Finally, a product that delivers on its label as it glides on in the morning or wherever your going & even with the really hot weather it totally stays put literally until you decide to take it off, I’ve not long turned 50yrs old & have smiles lines but eyelids have some wrinkles - ladies it does not highlight them at all in fact it makes them almost seem blurred away, just a couple of glides across the eye area with a good eye brush & which evens out the natural eye colour like a base but one with moisture in it as not drying while applying & then I can build the colour from a natural everyday makeup look all the way up to an evening look as & when required but, the colours when applied LOOK like an expensive Mac,Bobbie Brown palette of colours. When I first saw the colour in the pot it looked like a shimmer, now shimmer & wrinkles is never going to work, yikes! but, when it’s applied it isn’t a shimmer at all just a very subtle glow at best, friends, family & partner all said “you look so well you've a glow about you” (I’m chronically ill so those comments are rare!) I then said what makeup I’d used so luckily for me my partner bought all the colours available) - ALL are great but I especially like to use no: 93 nude (creme de nude) as an all over base then on the outer corner of eye & crease with 98-creamy beige for everyday (colour can always be built up, then evening same base or 91- creme de rose instead & then the taupe (40) or the slate grey on the lid & in eye crease blending it out towards the brow softly..... anyway, I’ve waffled on but in this heat it stays put & my mum who’s 75yrs old now uses it & any age can seemingly use it as her wrinkles seem blurred out too and it looks so natural she just looks ‘well’ not made up at all, she had just avoided eye shadow entirely because she said it sat in her eye wrinkles - my mum looks beautiful, not made up but just a better version of her which is lovely, it was a palarva just to get her to let me try it on her then she just uses the nude and the creamy beige (98) Ps: blimey I should be in commission with this review LOL if only eh!

I'm not really used to applying creme eye shadow so the first time I used it I used my finger to blend it onto my eyelid and the second day, a flat eye shadow brush. On reflection, the brush provided a much more even result. The colour I tested named 'on and on bronze' was nice and subtle and I would imagine would suit most skin types and a variety of different eye colours - for example I have blue eyes and it worked well to accentuate them. I am middle-aged and therefore sparkly shadows tend to get lodged in the lines, but this hasn't occurred with this formula. I also wear glasses for myopia and consequently my eyes are rendered smaller as a result, but this shadow defined them nicely behind the lenses.I'm not sure whether it could last the full 24 hours as promised because I removed it at night, but I would imagine that this would appeal to young people who enjoy bopping the night away in discotheques. The packaging was fairly heavy though with a rather robust feel - in effect, much sturdier than my usual brand. That said, I'd previously experienced major caking, spilling and other such things with flimsier containers within my make-up bag which meant that I'd had to throw it away.Removal was simple - both via a simple cosmetic face wipe and on another occasion with this product:

Maybelline Colour tattoo 24 hour Eye Shadow for me is a great eye shadow which lasts all day. I have bought this in various colours and for me it is a great addition to any make-up bag especially to those who own make-up bags filled with colours which are fashionable and look good when applied.I have actually used a fine eyeshadow brush which I previously dampened, and drew a line along my lower and upper eyelashes which leaves a lovely fine yet shimmering line. I have also applied primer and after I applied my usual foundation I was able to use a slightly broader brush and lightly brushed the Maybelline Colour tattoo eye shadow over my eyelid until I received the depth of colour I wanted. This is a great eyeshadow which certainly lasts all day,but still allowing me to remove it using a good eye make up remover quickly and easily.I am happy to recommend this beautiful to apply and even better to see the glow it leaves on my eyes with the shimmering gloss which is very trendy at this present time. Gold is a great colour coming up to Christmas.Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 Hour eye shadow is an eye makeup I am happy to recommend to anyone who loves great colours which stand out in the crowd yet still not leaving you look like an over painted clown.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 Hour Eye Shadow is one of the few makeup products I recommend to others. What I love about this eye shadow is that it allows me to be very lazy, this is my go-to eye shadow on a lazy day or when I'm in a rush because you can literally just slap it on with fingers or a makeup brush and it looks good without much effort to blend. It does what it claims and will stay put long-term too, you may get a little bit in the creases of your eye lids but overall it stays exactly where you put it all day. This eye shadow also doesn't dry-out so it's comfortable to wear all day and without feeling uncomfortable or caked on.Another big plus for this is that it lasts for A-G-E-S even when applying a fair amount and using daily this pot seems to go on for ages so price-wise it's really good value too.Previously I've used Pink Gold which is an adorable dusty pink colour with a sparkle, this time around I used On and On Bronze which is a little more brassy than colours I'd normally wear but when applied lightly it just gave a nice sparkly touch of bronze colour. Light application is suitable for day use, and heavily applied these eye shadows give some serious glitz - I'm liking On and On Bronze as a nice Christmas color.

