Maybelline Colour Sensational Vivids Lipstick - 910 Shocking Coral - RRP £6.99This is a really lovely lipstick which makes my lips feel moisturised and where the colour stays on well. The packaging is fun and fresh and good quality, with the internal silver twist-up barrel feeling sturdy and covered by a secure transparent red plastic cap that snaps securely onto the base, so it's easy to carry around in your handbag. Shocking coral is the perfect description for this colour - it's a coral pink colour that's neon bright and with a slight shimmer, suitable for a bold daytime or evening. The lipstick has a lovely slightly coconut oil aroma and slightly sweet flavour. There are three qualities I look for in a lip colour product, namely:* COLOUR: This Shocking Coral colour is a lovely neon bright pink peach coral colour with a slight shimmer, suitable for a bold statement look for daytime or evening. The colour is brighter than the panel on the bottom of the tube (which is a sort of ashes of roses pink) yet more pink than the lipstick itself looks when you wind it up out of the tube; for that reason, you probably need to try the colour to on your lips to see if it's what you're looking for - or just take a punt!* FEEL ON THE LIPS: Lipstick must feel smooth on application and not dry the lips out as some products do. This Maybelline lipstick goes on beautifully smoothly and leaves my lips feeling moisturised (though not quite as much as my favourite Laura Mercier lipstick, but it's a fraction of the price).* COLOUR STAYING POWER: If a lip product is too hard, it can be drying, but too soft and the colour can wear off quickly. This colour stayed on well, although the very middle part did wear slightly after I'd had a drink and eaten a full meal. For maximum staying power, I use a lip pencil around the outline of my lips to stop colour bleeding, apply the lipstick with a lip brush, press the lips together for a second or two to melt the lipstick into the lips then apply a second coat; otherwise I just slap the lip colour on as I go and that's easy to do with this lipstick as it's shaped at an angle at the end.

Maybelline New York is the world’s largest cosmetics brand and is on sale in over 129 countries worldwide. It’s been my favourite makeup brand since 2000.Originally the Maybelline Company was created by a 19-year-old entrepreneur named Tom Lyle Williams in 1915. In 1967 the company was sold by Williams to Plough, Inc, it was sold on in 1990 it was sold to an investment firm called Wasserstein Perella & Co.Then in 1996 it was sold to L'Oréal, which was the first cosmetic firm I started using back in the 1990’s.With having allergies I also stay with the brands I know so I don’t get reactions, (like I’ve had in the past with store own brands). So when I was asked if I’d like to review their Tantalizing Taupe (number 725),I was delighted to accept. Now with having natural light blonde hair, blue eyes and skin that’s extremely pale I normally wear very pale pink lipstick as if I go darker then that I look very ill. When this lipstick arrived I groaned as the colour of the lipstick was more a pale brown and didn’t resemble the photo on the product page on Amazon. So I was pleasantly surprised when I applied it as it’s very similar to my natural lip colour. I’d say a shade darker then the colour of my lips so that made them stand out a little more but the colour didn’t make me look ill, (due to my extremely pale skin colour). This lipstick comes with a clear, coloured plastic top that works well with the shade of lipstick, the actual tube the lipstick comes in is silver. The lipstick is easy to apply and goes on even and smoothly. It has a creamy feel and is enriched with honey nectar, so it doesn’t dry your lips out.It lasted on me about 3 hrs before it started to wear off, (but this was used when I wasn’t going out for a meal), and I didn’t have any allergic reaction to it. :-)I’m really pleased with this and I’d certainly recommend it. :-)

I first bought this product at 17 when I was looking to try out something new, some nice red and because I have a very cold skin tone (strong blue veins on my wrists) and I am very white I was nervously looking for a blue-based colour. This colour is quite good but it would suit a neutral tone (blue-green wrist veins) better than a cool one but it still looks good.Colour: It is not as bright as you would see in the picture, not at all. It isn't orange either when you put it on but it does have hints of orange in places. It's a strong, bright colour but it isn't a shining beacon of flaming terror it is a strong, brighter red but nothing ridiculous.Texture: It's easy to apply, very smooth, rubs on it's not slippery, greasy, glossy and once it sets and dries it looks like a nice stain. It doesn't rub off too easily unless you actually rub at it and even then it still stains a little so it's a good application. DO NOT LICK YOUR LIPS BEFORE TRYING TO APPLY OR IT WILL NOT GO ON. Make sure your lips are smooth and not chapped too.Smell: It has almost no scent apart from the typical sort of plain chapstick smell, no fruit, no food, no perfume it's like almost a plastic sort of smell nothing strong though like a typical lipstick and has virtually no flavour.Lasting: You can wear this all day but be aware if you are eating and drinking you may need to touch it up in places which for me personally isn't an issue. Don't lick or rub your lips together too much or it spreads. IT HAS NEVER GOTTEN STUCK TO MY TEETH.Price: For the price it is very good, one of the best, it isn't an overly bold colour and it does look very VINTAGE red like a pin-up, it looks beautiful in photo's really makes my pale pink lips stand out.I highly recommend this product :)

