A simple but effective way of being able to expand your home network at a realistic price. At a gigabit, it is fast enough to maintain and cope with most home internet speeds. Simple to use just plug and play. However, you must have your own Cat5 RJ45 patch leads as none are provided. Just patch a lead from one port of the switch directly into your router/modem and the other 4 ports are ready to use for any device you wish to add and to hard wire to your network. It is a simple, basic Ethernet switch that works at a fair price.

I am reasonably familiar with Netgear products. They seem to get smaller and lighter every time. This is a great little switch and hub and allows me to connect my older machines as well as the newest to my 1000Mbps main router. It works exactly as expected. The only niggle I experienced is that this model is intended as "desktop" only and, being so small and light, will not stay put. I managed to make it wall mountable without much difficulty, so am now totally and completely pleased with it in every respect.

I put this in my office connected to a powerline adapter feeding from my router. It splits the data well between my office PCs. Maybe a slight reduction in speed test speeds, but not noticeable, certainly better than the weak wifi. Just plugs in and does its stuff, no setup, no hassle.

Having had the house wired for ethernet, each room only had a single ethernet port in it. These switches mean that all the devices in each room can share that port and that cabling in the most efficient way right to a port on the ADSL hub. Workes perfectly.

Small and completely unmanaged. Once you've connected up all your cables to it you don't need to tend to the switch again. 1Gb traffic (113MB + overhead) has been working well throughout the two-floor house, between networked computers without any issues.

We have switched internet provider (now tv to sky) they only have 2 ports so I got this so we can plug in my bf PS4 and my tv in as well it's all good my bf says it runs smoothly. Fab product.

I bought this to replace an old 5 port Netgear switch (100Megabit) which had a couple of faulty ports. The new switch went into place worked immediately and at a Gigabit as well - bonus!

I found this product to be, very reliable, does not appear to slow anything down, I'm running 3 systems of it, and its ok. I have purchased 2 of these, and they both WORK.

An excellent product delivered swiftly. It is a compact little unit and has allowed me to expand my network to four more devices. Great!

Plug and Play and let it get on with its job, what more can you say, was cheaper than the pro versions and seems to work fine.

Small footprint, so unobtrusive and has given me the extra ports I needed as my Sky Q modem only had 2 ports.
