Maybelline Superstay 24h Foundation - No. 51, Caramel Beige (30 ml)The Maybelline Superstay foundation range includes 12 different hues. This one, caramel beige, is a deep, rich, slightly orangey beige colour that's perfect for me when I've got a deep tan. It's a liquid foundation dispensed from a hygienic pump dispenser. It is silky in texture, goes on smoothly, blends in perfectly to give a natural look, feels lightweight and leaves my face feeling moisturised. Coverage can be built up with layers to full coverage. It does not contain sun protection so you'll need to apply that separately. The foundation comes in a clear glass bottle with a white plastic pump action dispenser protected by a white plastic cap.The ingredients are printed on the bottle in tiny navy blue writing you'd need a magnifying glass to read. For sale at the time of writing this review at the RRP of £9.99 for 1 fl oz / 30 ml.=== INGREDIENTS ===G854042 Cyclopentasiloxane Aqua / Water Polypropylsilsesquioxane Isododecane Dimethicone C30-45 Alkyldimethylsilyl Polypropylsilsesquioxane PEG-10 Dimethicone Glycerin Silica Dimethicone/Polyglycerin-3 Crosspolymer Sodium Chloride Nylon-12 Phenoxyethanol Disteardimonium Hectorite Disodium Stearoyl Glutamate Cyclomethicone Chlorphenesin Ethylparaben Disodium EDTA Acrylonitrile/Methyl Methacrylate/Vinylidene Chloride Copolymer Aluminum Hydroxide Dipropylene Glycol Isobutane Paraffin Sodium Citrate Tocopherol Isopropyl Alcohol [+/- May contain CI 77891 / Titanium Dioxide, CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499 / Iron Oxides] (F.I.L. Maybelline Superstay 24h Foundation 30ml made by L'Oreal is one excellent foundation which I am extremely pleased with. I love the smooth texture first of all as it glided onto my skin without any hesitation. I found the actual foundation lasted all day, yet provided a nice natural finish. The colour I received was "Sand" which was slightly too dark for my very pale skin but I was able to blend it well in and it provided me with a nice healthy tone and colour to my usually very pale skin.I have already stated it lasted all day and I am happy to report this is the case even on a hot and sweaty day.The manufacturer promises it is transfer proof and this is certainly the case to a certain degree as there was a slight mark left behind on a white shirt but I was still very happy with the outcome. The longevity of the foundation is due to the foundation is manufactured using a micro-flex formula which I do believe is the reason the actual foundation clings to the skin which hides all those imperfections I do love to hide from view especially the open pores. Ilike the fact it sat well both on my T-Zone part of my face which would be more oily compared to the other areas of my face which would have a drier texture. I consider this to be the reason I love this foundation so much, is that it made all my face look the same having a really even complexion. It was a pleasure to apply and even more pleasure to wear.Maybelline Superstay 24hr Foundation 30 ml (sand) is a foundation and beauty product I would be happy to recommend.

My young adult tester wears a lot of foundation and Ivory is the shade in most ranges which is a little darker than her very fair skin and suits her. This product is probably too shades darker and very orange. I’ve observed this orange hue on some make up sales reps in department stores, I guess it’s and ‘in look’ and on a medium skinned individual under blue fluorescent light it could look ok, but in day light or tungsten lighting on a fair skin where the natural colour is lighter and shows through the hair line it can look slightly comedy….It’s packaged in a 30ml pump action dispenser. One press gives quite a lot of product enough for ¼-1/2 a face. Its quite big a glass bottom with plastic top- to be left at home rather than carried in a daily make up bag in my opinion. The product is quite highly pigmented so a small amount goes a long way. I prefer this type of container as you don’t contaminate the product with a dirty finger of make up sponge as can happen with some open topped bottle. The product does not feel too drying. On mature skin it moves quite well, not immediately settling into the laughter lines. If I were looking for a foundation for stage performers this range would certainly be a consideration. The ingredients don’t appear on the product. There is a tear back part of a label and often ingredients are listed there, but the sample bottle is blank. There looks to be a QRS code on the bottle but its tiny and the phone won’t read it. This might give more information.

