why only 1 zipper ? It’s a big pocket needs 2! 2nd needs one more quick access pocket on the front that would make this pack complete for travel. When it’s with me on the plane I want to be able to reach down and have a quick access pocket that I don’t have to reach way down and dig. And just to be really picky osprey if you are reading this side zipper pockets nothing huge about the size to put a wallet and keys in when you sling it on one shoulder pockets like these are so functional! Great bag overall amazing quality !

I love this product and I only feel bad for not buying one before. The material quality is impeccable, the pockets are very handy and the size is exactly what I wanted. The reason why I give it 5 stars is because it molds to my back as if it hugs me.I just had it in a 2 weeks vacation, and after seeing it and trying it, 2 friends will be submitting their orders as well. Also, the way it is built, it distributes the weight perfectly and you don't feel the real weight of the backpack. And did I mention the awesome hidden bottle pocket? And the fact that there are 2 of them, one on each side?It definitely won't be my last Osprey!

For several years I have been using a Columbia Silver Ridge 25L backpack, and I've had no complaints. When the Apogee arrived, I was quick to move all of my gear into the new pack! I am happy to say that everything fits just fine, including a 15 inch HP laptop to boot! The pack fits my large frame just fine, and feels comfortable when hiking around. I really like the water bottle pockets on the sides, and there is an opening for hydration bladder use as well- this wasn't listed in the features. Overall, a well built backpack with good storage options!

I've had it for a few months and so far I really like it. Well made. Great size and shape for an everyday bag. Large enough to carry a change of clothes or some groceries. Sleek look is good for the office. And the water bottle pockets are great. But it really needs one more zippered internal organization compartment. I've been carrying personal items like toiletries in the tablet sleeve, which isn't ideal. Also, the zippers on the main compartment tend to snag, and the middle compartment would be better with two zippers. Overall, great bag though.

I did lots of research for my new commuter rucksack and it's perfect (almost). Great balance of features and accessibility, super comfy and can fit all my stuff and 15'' laptop with ease.A raincover would be ace but sadly not included. The side pockets are great, and nearly invisible. The design means that fitting longer objects in can be a problem such as umbrellas. Brilliant overall, and better value than my previous NF equivalent.

Ok I friggin love this pack! Meets my needs and then some!Simplistic but sleek design, looks badass I really dig the logo too! Just needed an everyday pack for the usual commute to work.Light weight, ergonomically comfortable and anti back sweat check!Laptop sleeve check!Water bottle sleeve check!Several organization sleeves for my manly toiletries check!

Superb backpack from Osprey. I am long term fan of their outdoor backpacks but never their urban commuting ones as they are not the most sleek/fashionable ones until the Apogee came out! Don't fall for any of those expensive hipster-wannabe commuting backpacks out there which are priced twice as much and does not have the lifetime guarantee/durability of Osprey!

I bought this backpack to replace my North Face bag which I have had for 5 years and has been slowly fraying beyond the constant repairs. The Apogee bag is extremely comfortable and can be used for holidays and for work commutes, the laptop section is a good fit for a 14 inch laptop. Overall a very good backpack and great quality as you would expect from Osprey

30.12.2019

Amazing quality as expected. Don't forget to fill out the warranty, just in case. I have used this backpack daily for months, both hauling books and laptop too and from university and lectures, I also use it as an overnight bag when I visit my mother on the weekend. It is incredibly comfortable even when fully packed and I am 6 foot and pretty skinny.
