Very please and impressed. 5 cameras purchased and all outside. I have also discovered that you can use the Arlo cameras with a Nighthawk router have a look at this YouTube clip [...] what that means is you don't have to use I the standard base station So saves an extra gadgets but you might have to replace your existing router to do this.6th Feb Update.I've had this system up and running now for over 2 months. I have had Duracel batteries in from 23rd December and 2 cameras have over 70% left and the other 3 have 100%. Advise to all those complaining of poor battery issue I say buy decent batteries. App easy to use. Working brilliantlyUpdate 17th MarchAll working well.And no issues.Update 27th AprilOk here is the score on the batteries they don't run down even Lee which is not an issue to me what I suggest people do if they buy a battery tester and test each one of the batteries and throw the one that is Dud away and replace it with either another recycled or a brand new one however you won't get 100 percent battery percentage on your camera so just get over this point it's just a simple case of recycling of batteries and monitoring them yes it is a little bit of a nuisance but it's not cause me any issues. There are some people that have given for reviews and one recently about motion detection and camera lag yes of course there will be a little bit of camera lag but 2 seconds to 5 seconds is hardly going to end the world. Secondly and most importantly if you are just your cameras detections settings then you won't have issues it's all about using your cameras and set them up correctly because I've just read one review and it's all about detection the person hasn't spent time setting them up correctly adjusting them and getting the optimum range excetera period. I now have 9 of these cameras and I cannot endorse them better enough and also my parents have the same system yes my dad complains about the batteries Not Giving a complete reading in that some of the batteries are still hundred percent and others are dead however he's got over that point and now jiggles around the batteries as I do don't hesitate jumper this product it's excellent take it from one who knows. Genuine Arlo mount which is well built and very sturdy. I have bought after market housings for my cams which should protect the cams from bad weather but it means I cannot use the original magnetic mounts which came with the system. I bought a similar looking cheaper mount to try but sadly it broke on first fitting because it would not support the weight and to get it tight meant I had to overtighten it. It was clearly made of inferior materials. These genuine Arlo mounts have posed no such problem and definately worth a few quid extra. After all, you wouldn't want your £150 plus camera to come crashing down would you? I have read some reviews from people who have slated these because of a rust issue?Well, the towers themselves are made of cast aluminium (wont rust) and the threaded part has to be made of steel to have strength. So, spray a little WD40 or similar oil on to the thread and shaft, wipe the excess off and you should have no problems. Do this a couple of times a year and you will ensure longevity of these mounts. Don't forget, anything we fix outside will be exposed to the good old British weather so a little bit of basic maintenance will go a long way. I can certainly recommend these mounts.

I ordered this mount as so I could angle my Arlo camera in a way not quite possible with the standard magnetic mount, and to ensure it was a bit more secure. I ordered this and at the same time I ordered a much cheaper and similar looking mount also from Amazon. Both arrived at the same time, and it was immediately apparently that whilst more expensive, the difference in quality was night and day. The Arlo mount comes in a proper box with instructions and another window sticker. It has a good weight to it and no sharp edges - clearly a well thought out and well manufactured mount. You get what you pay for! Fitting was a breeze - 7mm drill bit into brickwork, tap in the raw plugs and screw the mount on.From there, it's fully adjustable and you only need to twist the central part of the mount to tighten/loosen the movement of the camera. A complete doddle and the camera is tight with no play/movement when tightened so it won't droop over time.Well recommended over cheaper variants if you want more security for your camera over and above the magnetic mount, or if you need a different viewing angle. It's just a shame you don't get one of these in the Arlo kit as standard!

Easy to use and fit especially suited for external fitting.The round magnetic mounts that came with my Arlo Pro (3 cameras) are nice for inside use, and they did work outside but the angles that you can attach the camera to were limited in that you couldn't get exactly the right shot of what you wanted to be viewing.Also i was worried that somebody may throw something at the camera to knock it off, although the magnets are strong.So I purchased 3 of these and they were really easy to fit, and i could set them exactly how i wanted, although I made sure they were high enough off the ground so somebody couldn't unscrew them,but you can get some additional security attachments to make it more difficult to take off.The brackets are solidly built and you can tighten the adjuster so it is really secure and wont change the angle unless you were to actually loosen it yourself.So i would recommend these, as the quality is great, and the way you can position the cameras is so much better than the supplied ball magnetic ones.