**Disclaimer: I have very oily skin so results might not be typical**I tried this foundation on a day when I knew I'd be out for the evening and wouldn't have a chance to re-touch my make-up.I used it over a primer for oily skin (brand: the UK's leading pharmacy's leading brand), applying it with a damp beauty blender sponge. The foundation blends well and doesn't feel heavy. The coverage is very good. I applied face powder, blush, bronzer and highlighter (all powder products) on top.By the time I got home at 1 AM and my face didn't look too terrible: my forehead *was* oily, yes, but I expected that. To this day, nothing defeats the oiliness of my skin.In normal circumstances I would have blotted a couple of times in the day but that night I totally forgot. But aside from the oiliness, the foundation had stay put so I still looked like I had face make-up on. I removed it with my usual oil-based make-up remover (from a leading brand whose initials start with BB) without any problems.Unfortunately, as this was a complimentary product through Amazon's Review programme, not all shades were available and the shade I picked up was a little too dark and yellow based for me - I would need a lighter/pink based shade, but I see from Maybelline's website that a suitable one would be available for my skin tone. This Superstay Foundation is a good choice of "drugstore" level foundation but if you have oily skin, don't expect miracles.

Unfortunately my colour (Ivory) was the colour of smashed up cheesy Doritos but my mums shade Light Beige was fine, both of us have different needs for our foundation so this is from her point of view as a woman in her 50s with oily skin and menapausal breakouts and luckily for her she has lines around her eyes but not overtly signs of aging with her face resembling someone some years younger. This foundation was a worry when it came out the bottle, she said that she was concerned with the viscosity it would be thick and claggy on her skin which with her hormonal congestion may clump and 'roll' or streak and not blend well.Mum was overjoyed to be proven wrong. She said it went easily onto her skin and blended beautifully around the areas that needed attention with a comfortable finish, not too perfect mask-like but not barefaced sheeny either. It covered her red hormonal spots and patches all day without wearing through which was brilliant, but didn't 'mask' her face either and was easy to remove at the end of the day with hot cloth method.Overall my mum has said she would buy this again which is big for her as I don't think I've ever seen my mum repurchase a foundation, she often just goes without as it never is quite right, so to find a budget brand that works colour wise, coverage AND finish is a big ask but this is it for my mum. This will be repurchased.

The image I've attached to this review shows the top part of my hand with foundation blended in quickly using a fingertip, and the lower part with the foundation just before blending. I was not at all expecting to get such a good match, as I'd never have described my skin as 'honey', more light brown, and I am delighted. I think that when applied with a cosmetic sponge, the results will be even better. The bottle is 30mls, and more product than I expected for the price, so it's a bit of a bargain. But it is a huge bottle because of the dispensing mechanism and the thickness of the glass part, so it's not handbag-friendly, unfortunately. That shouldn't be an issue if the product lives up to its claim of 24hrs - at most I'd be testing it for about 12,personally.I had to prime the dispenser about 4 times before any foundation came out and when it did, despite a really slow, light press, a lot of product came out. I think there's a chance of wasting some of this because too much comes out in one go, and I don't want to end up with a caked-on look. Not sure if I should perhaps use a small tin e.g., Vaseline lip balm size, with any excess, as I'd hate to waste this.Overall, I'm delighted with this, as at age 50, I'm starting to get the dreaded 'Asian age freckles' over my cheekbones, and this covers them beautifully.

I got this in ivory which was a good match for my pale skin. I liked the pump action dispenser which meant that only a small amount of foundation was dispensed at a time. I found that the make-up applied easily to my skin but dried in very quickly so that it was difficult to blend in particularly around my jaw line. As the name of the product indicates, this foundation is intended to be long lasting - indeed it promises to last for 24 hours. In order to last this long it obviously has to be heavy and highly pigmented, which it is. It provides full coverage with a matt finish. I have a small red scar on the side of my face which I normally hide with concealer as my usual foundation does not cover it.However, this foundation provided about 90% coverage - more than any make up I have ever used. It was useful in this respect but in general I found that it was too heavy for me. It gave a mask like finish which just didn't look natural. It did last well and when I removed my make up at bed time there was still a lot of make up to remove. In addition I prefer a foundation which contains sun screen and this doesn't. Overall, this is a good foundation for those who like full coverage and/or need something long lasting. It undoubtedly ticks these boxes, but personally I prefer something lighter and more natural.

