The Smooth Sugar Clear Kiwi Face & Lip Scrub comes in a small tub which I thought wouldn't last very long (based on other brand scrubs use) but you don't need to use much each time!It said to use it on moistened skin, so after washing my face (with another brand facial wash), I dried my face off and used the scrub. I found doing my face in sections worked best as the scrub went on at first feeling like I was rubbing sand in my face (which automatically feels like you are doing a good job!), as you continue to rub in, the scrub almost melts into your skin and it changes from grit to a smooth soft slime (which sounds awful but it feels nice). It then washes off with warm water nicely. It also tastes nice too (from using on my lips). After my first use, my face was slightly pink after I left my shower. I found that my pores were enlarged, and I instantly could/had to remove some blackheads. So I wouldn't recommend using this immediately before going out! My skin felt more smooth and soft too.It said to use 3 times a week so I have being using every other day. Although I haven't had such the immediate need to remove blackheads afterwards, I have found that using the scrub seems to be bringing them to the surface so I expect that over time, they will be working their way out.On one occasion, I used the scrub on a damp face rather than a pratically dry (moistened) face, and found that it melted into my skin faster, so was less sand like. For me, I prefer the sand feel until it rubs in enough that it turns into a slime, as then I know I've been rubbing well enough.Since I have been using the scrub for a week, I haven't had any spots appear, but can't really comment as to whether it has prevented any blackheads. I am definitely more aware of the one's I have but do think they are "in a process" of coming out. My skin is softer for it though.Overall, I think this is a fantastic product and I highly recommend. It feels like it is really exfoliating my skin, and drawing the impurities to the surface. I feel after more continued use it will really help clear my skin. Now what I'd like to see, is a 3 part routine, so if L'Oreal could bring out a matching facial wash and moisturiser that work with each other, that would be the cherry on top! Finally I have found an exfoliator that isn't harsh on my skin and leaves it feeling refreshed and silky smooth! I adore everything about this sugar scrub, from it's addictive fruity & fresh scent that I simply cannot get enough of, to it's lovely texture ,which is like that of tiny non-sticky sugar crystals encased in a cool, refreshing & light weight gel. The fine sugar granules really exfoliate your skin and you can almost feel the dirt from within your skin being removed piece by piece all whilst being gentle upon your skin! Massage this sugar scrub into your face with some warm water & you are in for a real treat! It feels so pleasant and natural upon your skin and the sugars in the scrub begin to melt leaving a super smooth scrub on your face which resembles that of the feeling of your actual skin when you rinse the remaining scrub off- super smooth & radiant! I love that this scrub can also be used upon your lips. Not only did it taste great (I found it difficult attempting not to lick my lips with it on!) It also made my lips feel and look smooth and refined. Only having used the sugar scrub twice so far, I have already noticed a reduction of blackheads upon my face which I'm delighted about. I cannot praise the smooth sugar scrub enough. My face feels as though it is receiving top quality care & pampering at an affordable price to boot! I cannot wait to reapply the sugar scrub time & time again. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Having given up wearing lipstick some 20 - 30 years ago due to having a reaction (from all makes) which effects the colour of my lips and then the colour of the lipstick when offered this trial I thought I would 'give it a try' to see if todays formula didn't affect me.The selection of colours would not have been my choice - several where very red or deep brownish red which are not a good look on my pale, ageing skin!! I choose No 640 Erotique as I felt this was the lightest of the selection.I was impressed at how creamy and easy it went on. Not owning a lipliner I was also impressed how it kept its shape on my top lip and didn't 'bleed'. Unfortunately on my bottom lip at the lip line my lip expanded and even although it hadn't 'bled'made my lips look 'bottom heavy'. Unfortunately within seconds the colour changed to the horrible purplish red that it used to. I put on the Ultra Matte lip topcoat and this immediately lightened but this only lasted for a few minutes. After an hour I tried drinking from a glass and was impressed at how minimal the amount transferred. This lipstick lasted between 5 - 6 hours which was excellent for me (what I remember in the 'old days' I was lucky if it lasted 30 mins!!).I think for those who are fortunate enough to use lipstick this will certainly be one to try especially with the topcoat but unfortunately for me its back to no lipstick!! I am now fifty eight and I have been a fan of L'Oreal products since being a teenager and I especially love their lipsticks.  When I was given the chance to review this particular lipstick I jumped at the chance not having tried this lip colour range before.L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Magnetic Stones Matte Lipsticks are supplied in a classic lipstick barrel (matt black on the outer and silver on the inner barrel).  This range of lipsticks come in various fashionable shades and the one I received is called 'Voodoo'.The first thing I noticed when applying this lipstick was that it went on extremely smoothly and afterwards my lips felt wonderfully moisturised, the colour is a lovely matt soft earthy beige a really good colour to wear during the daytime.  I'm nearing sixty years of age and I find that matt lipsticks look much better on me than gloss lipsticks, but sometimes matt lipsticks can be drying to the lips ... it's nice to find a range of matt lipsticks that are as moisturising as this one is.This colour really suited my colouring (fair skinned, dark brown hair and blue eyes), it would also look good on fair skinned blondes.  I applied this lipstick and a finishing spray before I went out at 10am , I was out for a good five hours and during that time this lipstick did not need reapplying which meant I didn't have to keep touching up my lipstick throughout the day.Perfect.

