Henry was up at 5.30 that morning,He made sure he had a fresh dust bag on, and the house was spotless and hooverd to a tee.He stood by the door waiting and sang a little song, it went like this."ive crossed my I's and dotted my T's,Ive hooverd the trees, and banished the flees and kicked out the flies and honey bees"Today was a big day for henry hurricane hoover, for he knew id ordered a hetty Hoover. He had managed to operate my phone somehow and checked on the delivery date."Todays the day" he mumbled as he posted his nozzle through the letter box, "plug me into the magic socket so im ready to impress".Five hours later the delivery man arrived, henry having drifted off to the vast and peaceful ocean of sleep had a rotten awakening as he was pushed aside by the door as i recieved the parcel. His eyes, bleary and sleep soaked, blinked in rapid succession as they fixed upon the item i was holding. "Hang on, what the, is it, she's here?" he stammered as he straightened up his cable and rolled over peeping curiously into the box.My hands reached in and came out with a timid, pink hetty.Henry was transfixed. "Its her" he mumbled reaching up with his nozzle.Recognition seeped into the pink hoovers eyes, lighting them up like fire flies. "Brother" she mumbled reaching down to henry, thier nozzles intertwining and happiness in full flower.Hetty is a great hoover much like henry (or exactly like henry). As ive owned a henry for a couple of years now i think i can safely review his pink counterpart (which was bought for my mother). She has a brilliant suction, sometime even too strong! But thats not a problem as you can turn it down. A super long cable length, so long ive never reached the end of its tether, it could be limitless? Its just a great all round hoover. The only downside is its a heavy beast, as heavy as her brother id even say!Personality wise, henry is full of vigor and will get the job done fast, often looking at a small watch (his christmas present) in order to beat his record.Hetty will meticulously do the job without a care or even sense of time itself, she saunters round changing her attachments frequently. She will do a slower, more thorough clean once a month, where as henry will maintain a level of clean with a fast hoover each week.

I have had Henry's for the last 20 years or so, and my original one is still going strong in the garage, which picks up all sorts of building rubble etc. The quality of them seemed to go downhill after that, each the replacements only lasted just over the 2 year guarantee, and i went through 3 of them. They were only used for general vacuuming in the home, but the hi/lo power switches seemed to fail. I really did not want to buy another, but quite frankly, nothing else touches them as far as i'm concerned. I decided to have one last try, and as the dratted hi/lo switch has now gone, hopefully will have more luck with this one.I love the new compact size, which is just a little easier pull around and store. The simple tool storage is great as I was forever loosing them before. It may be smaller and have a smaller motor, but the power is unbelievable, I can actually see it sucking up and dragging any debris on the floor towards the floor tool before it even goes over it. I have to turn the power down by turning the vent on the handle, where as the old ones were always on the highest power. The floor tool is slightly different, and now has a little wheel which makes it more manoeuvrable on hard floors. I am not sure however, what it would be like on carpets. We have all hard floors apart from one large rug. I do find it a little hard to push on the rug compared to the old tool, although this could be because it has so much more power. If i turn the power down on the handle, it is fine. Overall, I am very pleased and glad I gave it another go. It will remain to be seen how long this one lasts.

Have waited a few weeks before writing this review, so I could make sure I thoroughly tried all attachments, and got a good few weeks use of Hetty first. Bought Hetty to replace a morph richards is only had 6 months that had totally lost suction and was making a noise, ive never thought about a Henry or Hetty before but they were both on sale so read the reviews and they were glowing. Plumped for Hetty as she is slightly smaller, WOW I’m absolutely THRILLED with her, suction is absolutely amazing, there is a tool/attachment for every job you will need 2 of which can be stored on Hetty for easy access, the tubes are nice and long, the hose is nice and long too as is the cable too,she moves around wonderfully, and is nice and quiet too. I have all wood floors with just a few rugs/runners and carpeted stairs but she picks up great on my stairs carpet it is new so still looks good but Hetty will help keep it nice I’m sure. On the rugs and runners it is so powerful it lifts them off the floor so I have the little air vent open which helps. The bumper all the way round is wonderful so it stops her damaging door frames etc. The bag is only slightly full and I use her daily and you get 3 with her. And somehow because of her happy sweet face I look after her more too giving her a wipe over everyday lol. My only regret is I didn’t purchase one years ago, I will never use any other brand again now. If your sat thinking shall I shan’t I, buy her, you won’t be disappointed.