I really liked this foundation but I got the wrong shade for my skin. I'm quite pale and chose 'light beige' as I usually wear a beige in my other brands but this was far far too light for my skin tone. I ended up looking ghostly pale and was asked if I was ill! Anyway, shade aside, it's a good foundation and formula. The bottle is contemporary and makes application easy whether you prefer fingers, brush or sponge. I like to apply foundation with my fingers so a quick pump of the bottle top to dispense on a finger and apply away. I do like a pump bottle even though you often can't get every ounce of product out of the bottle. It does keep the bottle clean and if you knock it over there's no spillage which is good. The liquid itself is easy to apply. You don't need too much just a 5p size splodge to cover the face. It spreads well and isn't streaky. I didn't find it was too dry as other reviewers have done. I actually thought the product was quite similar to my usual brand (Revlon) and not much difference in price either. I suffer from bad acne so I need an excellent foundation that covers well and doesn't aggravate my oily skin. I have had quite a few breakouts since using this foundation so whilst I cannot be 100% certain to blame the foundation, I will have to return to using my normal one.

***UPDATE: I got the Sand shade instead which is great.***Oh dear!! I chose completely the wrong shade (Caramel) and I look like an oompa-loompa, haha! But I will still try to review this fairly.Given that it was so orange on me I've only worn it at home, but it seems to give good coverage, disguising any blemishes that are discoloured on your skin.Application is fine even if applied with your fingers (instead of a brush or sponge). Despite being a liquid it's quite dry as soon as it touches your skin so you don't have to wait to apply anything on top. You need a fair amount to cover your face as it doesn't spread very far. It works well alongside my usual powder blusher. It wears well throughout the day,a matte look giving way to a bit of shine on my forehead in warmer conditions (I have slightly oily skin).I found it a bit trickier to remove than my normal foundation, so if I bought this again I probably wouldn't use it as my everyday foundation because I don't like to have to make too much effort taking my makeup off at night.Other than that I think it seems pretty good. It's quite a small bottle at 30ml, so although it seems cheap it may not be as economical as you think, because I have more "expensive" foundations than this but you use less each time.

This foundation is very good. The product is definitely buildable coverage and lasts all day. By far one of the best drug store foundations on the market right now.The product blends very well and gives you a flawless and even look. But be careful! Too much of this product won’t blend out as well and will make the face look caked and thick. The reason for 4 stars is that the current colour I use does make me look a bit orange if I don’t blend it on my neck. The lighter colour from the range makes me look extremely pale and there is no in between. I guess it might be an idea to use both at some point and see if that helps. But again, I don’t think I should have to purchase two foundations in order to have the right share.Maybelline should definitely take note from L’Oréal they have an amazing range of colours. This foundation is not suitable for people with oily to combination skin. I can get a bit oily at times so I’ve started to use a matte moisturiser to control the oil production on my face and it seems to have done the trick. Nivea, if anyone is wondering. Before purchasing online I would recommend buying this in store first or at least testing the colours in store as the foundation oxadises and starts to look a bit darker than the initial application.

It's undoubtedly one of my favorite foundations, and I have a decent collection of them! It's incredibly full coverage, a lot more than Revlon Colorstay and Rimmel 24 hour foundation. You need like half a pump for the entire face. This makes it cost effective too (not that it's not as is!). The days when I'm not going for as heavy coverage, I use a very light pump, though it can get a tad heavy; which actually brings me to my next point, and that's the heaviness. It's a full coverage foundation after all that's made to last, so it does feel heavier than a sheer foundation like Bourjois Healthy Serum. It doesn't leave a tacky feel like Rimmel 24 does nor does it feel heavy.Just gives a lovely natural demi-matte finish.Longevity is really good, but absolutely not for 24 hours as claimed. It does transfer, and starts breaking up a little around lips and nose (like most of my foundations) after a few hours of wear, but then, I'd mixed it with a drop of oil so I can't say for sure if the foundation alone is to blame. It's basically a proper dupe for Estee Lauder Doublewear. It's the closest thing you'll get.You cannot miss this foundation if you're into full coverage makeup.Oh and I got it for like £5.50 so that was a steal!

