This is a red lip kit five piece lip make up set from Maybelline. At almost £25.00 you need to be sure this is the colour for you before you buy. The kit includes a lip liner in bricked, a matte lipstick in scarlet and a lip gloss in classic red. The piece de resistance is the master fix translucent powder which sets the lipstick in place and holds it quite successfully even after a couple of cups of coffees.Not for the faint hearted, it takes time and patience to apply correctly and the effect is quite sensational but very bright and I dispute that it suits all skin tones because as good as it is it does not suit mine. I am very fair and need a glossy pink and this is too sensational for me.

This is a great little set, it consists of a red lip liner, a red lipstick, a red lip gloss and a setting powder which is suitable for lips and face.The lip liner is great and goes on very smoothly, you then fill with the lipstick which is a perfect colour match, pat dry to remove excess lipstick then coat with the lip gloss for the ultimate shine and gorgeous look.The translucent powder is great to set it and definitely helps to keep it fixed longer in place, the powder is also lovely to use all over your face to set your whole make up and makes your face feel lovely and smooth, it's a bit messy, once opened it tends to puff everywhere and when closing the same thing happens and leaves a slightly dodgy 'white powder'

I love the idea of this kit with matching lip liner, lipstick and gloss - but the colours don't match perfectly so it seems that existing products have just been bundled together. The liner is more orange than the lipstick and gloss which are a true scarlet with blue undertones. If you just line, you'll get that dreaded cartoony outline round your mouth so it's best to use the liner as a base coat all over your lips followed by the lipstick and/or gloss.The lipstick is lovely, a sort of demi-matte which feels soft and creamy on. The gloss is also good, a bit sticky so watch out if you have long hair. It can be worn either alone or over the lipstick to give a variety of finishes.

This is a really good kit. The liner is the kind you twist to push up, with a built in sharpener on the end. It is smooth and precise, making it easy to draw a good sharp line.The lipstick is a brilliant colour, very flattering, teeth whitening, long lasting while still feeling light textured and non drying.The gloss is a darker colour, and I'm not too sure about the applicator: it has a cup shape on the end of the wand which can collect too much product. But if you are careful, it's a good way to take your look to a more dramatic place. The gloss is also good on its own applied sparingly and smudged: you can get a sexy, natural flushed lips effect.I've not used the loose powder on my lips because I didn't feel the need,

This is a lovely colour. A true red. It has a nice, creamy texture. A semi- Matt look. When applied, the colour is intense. If you blot your lips. The colour is less intense and slightly pinker. The lip feel, as l call it. When you press your lips together. Is very creamy and soft. I wanted a lipstick, to ware for dancing Flamenco. This fits the bill. It is an evening colour, l would say. It has not passed, the drinking from a cup test. It does transfer, onto everything. However, it does have, quite good staying power. You get a good sized lipstick, for your money. Delivery was quite quick. I was so pleased that l ordered two more. Sometimes it is hard, to find a lipstick, that you love.

What a fabulous little kit this is! If it came presented in a gift box this would make the ideal present; but unfortunately it arrived as separates. However, as it wasn’t being gifted this didn’t bother me as such.The kit contains a lipstick, liner, cleanser, a setting powder compact & a cleansing makeup remover sample. The lipliner and lipstick used together is amazing!Such a vibrant red that works really well against my medium/dark skin tone. Two coats of this Matt colour lasted the majority of the day and only re-touched slightly for after work drinks.The setting powder Is really good too! Yes, I do find loose powders to be more fiddly and time consuming than pressed powders,

One of the big trends at the moment is about depth in lips, rather than just a blanket shade. This kit is designed to help with that. First, the lip liner. Not necessarily just around the line, but also a bit of shading, or vertical lines to created depth in thinner lips. Then the lipstick. This is a matt, almost orange red. It does work, even on tones that prefer cooler shades, and it is very bold. Then the gloss, which is more of a darker, blood red. Finish with the white setting powder, which does take some of the gloss effect off, but works well in preserving the shades. The setting powder also works well with kohl eyeliners, useful if, like me, the liner tends to run every time your eyes water.All in all,

