Let’s be honest, anything that has this depth of colour and Billy Walker’s name on it is guaranteed to be fantastic. Who is Billy Walker you might ask? Well he’s like the king Midas of sherried whisky because everything from him is delicious.This particular whisky reminds me a lot of Glendronach 18 but with a little more sweetness from the PX casks. If you like Glendronach whisky then you need to try an expression from Glenallachie and this 15 year old represents outstanding value for money.

Adrift in a world of not so great malts, it took a while to realise that this is a really classy whisky. Strong attack from the 46%, but no complaint there. But could I be suggesting a comparison to 18 year old Macallan? Give it a whirl and see what you think.

Now here's a cracking good dram.Lovely all round nose, palate & finish.Well balanced.A taste of heaven.Don't buy any, or there won't be any more for me (joking)!Top dram.

Hadn't seen this before so tried after reading a good recommendation... Wasn't disappointed! If you like sherry matured whisky definitely give it a try