This foundation is very easy to apply the same as most other liquid foundations. For me, one squeeze of the liquid was sufficient for my face so the product will last for ages. I put it on the back of my hand then used my finger tips to apply before rubbing it in to give a good coverage. It covers small blemishes very well and doesn't leave the skin feeling tight, in fact, the skin feels very natural.Once on, the foundation stays put and is not easily rubbed off. The disadvantage of this is that you have to be fairly quick putting it on as the instant it dries you can't spread it out. I also found that it was quite hard to get off the back of my hand after I had finished applying.I thoughtinitially that the colour was too dark for me as I am pale but was actually impressed with the natural additional colour that it seemed to give my face - this foundation will work for me all year round even in the summer when I've got a bit of a tan.The texture of the actual cream is a slightly odd waterproof feel but I guess that gives it the long lasting property. It is worth emphasizing that this product will not come off during the day - even if you blow your nose nothing comes off on the tissue unlike some other products.

My partner found this to be a good, easy to use product and it comes nicely packaged. She is fair skinned and normally buys an alternative brand of foundation cream in the nude beige colour. She wanted to try this as the manufacturers claims interested her.She always cleanses and moisturises before applying foundation so she did this before trying the Maybelline Superstar 24h Foundation. The first difference that she noticed with this product was how easy it is to apply with a sponge or fingertips and how nicely it blended on her skin. It did not require excessive amounts to cover her face and it was easy to get out of the bottle as it is fitted with a pump top. As with any product marketed for its colour, each manufacturer produces their own version of a colour and the Maybelline Nude Beige is a bit darker than her normal brand. She found that it did help to lessen the appearance of blemishes and that it has a nice matte/satin finish that looks quite natural. Also, it does not transfer and it does not leave her skin dry at the end of the day so, generally, she feels that it is great for everyday use.

I got this for my daughter to try, as she suffers from persistent acne and scarring. This is her feedback ..I usually wear a tinted moisturiser or similar, with SPF30 to avoid further damage to my skin, and so that my skin can breathe. I don't tend to wear heavy makeup, but it's good to have something a bit more solid for a night out, or if I have client meetings. My skin is quite oily, so it's hard to find anything that stays! Others have said that this is heavy - actually I found that with moisturiser underneath, there's no reason why it can't be light. I ended up using about half a pea's worth for my whole face, which worked just fine. I would suggest exfoliating first, as it is quite drying, and will show any flaky skin. I was really pleased with the result - it didn't cake, didn't move, and didn't dry my face out. I wouldn't make it heavier, as I do think that using more would feel like a bit of a mask .. but then I am used to just tinted moisturiser. The only reason for the loss of a star is because it has no SPF, which is critical for me.

I received this product in Sun Beige and it is a really nice colour. I am pale skinned and I do like my foundation to give me a bit of colour which this Maybelline foundation achieved without me looking really orangey! I applied the foundation on top of my moisturiser and a little went a very long way. The foundation is dispensed by a handy pump on top of the bottle so you can easily apply a little at a time and you're not left with a messy bottle! The foundation was lovely and creamy, not too thick and very easy to apply on top of moisturiser - it gave good coverage and felt nice on my skin. After applying my make-up on top, the foundation lasted all day and evening and held my make-up in place very well.I have not used Maybelline foundation before, I normally use Estee Lauder Double Wear which is much more expensive but I would say the Maybelline foundation is very comparable to my usual Estee Lauder. Very impressed and would highly recommend this foundation. I will be purchasing another bottle when this bottle runs out.