This has genuinely surprised me. It is a cream eye shadow, which goes on as a russet pinkish brown, subtle enough to fall within the genre of 'natural' colours which is perfect for work. The shade gives texture and highlights the eyes, but while still looking fairly natural, and would be ideal for those who prefer the brown shades for daytime wear. The cream factor is interesting, as the structure of the cream ensures it stays in place. In older people particularly, eye shadows can clump into a deep line across the top of the eye, but this stays in place throughout the day, even when walking around outside in the rain. I had put this on in the morning, and was very surprised when going to bed that it was still the same.As a single eye shadow, this doesn't contain an applicator. I used my fingers, but a brush would be ideal.I would highly recommend this, it would fall into the category of cosmetic essentials for those who kept a small amount for daily use.

The Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr range offers an impressive collection of different finishes and colours. I have a shimmery version in a bronze colour too, the shimmery version is very creamy and smooth to apply, this leather effect is much drier and less smooth to apply. This is not necessarily a negative, but I have used these types of shadows for a while and the consistency is really quite different.I prefer these pots of shadow over power-based shadows as it is my experience that they live up to their claims of being long-lasting.Colours are a personal preference but this "Vintage Plum" colour really suits me. It's a lovely soft grey-purple. It isn't too dark and creates a nice warm smoky effect without being grey or black. The leather effect means that the finish is matte and there is no added sparkle.I really like this range and I would definitely buy more colours and finishes.

This 'leather effect' Plum coloured eye shadow is an interesting one, it's certainly got a slightly leathery effect to it and the colour is fairly dark.My wife tried this on with darker coloured lipstick and it does look good if you're going for that look (I can only describe it as a purple grey colour when applied, a sort of washed out lavender), but too much seems to be too dark, making it almost look like a bruised eye! Get the right amount, though, and it's a very distinctive but not overly bright colour which really works well.Application was easy and the jar, although small, was easy enough to get into and the feel was dry but not too powdery. It lasted, too, though as she didn't leave it on for 24 hours I can't dispute or confirm their claim of it lasting that long.Ideal for evening wear and those who want to look unique, it's certainly a top quality eye shadow.

Great eyeshadow and makes your eyes really stand out, it's a bright shock of colour. I find it easier to apply this with a little brush. I used my finger initially and it got a bit messy! After about 8 hours I found it looked slightly less vibrant and went into my eyelid creases a bit but I've now used an eyelid primer which keeps your eyelid matte and absorbs any moisture which could cause it to look less effective and it is lasting much better. The only downside I had was that my false eyelashes don't stick as well to it and it lifts up more with the glue than my powder eyeshadow after a while as it gets moister so if you're out in falsies make sure you have a spare glue with you.It doesn't drastically lift all the time but it's worth noting.A very different look to blendable powder eyeshadow. Great for evenings and a really nice bronzey goldy colour.

I quite liked this product. It was firm but creamy and, using my finger, went onto my eyelids quite smoothly. I managed a good first-time hit and didn't need to clean any off which might have been a problem. This is because it set within minutes. It lasted through the night nicely and I didn't even try taking it off that night, wanting to test out the 24-hour claim. However, even after a shower the next morning, the colour remained, although slightly 'bitty'.Since then I've tried using this "Eyestudio" product as a lipstick. It didn't have the same staying power, but it certainly lasted longer than a cream lipstick ever lasted on my face! However, if you don't like dry lips, then avoid using it this way.Personally I dislike sticky lipstick so this was fine.If I see it in the shops I will buy it again - a good product.