Ordered these as I was having issues with rain on the lenses and fogging in cold weather basically rendering the camera useless. I did look at the cheaper options as these are a little pricey in my opinion, however opted for these. They fit brilliantly are very good quality and most importantly work. The little hood stops the rain from running down over the lens, I'm not saying totally eliminates it in torrential rain but the recording is still of a good enough image to identify what's happening and dries off very quickly. It has eliminated the fogging. In regards to the night vision being affected, the 1st night I used them I got the 'glare' that some users have reported.This was down to me not pulling the skin fully back over the camera and by adjusting it so that the skin is not visible to the lens in camera positioning, this totally eliminated the issue. Spiders seem to love building webs over them on occasions.

Although the Arlo Pro cameras are described and rated as waterproof I purchased the skins to give extra protection against the English weather. Not only that but I thought the built in hood would reduce glare on the odd day that we do see the sun. So far so good on all counts. They fit like a glove whilst still giving access to the main camera controls, including charging the battery. Being black they blend in better against the brickwork of the house. I wish Netgear supplied a white option as well as I want to fasten a couple of cameras to the UPVC barge boards. Unfortunately, they do not offer this option so I have had to purchase from a third party.Not surprisingly the third party option is much cheaper for what appears to be similar quality materials, fit and function.

Really easy to put up, but i have a couple of very small issues, the bottom plate where the mounting holes are positioned are really close to the arm so if you use a drill or impact driver you don't get much room to manoeuvre, but they aren't the biggest of screws so can be done by hand, also the 'wingnut' type arrangement to tighten the camera in place, the wings could be a little shorter to allow more room between the camera at certain angles from the wing itself, if they were slightly smaller they wouldn't clash. Like i said these are only small niggles but it does the job and looks good too.

Yes - there are cheaper mounts available but these just work in the way only an OEM really can. Slim form fitting, easy to install and don’t get in the way of any controls. Cameras seem to stay put too - so the adjustment is stiff enough to prevent movement but still relatively easy to reposition.The only negative is a limited range of adjustment - I wanted to mount some cameras facing more than 45 degrees from the wall and had to buy different style mounts but if you want your camera sticking straight out then these are the best mounts to go for.

Bought these as I needed two for the garden and one for the front of the house. I couldn't have asked for a better combination! The camo went into the flower pot, the green one was attached to a green pot and the black one was attached to my storm drain - all are now hidden from sight.I even cut (you shouldn't really cut them i must add) a couple of holes in the one to give myself a better fixing to a branch - the holes do not rip and the plastic is very strong and pliable. All in all very pleased and would highly recommend.

Whilst looking and reviewing this type of mount on Amazon, there are much cheaper versions out there. Do not be fooled! This is a quality mount, built of steel and very nicely made. In the box you have the mount, three screws, three plugs, decal warning people you have Arlo security system and a small instruction booklet. Putting the mount up was no problem at all. You can then point the camera anyway you want! I am very pleased with the quality of this item and is suitable for my Arlo cameras.

The only negative thing I have to say about these is that the night vision is a bit grainy and hard to see compared to old (much cheaper) Smart camera. Otherwise they are great and I like how small they are. The app works well and the cameras are very robust and feel high quality.The packaging is literally the worst packaging I’ve ever seen on a product - wasteful and awkward to remove.

I purchased this on the off chance that it would fit the Ring stick up cam, as most of the fittings are 1/4" screw threads. It fits perfectly, and far better than the flimsy camera mount that comes with the Ring cam, which snapped when trying to adjust it in situ. If i purchase another Ring cam i'll order another one of these to use instead of the one supplied. Happy customer ?

Keen to avoid yet another subscription, the Arlo’s provide excellent quality with totally wireless use. Though as I have installed them out of reach I have now added solar panels. All in all, I don’t have to touch or do anything with them to catch really great footage. So far caught drug dealers, users & urinators. None of knew we lived around such creeps.

These skins fit perfectly, ensuring the camera blends into its surroundings as much as possible. It's easy to peel them part way back to replace the Arlo's batteries, and the sync button is replicated to allow simple setup and reconnection if need be. However, I feel the price is high for what are basically thin pieces of mounded rubber.

Bought this to watch over motorcycles on my driveway. Is fantastic. I also very usefully get to know when my postman delivers the mail. Or when a leaflet dropper comes around. Or when the wind is blowing really strongly out front. Or when a bee inspects the camera. Or when a spider sets up a new home in front of the motion sensor.
