I bought this lipstick (in shade 630, Beige À Nu) purely due to how incredibly cheap it was after applying my 15% Subscribe & Save discount. I figured at worst it would prove useful for mixing with pink lipsticks I already own to create usable nude/MLBB shades. To my total surprise--and absolute delight!!--the colour & finish of this is as close a match as I've ever found to a (sadly) long discontinued shade of Boots No7 lipstick (RIP Savannah!). It was my go-to as a teenager who was just discovering that there were choices beyond Rimmel's infamously frosty Heather & Coffee Shimmers (what were we all thinking? Were we thinking at all??). I felt so put together, so very grown up whenever I applied it!And it looked good with EVERYTHING. Alas, all good things must come to an end & eventually it got cut from the No7 lineup.Over the years, finding a lipstick as close as possible to Savannah had become my "great white whale". I'd scour the shelves & trawl through swatches via image search on & off, never finding quite the right shade of tawny rose in combination with the desired level of sheen or opacity. But now my watch is ended!PROS:This excellent pink-brown, medium-depth nude is incredibly flattering on my fairly pale, neutral skin where most warmer nudes tend to wash me out. It has something between a cream & satin finish, applies smoothly, and is pigmented enough to provide adequate coverage in one pass while also being sufficiently lightweight & slick in texture to clean up any mistakes or smudges easily. In addition, the packaging for this limited edition version, seemingly produced as some kind of promotional tie-in to the Cannes Film Festival, while fully plastic & therefore lacking the heft of the sort of packaging used by a high-end/luxury brand, is actually rather unique & lovely to look at for a high street brand! Candy apple red with gold details & a faux marble look, the tube has the kind of flashy glamour that can very easily tip over into outright tacky when poorly executed. Here, thankfully, the designer has kept it clean & simple enough to allow a bit of fun with the finish!CONS:The staying power is just okay. You'll get maybe 3 hours or so before needing to reapply, but if you're planning on eating/drinking/smoking during that period, your lips have little to no chance of making it through your lunch break without a retouch; considering that's the most spirited criticism I can muster, and weighing that against the fact that it's so cheap, I can't find it in me to go too hard on this lipstick for its lack of longevity! I guess the distinctive, powdery fragrance that seems to pervade L'Oréal's entire lipstick range might seem off-puttingly dated to some but I find it fairly inoffensive. It does linger for a good while post-application though, so worth taking into account if you're particularly averse to heavily scented products.

L'Oréal Paris Colour Riche Lipstick in "VIOLET SATURN" No 214There are occasions when what you see is not exactly what you get, and this is one such item! At first sight, this looks to be a fairly dark colour lipstick but "VIOLET SATURN" is a much more natural shade in use.1st Impressions:• The Lipstick is tamper-proof sealed with a peel back label which shows the list of ingredients (you will need a magnifying glass). The lipstick has the traditional 'twist up' style action.• The pale satin gold casing to the Lipstick is very, very classy and smart, with a shiny gold engraved centre band.• Pull off the cap and the twist up action of the lipstick is sure, smooth and steady. When fully retracted back again, the actual lipstick does not sit up 'proud' but lies level with the top, so it is not susceptible to damage when re-capping the lid.• The lipstick cap snaps on and clicks into place, and feels firm enough not to come apart in your bag.• Engraved on the top of the cap is the lipstick shade number (so if you love it you have that reference) and underneath the end is a sticker giving the lipstick name range, shade name and number. In use:• The colour of the lipstick ("VIOLET SATURN" No 214) is a very pretty mid Rose Pink, like a gorgeous summer rose in the garden, with an additional subtle and discrete sparkly finish. There is a good amount of colour and is by no means a very pale lip colour.• It is easy to apply from the stick, or with a lip brush. The lipstick has a traditional point to it and a tear drop shaped smooth side.• Once on, it felt very smooth and moisturising with no cloying or sticky feeling.• There is hardly any fragrance to the lipstick, just a really vague powdery type scent.• The lipstick has no real 'taste' – nothing to dislike or that is particularly noticeable.• I applied the 1st coat, blotted and applied a second coat. There was next to nothing left on the rim of a cup after a first drink. As the day went on the lipstick did disappear and did not have much stain to it, to give a lot of lasting colour. The lipstick did not 'bleed' or come off on my teeth (natural or otherwise!!)• For any ladies who like to use a pencil Lip Liner before applying lipstick, L'Oréal Colour Riche Couture Lip Liner "BOIS DE ROSE" Shade NO 302, is perfect to go with this lipstick. It is like it is tailor made!To sum up:-• This is a reasonably priced lipstick. I had no allergic reaction to the product, and I just love this colour. It suits my pale complexion and older age group. (Not as dark a colour on the skin as it looks in the photos) It is a great shade for all year round and is flattering.• At an RRP of £6.99 it is great value from the tried and trusted L'Oréal cosmetic collection.

