I've always used my 18v impact (compact + high torque) to drill pipe & cable holes through studwork. It does the job, but can take a while & is noisy.My latest project needs 25mm holes to go through C24 4x2's, in places x4! The impact driver was bogged down & couldn't get through.I purchased the Hawg & fitted a dewalt self feed twist bit. Amazing! It goes through effortlessly, pulling itself through like a train.The whole job of roughing out all the cable & heating holes is finished in no time!A beast, if you need to get holes through structural timber quickly, this & a good self - feed bit will save you lots of time & effort.Highly recommended & a joy to use.

If you’re a house bashing spark or plumber and you haven’t got one of these you’re cheating yourself. Flies through anything you put in front of it, feels very solid and a good weight. I’ve only had mine a week but a colleague has had his for 2 years and it’s never let him down. If you’ve got m18 tools go for it, you won’t be disappointed.

As its name tells its a "HAWG", it cheves through metal as a boar eats acorns. It was made for people on tools to get things done.As an Industrial Electrical Guy found this tool to be a good investment.

A great piece of kit.... Just the job for tight spaces, effortlessly drills through joists with auger bits.... Buy some 5.0ah batteries to have more power for longer. You won't be disappointed