I am getting on in age and live on my own in a small house but I like to try and keep it clean. My old electrolux cylinder gave up after 52 years so I spent some time reviewing new hoovers. I really decided on a Henry but was told that Hetty has more attachments so I plumped for her and boy am I glad I did. My old electrolux obviously hadn't been performing well by all accounts as the carpet in my bedroom, which I thought was brown, is actually green now!!I originally kept Hetty in the airing cupboard but everytime I opened the door I could see her looking at me, I swear I once saw her wink her long lashes at me, so I brought her out and kept her in the kitchen. But she still seemed to look at me with affection and so I now keep her on the sofa with me and we watch the telly together, she especially likes Question Time, apart from when Diane Abbott is on. I do let her her sit at the table when I eat, of course I do not cook a meal for her, but she glady wolfs up all the crumbs I leave. I think Hetty came with an attachment that wasn't in the box and I honestly can't imagine life without her now.

I bought a Hetty as I was concerned that my Henry was getting depressed on his own. He had a Dyson to keep him company but they never really got on as the Dyson had a deep seated jealousy of Henry due to his superior performance. Being a lady, Hetty is a little lighter and more agile than Henry and just lives to clean (like all women). Henry is so much more relaxed now and much more fun to be around since Hetty arrived. Just one small challenge on the horizon; Hetty is now expecting and will therefore be out of action for a few months. I have the headache of negotiating my way through the mine field of maternity pay/leave and will have to add another cupboard to the utility room to make space for the new arrival. They will call the bay James and hopefully we will be able to put him to work straight away (will check hoover child labour laws etc first). The Dyson is furious as he will be covering will Hetty is off work. As for Henry, he is going to be taking part parental leave, so he is planning to catch up on all the episodes of Game of Thrones that he has missed.

My hoover was startng to get a bit slow so decided it was time for a replacement. I usually stick to a particular make but they had nothing that suited, so I had a look around - WOW I’m so glad I did, the Numatic (Henry) range seemed to tick all the boxes, so out of my comfort zone I ordered the Hetty (mainly because it’s pink but it’s also smaller), I tried it as soon as it arrived and was completely shocked, it’s light weight, quiet and works amazing.Even though it’s smaller it has a larger dust capacity than my old machine (which I thought was amazing!).The only downside’s for me - 1. it’s a bagged machine, however, I purchased reusable bags from elsewhere.2.The suction is so amazing it can cause problems on some surfaces I.e it suctions to the floor making it too hard to manoeuvre, some rugs i found it just sticks to and you have no way of hoovering them, again, no problem - I bought an air flow head from elsewhere.I am a domestic cleaner and the best thing I ever did was buy this hoover!I would highly recommend.

What can I say that hasn't already been said - it's one of the world famous Henrys, except this one is a Hetty. This is different to previous ones I've had however - it's smaller for a start but still big enough to not have to empty all that often. It's much more manoeverable - easier to carry and pulls around door frames and the like easier. It's also not as noisy and is unlikely to wake my shift worker neighbours up. I've worked for the same large organisation for the past decade and the cleaners there are still using the same red Henrys as when I started so if you're looking for reliability this is it. One thing that might come in handy as a preventative measure - I've put some electrical tape tightly around the black hose were it fits onto the steel extension. The junction cracked on my last one and the ones where I work are all taped up for the same reason. So this time I've put some on to hopefully add a little strength and prevent it from cracking.

Bought this to replace our Henry who died at the weekend after doing sterling service for over 10 years. Initially was going to get a replacement Henry and I'd always thought Hetty was exactly the same but pink. But this Hetty is new and smaller than Henry. The only downsides to Henry over the years has been the bulk and weight. The kids have used this as an excuse to not do the hoovering! Ha.Differences from the old Henry are the size and weight; the main floor attachment has been redesigned and is more manoeuvrable; the wand can be affixed to the back in an upright position making it less of a problem to store; there are similar places for other attachments; there's no high-low switch butyou don't really need one.Things that have not changed: the suction is still seriously impressive (possibly stronger than old Henry despite having a lower powered motor), the same long cord to allow you to clean the house without have to unplug and re-plug.

