I'm putting 4 stars because of the bewildering complexity of setting this up.Netgear's (90-day complimentary) support person talked me through every click of manually assigning a static IP to the access point then configuring WPA-2 security and connecting my laptop and phone. I think people who say "setup is a breeze" in these reviews are just showing off frankly: maybe so if you are a network professional but without him I would never have figured it out and the 'manual' (a misleading little leaflet) is worse than useless. I have been around computers for decades and this is *not* straightforward, but thanks to the support guy all is now good and I'm up and running.

It works! Once installed you forget it's even there which is a sign of how good it is. The most difficult part that some people would find is setting a fixed ip address on a computer. This is required to initially configure the access point. The ac speed is great, however both 2G and 5G range is only satisfactory and very similar to the netgear router that I have. The range is not as fantastic as some reviews have made out, though this may be down to my house having thick brick walls.

Absolutely amazing Access Point! After a bad experience with a TP link 300mbps AP I grabbed this one and it works like a dream! I'm able to get my full 200mbps speed over WiFi now and couldn't be happier!

Really good piece of equipment, excellent performance and very flexible configuration options. Also looks really good. The best "home" and non-controller-based WAP I've come across

Easy to setup and configure. Great reception and up time. This is the second one I have purchased which must say something for the ease and reliability of the access point.

Great performance, high availability, 2 wifi networks (2,4GH & 5GH). I Have no longer Wifi problems at home but in the other it is expensive.

Top notch unit. You won't be disappointed.Dual band is great. Plug and go so very easy set up.
