Normally, I wouldn't hesitate to jump straight in with a 5-star review on Mortlach whisky; it's a superb drink. However, this particular bottle turned up with the plastic seal broken and an extremely loose cork stopper. I couldn't help but think it had been interfered with, albeit it probably hasn't - but that sort of thing doesn't inculcate confidence in where this has come from. I'll probably try a direct approach to the distillery next time.Amazon: yes, I do expect some sort of response to this...

Cannot fault it's smoothness and flavour. No harshness on the throat or burn as you swallow. Altogether a grand single malt. One of the review tabs asks is it giftable. Well you wouldn't want to gift this whiskey. It's far too good to give away. Just keep it for yourself!

nice and speedy delivery but unfortunately, the stopper is not quite flush/tight enough to prevent leakage and we lost some delicious booze as a result. Smooooth though.