This Maybelline Eyestudio Color Tattoo eye shadow is a very nicely presented product: the pot has a heavy glass lid that gives this a really good quality and quite retro feel. The glass lid also has the effect of a magnifying lens, making it appear from the outside of the jar as though there is significantly more make-up inside the jar than there actually is.The eyeshadow itself has a nice, smooth, creamy texture that applies easily and, even when applied sparingly, some colour remains in place for the whole evening without creasing or flaking. I love the strong colour, and the effect it has on my eyes when applied for dramatic effect - the dark blue changes the appearance of my naturally light blue-grey eyes, making them appear more grey than blue. It's a pleasing change of effect.

This is Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 Hours eye-shadow in the shade Pomegranate. This is a dusky, dark pink colour. It is a gel cream and I found it was best applied with a fine brush. I have tried other shades in this range – On and On Bronze and Gold – and found it stayed on well and this was the same. The colours do go together well. I do not normally wear this particular colour, but it looked nice – especially with a burgundy top – and I highlighted it with the Bronze colour. The eye-shadow comes in a pretty little glass pot and you can either wear it as a single colour or blend it with other shades. Even a light application will add a touch of shimmer for the evening.A great addition to your make-up bag and I look forward to trying other shades in the range.

This gel eyeshadow goes on very smoothly. It isn't sticky or thick as you put it on and provides good coverage and colour depth. Layering more in different areas produces a lovely gradiated colour effect. I really like this eyeshadow. It doesn't come with any brush/tool for application which is a shame as you really need one if you don't want messy fingers. It says it's a 24 hour eyeshadow. I put mine on at 5pm and wore it out for our Christmas do. At 11am the next morning one eye was still as perfect as when it went on, the other eye had been teary and I'd rubbed it a lot ... this eye still had some eye shadow on but it was patchy. It definitely lasted better than my normal powder eyeshadow.I'd definitely buy more from the colour tattoo range.

arrived without problems (excessive packaging as usual). been wanting this for some time so very pleased to buy it at a reduced price than the retailed price at superdrugs/boots. has a beautiful shimmer and a creamy texture and applies nicely onto lids without creasing. only thing is that the glitter sizes are quite random, ie some very large and some small so needs a bit of care when transferring onto lid. i would say the best applicator is probably your ring finger- brushes would not be suitable as it would just not transfer any product onto your lid. i bought Eternal Gold- i believe it's a little weak when used by itself- beautiful when applied over matte brown shadow!overall pleased and am now thinking of buying Pink Gold too!

I couldn't be more impressed with this eye shadow cream. I have applied with my fingertip, which is good for a smokey look, but if applied with a brush the effect is excellent - really precise, and unlike most cream shadows, doesn't smudge onto the rest of the eye area.Very nice bronze/brown shade but slightly gold - looks great with my hazel eyes / blue undertones cream skin tone. Would work well with brown eyes /olive skin tone too I think.Texture is superb. Not too wet - slightly powdery cream. Lasts all day - even if you rub your eyes - really impressive.I have sensitive skin - no problems with this. This stands up to my Bobbi Brown eye shadow pencil very well and is a fraction of the price.Very much recommended.

An eyeshadow that looks deep when on, rich colour, and does stay there mostly all day. It's got an unusual texture; not oily, but feels oil based. It's not greasy or uncomfortable, but has a similar texture to a high quality face paint - that kind of slight waxiness. I wasn't expecting to like it but actually it does stay on for ages and looks really good. It's a bit less Navy and more on the grey end, but it does make for a really nice smoky look - due to it's texture it works well as a base layer for additional powders also.Applying it with a brush is fine, but it needs a hard, sponge brush, it will only clog fine eyeshadow brushes. Others have mentioned using a finger which works well,or a cotton bud.