Having reluctantly gone from a dyson (used dyson for 20plus years) to the Hetty, I can honestly say I’m really pleased. I’ve left the review a while to see if it really is any good and after 2 months I’m happy to say this: It’s just as manoeuvrable, much lighter to use on stairs and the suction is as good if not better. Comes with similar tools to the dyson. Only major difference is the price, and that it’s bagged but I now don’t have the mucky transparent collecting bin... the bags aren’t over priced so for me, it was a great purchase. Seems to do a better job in my car too.My one and only thing that I dislike is that it doesn’t stow away as neatly as the dyson but I do have space to keep it,but if you’re looking for something to stow away small and compact, the hetty doesn’t do that - for me everything outweighs this. It could do if you remove the pipe and take it apart - easily done.Great product.

Now i'm disabled, I've been struggling to get my old upright up and down the stairs so I changed to a Hetty in the hope of making my life a little easier. Whilst I have gotten myself in a pickle trying to manage the long hose (it seems to have a mind of it's own) i have found i can vaccume right up the stairs without having to move/unplug Hetty at all. To carry up the unit stairs I take off the tubes then reattaching once im upstairs. Being used to a bagless upright also, I was curious how much the bag would take, and even with 3 cats & a dog and a family to pick up from, the bag is still not full after 2 weeks,so I'm well impressed with the amount of debris it picks up with the supplied heaads and bought an additional pet head with the rotating bruch thats also really good. ALl in all, I'm well impressed, and it's quite cute to look at too!

My friends, bless ‘em, realised years ago that vouchers are the best presents for me. So courtesy of my birthday Amazon vouchers I finally bit the bullet and ordered a Hetty. She arrived yesterday as promised and today has had her first outing. OMG she is the bees knees, cats pyjamas etc etc. Why did I wait so long to have her in my life. She’s so lightweight I can carry her up and down stairs easily, I could probably do the stairs with her, and I only need to plug her in once on each level courtesy of her super long lead. She does twice or three times the job my old machines did in half the time, my rugs haven’t looked this good since they were new !!Thank you to all the people who wrote glowing reviews and helped me to make my decision.I am a very happy bunny with old vacs to dispose of and a lot more time to spend on other things ?

After years of disappointments with different cleaners and a lot of research I came up with this as my next vaccuum. It works wonders. I live in small maisonette so went for smaller Hetty and not Henry which is larger with same features. Even with a decrease in power due to EU rules this packs a huge amount of power. Perfect for carpeting or flooring but due to strength of suction keep your feet on mats and sweep in one direction only. Tool stored on board. Myt tip would be to put the 2 small tools not accommodated inside under bag. And for the length of flexi black tubing I arranged 2 entwined velcro tapes around metal pipe to hang that once circled and interlocked. Now everything in one place and stored taking up least amount of room. One tape tightly around tube with another hanging through it to encircle and hang hose.

Bought both the Hetty and Henry together for my home, one for upstairs and one for downstairs, they are both fantastic machines.I love the new smaller size, it is much more nimble than the traditional Hetty HET200 that I have had previously. The tools now store on-board and are always to hand, the floor tool with the wands attached parks on the back of Hetty’s bucket making her simple store.Considering the motor is only 620w it is very powerful Indeed. The machine is relatively lightweight and comes with anvery comprehensive tool kit.Hetty is very well built! It is great to see Numatic are still manufacturing their machines in the UK and I will always support UK workers.Great service from Very as usual.Ordered the day before arrived the next day, what more could one ask for?! ☺️

Many years ago, as a destitute student, I was given a secondhand Henry, he was super reliable but 2 years ago having grown up, bought a house, got married and had a child, I decided to treat myself to a new vacuum. I bought a very expensive cordless which has been less than impressive and last week it failed entirely. So we needed a new vacuum again. I did a bit of looking about and then decided to go back to the Henry family. The small person of the house wanted input this time and opted for Hetty!Hetty arrived on time, came with an impressive array of attachments, a spare bag and was ready to go within minutes of coming out of the box.Brilliant suction. Simple to use. Fantastic cleaning.Hopefully Hetty will be as reliable as Henry was (he is still in use at my husband’s work!)

Was debating between hetty and a very much more expensive brand, decided to buy hetty after reading reviews. Great suction and the tools are handy. Light to carry and compact to store. Very long cable which is great!Theres only 2 things I'm not 100% happy with and that's why I gave a 4 instead of a 5 star rating. 1: the new head with wheels is hard to manoeuvre compared to the flat head of my old Henry. I've ordered an old style head to sort this out.2: I'm 5ft2 and I find it very low, which is hopeless for my bad back. I think this is due to the new head, as it needs to be positioned a certain angle to work properly, I'm hoping once the new head arrives it will be betterAll in all I recommend hetty, great price for a great item that should last many years