This lipstick is a pretty coral colour, which is very dramatic - almost neon in tone. It veers more toward the pinky end of the colour spectrum than the orange. The finish is soft and creamy, not drying, but definitely very matt, not at all glossy or sheer. It puts me in mind of my mum's old lipsticks from the 60s. It you have light skin you will see a huge contrast with this lippy. If your skintone is darker it will be a bit less striking, argueably more natural. I don't think it's the worlds easiest shade to wear if you are fair, or even if you have fair skin and darker eyes and hair, so do be warned. The staying power is ok, but not super long lasting.I actually like the fact that the lipstick rubs off relatively easily because it means you can blot it down to make it a bit more wearable. The packaging is fine - a sheer red tube over a silver inner casing There's just enough of the silver casing showing to get a decent grip, and it's thus not difficult to open (unlike some other brands that use this design).I dithered a bit over my rating, finding it hard to decide between 3 and 4 stars because I'm not sure the colour will suit all, but at the end of the day, its a nice formulation, decently packaged, affordeable, and essentially does what it says on the tin. So 4 stars it is.

Maybelline Jade Colour Sensational Nudes is a beautiful lipstick to use plus the added bonus the presentation of the Maybelline Jade Colour Sensational Nudes is quite perfect.Usually, with the cheaper range of lipsticks the tell-tale sign is always the casing, but with this particular lipstick, I have to say it is quite classy. Maybelline certainly put everything into this particular lipstick as everything about it really stands out against other budget brand lipsticks. The actual lipstick is a joy to use as when applied it adds a slight gloss to my lips as well as bringing moisture to them. Plus the colour is understated which will allow me to emphasise my eyes with a stronger eye makeup even a stronger eye=liner, depending on my outfit or even occasion.I have very pale skin therefore for me this colour is perfect, as it adds some colour to my lips yet does not have me looking like a clown who has escaped from the circus!Maybelline Jade Colour Sensational Nudes is a pleasure first of all to use, as well as the excellent packaging this lipstick has it all which makes it very easy for me to recommend Maybelline Jade Colour Sensational Nudes to other customers who like their lipsticks too look good inside and out of the packaging.

Maybelline Colour Sensational Vivids Lipstick is a beautiful lipstick which is so nice to apply as it simply glides onto your lips without any hesitation.Personally, I love the colour as it adds a light shade of coral to my lips providing a nice healthy gloss to my lips.I love the moisturisation I get using this lipstick as it provides a slight balm feeling to my lips as well as adding colour.I found the casing was nice enough as it is just has no excess decoration but still providing a safety cap for the lipstick which stays on well even with me carrying it around in a packed handbag.I do like this lipstick, the only reason I took a star off was due to the fact it has no staying power.I found it lasted longer when I had applied then used a clean tissue for blotting, I proceeded to repeat this process twice allowing the lipstick to stay on longer compared to simply applying the lipstick directly on to my lips without any other process. I also found using a lip brush helps me apply it more thoroughly.Maybelline Colour Sensation Vivids Lipstick is a beautiful lipstick to use and I know I will be returning for more colours, this makes it very easy for me to recommend it to other customers who like myself likes their lippy.

I am now fifty five and I have been a fan of Maybelline products since being a teenager and I especially love the Maybelline lipsticks.  When I was given the chance to review this Maybelline lipstick I jumped at the chance not having tried this lip colour before.Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick Number 418 is supplied in a classic lipstick barrel (deep red on the outer and gold on the inner barrel).  This range of lipsticks come in various fashionable shades and the one I received is called 'Peach Poppy'.The first thing I noticed when applying this lipstick was that it went on extremely smoothly and afterwards my lips felt wonderfully moisturised, this must be due to the addition of honey nectar (it also has a slight sweet honey smell) ... I like it, a lipstick that does your lips good. The colour is a lovely soft peachy pink.  This does not look too dark nor too bright, in fact it is a really good colour to wear during the day.  This colour really suited my colouring (fair skinned, dark brown hair and blue eyes), it would also look good on fair skinned blondes.  I applied this colour before I went out at 10am, I was out for a good three hours and during that time this lipstick did not need reapplying.Perfect.