L'Oréal Paris Collection Privée Color Riche Lipstick in "EVA'S NUDE"I have found that as the years have gone by, I tend to lean towards a more 'natural' colour Lipstick, rather than the stronger colours that the young ladies seem to go for these days."EVA'S NUDE" is a natural looking shade in the L'Oréal Paris Collection -Privée Color Riche Lipstick range.1st Impressions:• The Lipstick is tamper-proof sealed and has the traditional 'twist up' style action.• The casing to the Lipstick is very, very classy and smart, with a peach-skin feel to it. It is all finished off with gold writing and a shiny gold band.• Pull off the cap and the twist up action of the lipstick is sure, smooth and steady. When fully retracted back again, the actual lipstick does not sit up 'proud' but lies level with the top, so it is not susceptible to damage when re-capping the lid.• The lipstick cap snaps on and clicks into place, and feels firm enough not to come apart in your bag.In use:• The colour of the lipstick ("EVA'S NUDE") is a very pretty light Rose Pink, with a hint of Coral and a subtle shimmery finish. There is a reasonable amount of colour and it is by no means a 'nude' or very pale lip colour.• It is easy to apply from the stick, or with a lip brush. The lipstick has a traditional point to it and a tear drop shaped smooth side.• Once on, it felt very smooth and reasonably moisturising with no cloying or sticky feeling.• There is hardly any fragrance to the lipstick, just a really vague baby powder type scent.• The lipstick has no real 'taste' – perhaps just a hint of Parma Violet sweets, but it really is scarcely noticeable.• I did find that a minimal amount lipstick was left on the rim of a cup after a first drink. As the day went on the lipstick did disappear and did not have any real stain to it, to give lasting colour. To sum up:-• This is a reasonably priced lipstick. I had no allergic reaction to the product, and the colour suited my pale complexion and older age group. (Not as dark a colour on the skin as it looks in the photos)• At an RRP of £6.99 it is a good value product from the long established and well known brand of L'Oréal.