I absolutely loved the idea of this set and it's very nearly brilliant. I have recently been converted to wearing vibrant red lip colour and this is the ultimate set - lipstick, lip liner, lip gloss, setting powder and micellar water to remove - it's well thought out and on the whole well executed. The downside for me is that I'm not sure that the lip liner and the lip colour are a perfect match - not far off, but slightly odd to have in a set when they aren't a perfectly designed pair. Secondly, I would have expected this to come in a little gift set (whether you gift it to a friend or to yourself is neither here nor there, but that would add to its glamour and appeal. Although this did not come packaged as I would imagine a 'Gift Set,' to be described (simply packed in a dark, padded envelope) the quality of the items included are excellent. However, just something to bear in mind if you are buying it for someone, as I think the product description is a little misleading.That said, I was using this myself, so included are: a small packet of Micellar Cleansing Water to remove make up (bit of an add on this, as you can only use it once), some MasterFix setting and perfecting loose powder, to keep your lipstick in place, and then there is a lip pencil, a matt, Siren in Scarlet lipstick and then a dark, liquid gloss. The gift set arrived minus a box and items were separate, so a bit disappointing.The lipliner is a gorgeous colour ( brick red ) and does a perfect job outlining your lips unfortunately the tip kept breaking off after use so a good idea not to push up to much.I love the lipstick ( siren in scarlet ) is a gorgeous colour and is creamy and soft and really does stay on.The lip gloss is a shade or so darker in classic red with a nice gloss and finally the translucent dusting powder for smudge free lips which you could use your fingers or a brush for application.I received a Garnier Micellar cleansing water for removal of makeup which is also suitable for sensitive skin types.A very nice make up

Got them from Boots but will be ordering others from Amazon.** I used one of the red shades for Halloween and it lasted pretty much all night! I would go to touch up expecting it to be gone, and be pleased to find it still super red! And then I lost my newest fav lipstick in a taxi. Heavy sigh LolWent out and bought 2 more Maybelline lipsticks. Midnight Plum and Divine Wine--- they are more pink than I wanted even though they didn't look super pink when I tested it on my hand. Can still use them but will def be buying more shades that are less pinky! (Sorry for the smudgy job trying to show y'all the shades. Left a blank patch on my lips for ref...)

I was a little apprehensive about buying this lipstick as I usually buy a more expensive brand but needed a lipstick the next day. I love it! It feels like you’re not wearing anything on your lips. It doesn’t dry your lips, great to use without a primer. The colour is a matte nude shade which compliments my olive skin tone. It stayed on all day from 8am-6pm, I didn’t have to reapply, I had my lunch, coffee and an icelollly and it stayed put. As I said earlier I usually buy lipsticks from another brand which are 4 times the price of this one, not any more, I’m going to continue purchasing this product. Brilliant prompt delivery. Very pleased

Well, I will commence by saying that as an old male curmudgeon, I have never worn lipstick and am not about to start now. However my long suffering wife had previously worn fairly pallid and fairly boring lipstick. However, after umpteen glasses of red wine (and my suggestion of mystery and intrigue) was eventually persuaded that she might try something more dramatic. So, this appeared for her as a Christmas stocking filler and frankly the effect was better than I expected, both because it works wonderfully as a contrast to her blonde hair and because we are now frolicking around like a pair of rabbits on steroids. Phwooooooaaaaar !!!

I absolutely loved this set. Its very hard when you wear reds to find perfect matches in lipliner and lipstick, so to have both in the same shade is fantastic.The kit comes in a padded black jiffy bag, you get the lipliner, lipstick, lipgloss, setting powder and i also had a sample pack of micellar water.The lipliner and lipstick are post box red, absolutely gorgeous, once applied and set with the setting powder my lips stayed red all day long. The lipliner by the way is a twist up product and its quite thick and creamy and you will get the best effects by blending it downwards into the lips.

My other half really likes this set and whilst a lot of people tend to think that they only need a lipstick, finding a set that will help to accenuate your natural lips is a dream for a lot of ladies. Coming with a good lip liner, this helps reduce the bleed effect of the lipstick and whilst its more of a going out colour, it is a colour that stays rich throughout the night. Add to this a good powder to help set the lipstick and a gloss that will add a little extra depth and my other half is more than happy. The only downside is that its not put together in nice packaging.