My Lovely Girlfriend kindly reviewed this lipstick for me...I eagerly awaited this lipstick as I always LOVE Maybelline lipsticks and have nearly all the 'Vivids' which are fantastic.I like the packaging, it does match up with the colour inside. The smell! I always really like the scent these have and this one is not like any other, that Play-Dough-y sort of scent, this one is like a toffee or a caramel! A sweetie, dessert-y kind of scent. YumYum.The colour is subtle as if Milky Bar had a baby with Dairy Milk. I like it very much and it does finish a 'look'. It is something I would like when I have gone wild with black eye liner and tons of mascara. It is a little lighter than my lip colour which for me is unusual, but very welcome and I keep looking at it. It has stayed on very well as all Maybelline lipsticks seem to do. Barely a touch up throughout a day. I will look for more colours in this particular range. It is good 'safe' colour for giving as a gift too. Also it would work for toning down a colour that is way too bright by mixing it with a lip brush. Recommended completely.

This dramatic lipstick certainly lives up to its name of, “Shocking Coral.” It comes encased in a pretty pink holder and the shade is visible on the bottom sticker (not my favourite way of seeing the colour when rooting about in my make up bag, as the stickers they use rarely match completely). That apart, I can see why they have packaged it like this, as it does look dramatic and that is obviously what they are trying to convey here. The lipstick itself is a bright, almost neon, pink. It is far closer to pink than coral, but then you can vary the effect with how you apply it. You can either get a striking, bright and bold effect, for the evening (or daytime if you wish),or use a lighter touch for a surprisingly pretty, coral touch. I have to admit I prefer the lighter tone, but then I am perhaps a little old for the bold and dramatic in the daytime. Still, this is pretty and it smells gorgeous and feels really nourishing on your lips. Needs to be re-applied fairly often, but still a lipstick I shall wear often.

Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick Number 418 is a lovely lipstick which I love to wear as it simply leaves my lips feeling soft and supple, this conditions my lips so well I had not to add an extra conditioner which a lot of the time especially in winter I would have had to apply.First of all the lipstick casing is actually very classy looking and for the price, this is one excellent lipstick. The pigment of the colour is not very strong which means a few applications was needed though for me I was happy with the condition it left my lips in, with a slight fruity colour. The fragrance is divine and everything about the color sensational lipstick is a pure pleasure to use.Maybelline ColourSensational Lipstick Number 418 is one lipstick I am extremely happy to recommend as it provides my lips with a nice healthy colour while leaving them feeling great.

This shade of this lipstick looks to be one colour on the sticker on the base, a pale pinky peach, but when you open the lipstick it looks really bright and like a bright coral colour, which I hadn't been expecting. However, when I tried the lipstick on, I found that it was much more subtle than I had I expected. The colour was quite light with one coat, with a slight shimmer, which I really like. With a second coat after blotting, you can get a stronger colour, but I prefer it as a light shimmer. I have naturally quite pink lips and with one coat, this colour looks great and I have been using it a No7 nude lip pencil, which looks really effective and makes my lips look fuller. The lipstick has quite a sweet smell, which I would imagine is the honey nectar which the lipstick is enriched with, which is quite pleasant and not overpowering at all.

Oh I do love a nude lipstick (which I tend to team with a stronger eye) as I'm not a great fan of particularly obvious lip colours. This is rather lovely product with some nifty packaging (a chrome coloured barrel topped off with an amber coloured tranparent plastic covering) makes it look more expensive than it actually is. The shade I tested was #725 'Tantalising Taupe' which wasn't an absolutely perfect match for my blonde hair/blue eyed/fair skinned complexion, but it's a good colour nonetheless and would probably suit someone with darker hair and skin.It was easy to apply directly from the barrel as the pointed tip made getting into the cupid's bow and corners easy. It tastes of fruity lip balms/sweets,which is extremely pleasant compared to slightly powdery/retro tang of my usual nude lipstick brand:

Personally, Maybelline is a brand most readily associated with mascara, a product they reputedly 'invented' and seen used almost to the exclusion of other brands. Lipstick is not a product that was known to be made by them and 'Maybelline Jade Colour Sensational Nudes Lipstick 4 g Pack of 1' may therefore be part of an entirely new product line. This is a fairly true-to-life 'nude' and appears to be quite natural and neutral when applied - it does not shout 'lipstick' when on and could easily go unnoticed unless you spot its slight sheen.Personally not an expert on lipstick, and never using it being male, it was passed to a female relative to use for the purpose of review.Reports were very positive as it suits her preference towards 'less-is-more' and subtlety rather than the glaringly obvious.

This is a brilliant lipstick and the colour my review is about is the Summer Pink 148 shade. The lipstick is really creamy and applies beautifully although you may wish to use a lip liner to prevent any colour bleed. The lipstick container is really aesthetically pleasing and has a see-through outer cover with a sliver coloured twist up applicator. The lipstick feels really soft and creamy on my lips and smells absolutely divine with I think a honey and vanilla scent to it that isn't overpowering but smells wonderful. The Summer Pink shade itself is a lovely light pink shade and as the name suggests probably more suitable for during summertime and I think this would suit most skin tones.A really lovely shade, divine scent and stylish container.