I didn't get off to a great start with this lipstick, as it had an annoying security label that was difficult to remove and has left an ugly, sticky mark all down the side of the tube. In addition, once opened, the lipstick had quite a strong 'lipsticky' smell, which didn't please me. However, once I applied the lipstick I was much more impressed! The lipstick goes on easily and smoothly. It doesn't highlight cracks or imperfections in the lips, and gives a lovely matte finish that looks both luxurious and natural, and makes the lips look plump and healthy. It doesn't feel drying, and it has really impressive staying power. I found that after drinking from a glass of water, drinking from a mug of hot tea, brushing my teeth, and wiping my mouth with a tissue, the lipstick looked almost exactly the same as when I first applied it, with no deterioration in colour. There was very little transfer on the sides of the mug or glass either.Personally I found the shade a little bright for me - it's a very orangey coral colour. I might wear it more in summer, but in winter it's a bit over the top for my pale skin. However I would definitely try out other colours in this range, because the overall effect was great and the staying power was outstanding. Recommended.

Lipstick is easy and quick to apply. Has good pigmentation and is matte without being drying on the lips. It does have quite a strong, almost baby powder smell in the bullet, but does not smell like that on the lips. On initial application it is still fairly slippery and can transfer onto cups/glasses etc. After a while it still transfers some, but dries down and is slightly more powdery feeling when you touch it. Can imagine that it would hold up fairly well if eating something light but not sure how it would stand up to a full meal. As it’s highly pigmented, taking it off is not the easiest, I tried using a (cheap) makeup wipe and it made my mouth a smeary, stained mess, but a little bit of micellar water on a cotton pad worked really well and left no pigmentation behind. I have fairly pale skin, pale eyes and dark hair so Haute rouge worked well with my colouring, as it has a blueish undertone, but I think it work well on most skin tones – it’s a slightly darker, true red. Overall a nice, comfortable, well pigmented lipstick suitable for many skin tones. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I have never tried using a matte lipstick before, so was pleased to be able to try this Matte Addiction 640 Erotique lipstick in a lovely dark pink shade. Matte lips being all the rage at the moment, this was trendy and fun to wear. It gives a far more natural look, less intense than gloss, and elegant, but it is harder to wear, with a thicker texture which at my first attempt, looked a bit cakey and dry, but after another try, I found it gave quite a grown-up look which was quite pretty. You really do need a lip-liner, as advised, to pull this off, as the lips otherwise would be less defined than using a gloss lipstick. I found the best way was to apply a coat, blot it with a tissue and then apply a second coat.Matte lipstick does seem to stay on longer than a gloss and didn't need a touch up during the day. Really worth a try, if you, like me, have never ventured into matte territory before! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

L'Oréal======They are the largest cosmetics company in the world. They have loads of brands from Garnier, L'Oréal and have huge research facilities in respect of cosmetics. Just because they're the biggest doesn't mean they're the best. Equally, just because they're the biggest doesn't mean they're evil. I've tested loads of L'Oréal stuff ranging from WOW this should be on the NHS to Oh my golly gosh-this is dreadful.OK? Let's go..WHAT IS IT=========A nice deep lipstick. The listing has various colours and mine was a nice deep even colour.PROS=====Modern colourGood Brandlong lastingNot expensivehas a nice moisturising qualityno bleednot garishCONS=====The listing says color. As it's a French company it would be fine to say couleur or the English colour. But. Not. Color. (sorry for the rant.)OVERALL=======If you need a nice, moisturising lipstick that'll last, this is one to consider.

Colour under review: LavaI'm loving the trend for matte lipsticks - the colours are more vibrant, and the effect more flattering for me especially as I prefer a more natural base. The lipstick is scented - rather an old lady scent of parma violets, but that dissipates quite quickly. It applies easily either from the bullet or with a brush, and the pigmentation is excellent giving an intense shot of colour. The colour is more of an orange red than some of the product images suggest - it's more of a very deep coral than a true red - which isn't my favourite red, and will suit some colourings better than others. In wear, the colour both transfers to mugs and glasses but lasts well - however, after a full meal it did need reapplying. Despite being a matte finish, it wasn't drying and it was comfortable to wear all day.Overall, an excellent lipstick at a very good price

I haven't really used a matte lipstick before as I prefer a more creamy/glossy look so wasn't sure what to expect. The colour I had was Mahogany Studs which was a rich pinky brown, probably a little darker than my usual choice but suited me perfectly! This lipstick is very smooth and creamy and went on evenly with good coverage. One coat gave me the perfect colour which lasted all morning and through two coffees! Two coats gave a richer darker shade which was better for a night out. I expected this to be dry on my lips but it was smooth yet matte and no dryness at all. Really surprised and pleased with the look and feel. Easy to clean off and left lips feeling fine.Packaged in a sleek black case and it also smelled nice ( the sign of a good quality lipstick in my book).
