Be aware that this tool DOESN'T come with any batteries or charger when bought. I bought the 18v 5amp version of the battery to power my vacuum and from fully charged, the battery just about lasts to clean my ford Focus. If you have a bigger car or job to do (large people carrier or 2 cars) you will probably need two batteries at least. Also, look on the net for a good price, as I had mine for just under £100.The suction power is very good I found, picking up nearly everything I tried it on. The only time it let me down, was pine needles embedded into the car mats. Mind you, these needles are almost impossible to get out of mats even with a full size vacuum machine. You have to pull them out by your fingers usually,so the Milwaukee vacuum does a fair job all told I think. The black, bottom part of the box is where all the dirt ends up, with a large filter inside it which is easy to remove for cleaning. This machine also picks up water, but I have read on-line that it takes at least a day for the filter to dry out afterwards. I keep a small 1 1/2" paint brush under the top lid to help clean the filter after use, which is quite easy to do if it has just dust etc.on it. Also, you can attach the tube too the blower 'end' and blow the filter clean using the machine itself. This is a very quick (though dusty) way to clean the filter. The flexible tube is long enough to use inside a car, with the main box on a car seat while you vacuum the floor etc. This means you can use the vacuum inside the car without having to be outside a garage or under cover if it is raining, like you would with a normal vacuum machine..This means I no longer need to wait for a dry day to clean the car. I can safely say this vacuum machine is very good at what it does in the car, plus it works just as well for sawdust and general dust/dirt in my workshop. No more dust pan and brush for me. If you plug the flexible hose into the hole opposite to where it is shown in the picture, you then have a blower as well. I find this very handy for cleaning my bandsaw out when the sawdust starts to pile up inside the casework. You can of course use it like a normal vacuum cleaner to remove the sawdust from machines like this, but if you are outside, it saves cleaning the filter afterwards.I highly recommend this vacuum for it's intended use, but get 2 batteries if you buy it, as one battery (5amp) isn't really enough unless you use it in a small car. Also, the smaller amp batteries do fit this machine (in the 18v range) but the suction power is less than with the 5amp version. You could of course be charging one battery while the other is in use. Older 18v batteries also fit in the battery compartment, if you already have the older style of battery from a Milwaukee 18v hammer drill or other tool in the same range etc.All in all an excellent machine in use but look for the best price. Any money saved can go towards that second battery. You could always buy the 9amp battery to use in it, as it is supposed to last twice as long as the 5amp version.Update. I have recently been using this vacuum connected too my 28v circular saw (using the small supplied adaptor) and found it takes away nearly all of the sawdust when cutting some 6ft long shelving. It saved a lot of sweeping-up afterwards and kept most of the dust out of the air. There is also a newer version of this tool with the hose stored internally rather than on the side, which I am sure performs just as good.

Perfect for cleaning out my car and getting the fine dust out of corners on jobs after sweeping up. I use mine with the 9Ah batterys and it lasts a solid hour to two hours. Great if you have a few spare batterys as i do, would reccomend strongly.

Great bit of kit, a bit noisy and battery hungry. Got the Milwaukee as I already had a drill set and 3 batteries but I am now gonna need at least a 4AH now