I received my Color Riche Lipstick for free from L'Oreal - it is the Blake's Pure Red colour which is a deep, fairly dark, hot-pinkish red so it would suit both fair and darker complexions and hair colours.Firstly, I'll talk about the packaging, because that's something that I'm always drawn to. The lipstick is packaged beautifully, in a black tube with a gold rim and gold writing on the front (see the photo). the lipstick tube is incredibly tactile with a smooth and expensive feel, which gives the brand a look and feel of prestige and class. The tube is twisted to release the lipstick (as with most lipsticks) and it extracts seamlessly.I applied the lipstick both directly and then the second time using a lip brush,as that is how I would usually apply lipstick. When using the lipstick directly, it is easy to apply and glides smoothly across the lips; I only had to apply one coat on each lip and I had full coverage. This is not a high gloss finish, instead it has a matt finish, which I personally prefer as the light doesn't reflect off it. I had the same finish when applying with a lip brush. My favourite thing about the lipstick (other than the colour) is that it lasts for quite a long time without the need to reapply. When I first applied it, it was 11am and I didn't need to reapply until almost 2pm, and that was after some toast and a cup of tea! This is great news for anyone that doesn't like constant trips to the make-up station on a night out...The only reason I knocked off a star from the five star rating is because I find it dries out my lips quite quickly, and I needed to apply lip balm over the top so that they didn't feel too dry once the lipstick started to fade. This is a small price to pay for finding a good lipstick though and it certainly won't put me off purchasing it in the future.Top marks overall, and certainly a brand I would use myself and recommend to friends and family. I received this color Riche 302 lipstick free from l'oreal and have now worn it on several occasions - night out, day wear and meals out. I have mixed reviews of this product but the good outweigh the bad.The packaging (case whatever you want to call it) is a little boring in my case and reminds me of a lipstick my grandmother would pull out of her little lilac purse. Having said that is there anything better than a fresh lipstick?! All girls know the answer to that one!My night out review comes in two halves - the without liner and the with liner. Without I found this lipstick didn't have as much staying power and didn't bleed a little however with a strong liner that matches it creates a much better look that lasts longer.I did not have to reapply too often throughout the night and I wasn't worried about patchiness when I had lip liner on which was great. In photos it's a lovely Matt colour that's not too bold and in your face but is a very flattering colour.Day wear review - I found this lipstick quite hard to wear lightly and found heavy application led to better and long lasting results. I was complimented on the colour and how very evenly it was applied (with a liner)Meal out review - I wasn't a fan. I hate lipsticks that leave your lips on the wine glass it's not classy and it looks like you're wearing too much so I don't think I would wear this that often on meals out as I felt like it disappeared the more I ate! Straws on a night out not a problem.. But a wine glass not so good!!There's one aspect I love. The smell and flavour on your lips. Not too chemical not too flavoured but you know it almost adds something to your personal aroma!Overall I love the colour and Matt effect of this lipstick and it leaves a real perfect pout on a night out.. It's not one you can just pop on before you head out as it does wear better with a liner - but it's worth the effort I promise! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Lipstick - Violet Saturn (No. 214)=== OVERALL ===This is a lovely lipstick that leaves my lips feeling moisturised and where the colour stays on well. The packaging is sleek and elegant in a pale golden colour and feels good quality; the internal golden twist-up barrel feels sturdy and is covered by a metallic cap that clicks securely into place, so it's safe to carry around in your handbag. The colour is a pinky peachy nude with a slight shimmer, suitable for daytime or, for the evening, contrasting against a dark smokey-eyed look.=== IN MORE DETAIL ===There are three qualities I look for in a lip colour product, namely:COLOUR - The colour is a pinky peachy nude with a slight shimmer, suitable for daytime or, for the evening, constrasting against a dark smokey-eyed look. The colour on the lips is slightly paler than the colour on the lipstick itself when looking at it in the tube.FEEL ON THE LIPS - Lipstick must feel smooth on application and not dry the lips out as some products do. This L'Oreal lipstick goes on beautifully smoothly and leaves my lips feeling moisturised (though not quite as much as my favourite Laura Mercier lipstick, but it's a fraction of the price).COLOUR STAYING POWER - If a lip product is too hard, it can be drying, but too soft and the colour can wear off quickly. This colour stayed on well, although the middle part did wear slightly after I'd had a drink and eaten a full meal. For maximum staying power, I use a lip pencil around the outline of my lips to stop colour bleeding, apply the lipstick with a lip brush, press the lips together for a second or two to melt the lipstick into the lips then apply a second coat; otherwise I just slap the lip colour on as I go and that's easy to do with this lipstick as it's shaped at an angle at the end.For sale at the time of writing this review at £6.99.

This exclusive edition red is a proper Golden age of Hollywood red, bold, slightly blue toned to avoid orange-tomato you would imagine gracing the pouts of Marilyn Monroe, Rita Hayworth , Lauren Bacall and more. It's a proper true blockbuster red lip and an appropriate choice for Amazons pairing with the Cannes film festival. The bullet is carved with Cannes repeating around the whole length (see picture) it's a nice exclusive touch along with the White marbled red case decorated with the Palm d'or logo of Cannes that makes it feel more than just a reissue of a back catalogue colour as a limited edition shade there's something extra put into the design. The other aspect that shows a little difference is the strong beeswax scent from the bullet, it's a nostalgic scent from older formulations of lipsticks, a smell that takes me straight back to sneaking into my grandmother's bedroom and playing with her lipsticks as a child. This is a shade I've seen before (over the years) in different formats from L'oreal so it's not an amazingly new colour but the effort here makes it a nice treat and something you'd be more than happy to pull out to top up in public with. The colour is that universal red that adapts to suit most skintones, on me (super pale cool toned with pink undertones) it's a raspberry red that is leaning more blue and deeper than a 'pillar box' red. It's got good lasting power too, the stronger beeswax gives a good cling and cushiony satin finish but the strong pigment stains the lips too, which makes it more wearable in casual settings that you may feel out of place with a super bold lip it blots down to a just-bitten bloom which is gorgeous and also long lasting.Worth the fun of a limited edition addition to your collection and certainly wearable.

