Phenomenal product! Works way beyond my expectations!!!I bought two of them to work as a repeaters for a very long run of cable (150m) across my building site from the public fibre connection to my mobile home here in Western Ireland so I wanted cheap and cheerful rather than wasting the costs on a fibre link as it is only temporary until my house is built. Before I split the cable to go crimping I just tried them end to end to see how they worked... to my astonishment they worked brilliantly with ZERO packet loss! I was using similar brand switches (but I won't mention the manufacturer as I don't want to defame any other product as the distance to be fair is beyond the max Ethernet length)and it had severe packet loss, but now I am able to keep my long cable length without cutting it mid section to install a switch as a repeater and work away without having to fork out hundreds of Euro on fibre optic cable that I might only use for a few months more. The device is really nice too and very tiny, has no annoying fan and literally works away without any fuss! The Ireland and UK power plug is nice and neat too unlike the horrible brick of thing with the previous product I was using. I'm laying blocks on my house that are smaller than that last power supply plug I was using :) The D-Link one is just slightly larger than an Apple iPhone charger so very handy if you want to install it in an IP66 enclosure for example where space is tight. So whatever your need for a quick and handy switch/hub this is your toy! I don't normally give such reviews but I am so amazed by the product I think it is only fair! And for such a tiny price too! As I say I thought it would be basic and just get me out of a problem... I had no idea it would be this good.

Purchased to extend the number of outlets near the TV. I needed 1 for the TV, 1 for the PS4, 1 for my Amp, and 1 for my Bluray Player. This being a 5 port, lets me do all that. You plug the "live" LAN cable in, and plug your 4 others in that you want the connection shared with and just power up and you are good to go. Really simple to set up with no other installing required and no other IT knowledge needed. Works brilliantly.

OK so I have now had this for a fair few months now and hasn't faulted once. I'm running it 10m from the router using a cat 5 lead and works faultlessly. Handy if you want all your consoles and pc hardwired but your router is too far from them. Also handy if you want upstairs hardwired, you can simply route a single cat5 or 6 upstairs and then connect this up and your all set to hardwire your electronics

Does exactly what it says on the tin!Tiny device, very easy to hide. Plug it into the mains and plug the network cables in here and there are no issues whatsoever. All devices connected have strong connection to the main router with speed tests showing no drop in speed at all.Very pleased with this product. Have been using it for a few weeks now and still not had one issue.

I needed a 5-port router to support Ethernet connections to a TV, PS3, AppleTV, and Sony PlayStation TV box from 1 Ethernet socket.Set up was really easy. Unbox, connect Ethernet cables, connect PSU.It is a tiny box compared to two other switches (5-port and 8-port) I have. The status lights offer reassurance that there's traffic and that the switch is on.It works

I bought this as I ran out of ports on my router. It does what it is supposed to.I bought a USB to DC cable to power this via my router instead of using the mains adaptor, as I did not have a sparesocket near enough for it.Think it would be good if the USB to DC cable came supplied instead of the mains cable.Apart from that, I would recommend this item.

Can't say much about it really....does exactly what it is supposed to do. Plug it in to the mains, plug in the ethernet cables, et voila ! Works well in conjunction with their powerline products, n ojudder on video tranmission. Can't go wrong with D-Link - ship worldwide more Ethernet ports than any other company except Cisco. Decent quality.

So easy to use! Needed to split one Tenda GigaBit Powerline Adapter LAN connection between two Laptops.Unit has 5 RJ45 sockets.Plug the my Cat6 cable from the Powerline adapter into any of the 5 RJ45 switch sockets.Plug the 2 cables from the 2 Laptops into any of the remaining 4 switch sockets. That's it. RTG. Works fabulously well.

Works exactly as intended and my speeds are unaffected (my ping actually dropped slightly as I was using a 10/100 router as a switch prior).Ridiculously easy to set up.Orange flashing lights for 10/100 and green for gigabit for easy troubleshooting and connection testing.Just remember that it is 5 ports TOTAL, so 1 in and 4 out.

This is super tiny and on first use I have noticed just how light it is too. It is made well for such a small plastic ethernet switch, but being that this is for a desktop (no bracket mounts or rubber feet) the unit moves very easily which can be annoying with stiff cables attached ... just something to be aware of.

Bought this to sit behind my Mac up in the office. Plugged in and working in less than five minutes.Great switch, I like the fact that is powers down the ports not in use to save electric. It's a lot smaller than I expected, which is not a problem! This is a great gigabit switch for a home network.

Great price for a very capable switch. Good that it shows Gb data with a green light and an orange light for 10/100 Mb. I managed to identify a fault with an incorrectly terminated patch lead as it showed up straight away. Very small footprint. Looks neat and unassuming on the desk, very pleased.

I needed to extend the Ethernet ports on my virgin media router, after a bit of research this one appeared to be highly recommended and it has certainly delivered on that promise. It was easy to setup -simply plug in! And I was pleasantly surprised at how small it was!Highly recommended

Got this working on my server network with no problems at all. No need for reconfigerring or anything like that. Solid bit of merchandise. Can be screwed to the wall too, if you like things neat and tidy. The device is very small which is nice. Don't think you'll get better.

As title, bought in 2015, its been om 24/7 since and it hasn't glitched once. Not needing a reboot or anything since 2015, not that good switches do. But still... Unbelievable. Speed tests provide a stable, constant speed as expected. I now need another one in the house.