The Colour Riche Lipstick (Berry Blush) wears like a luxury lip balm.Colour: On me, it ALMOST looks nude. It looks like I have nothing on - except the very slight tint. I picked the colour because of my skin tone - I tend to use berries and reds. It looks like a nice lip balm with a HINT (a lot of emphasis on the word hint) of colour and shimmer. It looks shimmery and on me, the colour is faint (however, this is something I really like).Moisture: It does moisturize my lips and lasts for a good while. It feels creamy and did not dry out. It feels great.Wear: I can wear it without a mirror which for me is great because I am not worrying about smudging, weird 'above lip' lines etc...My lips tingled (pleasantly) a bit when I first wore it. I am not sure if this was supposed to happen as it moisturizes your lips.Smell: It smells great. It has a floral scent. I was expecting it to smell like berries.Look/Package: Very pretty and sophisticated case. It is gold darling, very nice.Taste: It is not sweet to taste but it is not unpleasant. you taste it when you talk. This is why I included it here.Overall: It does not wear as a lipstick but like a high end luxury lip balm. I will purchase it when I run out and may try other colours. Also, the stick of the tube tended to smudge on the sides of the tube. I gave it a 4* because it is called a lipstick but does not feel like a lipstick. If this was presented to me as a lip balm, I would give it 7*. If I had a fairer complexion, it may look different. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

So, as any girl, I was so excited when I received my free L'Oréal lipstick through the post. On first impressions, I thought it looked very elegant and expensive. Had a dippy moment when it came to opening it. It looks as if there's a hinge that flips the lid back, but.. nope, it pulls off completely. Was impressed with the pale rose colour. If you have a pale skin tone like myself this is a great colour for you. It's not too dark, and gives a subtle hint of colour rather than looking like you've raided the jam jar. Perfect. It literally needed 3 strokes on the lips, 2 to shape the top lip and one straight across the bottom. Any more than that it became too creamy and unnatural looking. It has a great silky feel on the lips and wasn't too glossy. I was really happy with the lipstick until I looked in the mirror an hour or so later and discovered there wasn't much colour left on the lip. It seemed to disappear to too quick and needed reapplying a handful of times. I fear this would wear off before that 'Big Date' or 'important business meeting'. It's great if you have the time for touching up throughout the day but if you are looking for long lasting colour, you need to invest in a product to keep it in place. I love the colour, feel and look but am slightly disappointed on the lasting front. I'm not quite sure how likely I am to rush out to buy other colours which is a shame as it could be a fantastic lipstick if only it had the extra staying power most women want. Colour under review: Eva's NudeThe packaging for this is rather nice - matt black with gold trim and branding. I initially thought Eva's signature was a flower. it's quite logo like. (I have no idea who Eva is and it's not explained - I suppose she's an actress or model)The colour is a peachy/pinky beige, quite warm in tone - it was a very good match for my own natural lip colour. It has a good level of pigmentation and isn't overly glossy - in fact, there's a slight hint of frosting, which to me made it feel a little old fashioned - I would have preferred something more matte. I normally prefer a brighter lip (red or plum) so I was uncertain of this at first, but once I'd finished the rest of my makeup (brow definer, brown eyeliner, brown mascara) it had grown on me - I looked natural, but "finished". This is a great day time or casual lip colour to wear.It terms of durability, it was pretty good - I didn't need to repair it after lunch, but by the time it was my mid afternoon break, it needed touching up. Of course, being nude, it's not obvious to others when it does need repair, so it's a good choice of colour if you're having a busy day!The one thing it's lost a star for is its fragrance - it smells and tastes very strongly at first - it reminds me of parma violets, and I have always loathed parma violets! It wears off quickly, thankfully. Again - like the frosting - it struck me as rather old fashioned for such a contemporary product.Good product, good price.

Shade 630, Beige au Nu is a mix of natural blush pink and the lightest brown rather than a nude beige, and it's perfect for my light Asian skin that I often have trouble finding pink-brown natural-looking shades for. This has a nice light scent that's a little old-fashioned, but that I like better than some overpoweringly scented lippies that are out there nowadays. It looks like a burnished brown when you twist the lippy up, and when wiped off on a white tissue it's the same, but trust me - once on, it's a definite rose-brown tint. It smoothes on beautifully, and I just needed to press my lips together for perfect coverage; only one coat on each lip was needed, so this is good value for money.Boy,does it last - it didn't need reapplying until after lunch, and lasted through 2 cups of coffee, a fried breakfast (a treat for Xmas!), some fruit, a salad lunch, and about 4 cups of water. There was very little transference to mugs or plastic cups and yet when I wiped the colour away to reapply, I didn't need to scrub. It doesn't dry lips out and doesn't have that 'tight' look that some matte shades can give, making your lips look lined/wrinkly.The outer packaging is classy: a slightly burnished pale gold metal tube that closes with a satisfying click and that doesn't open too easily so that it'd come loose in a bag, and yet that doesn't need yanking to open it.

I don’t wear lipstick very often, only really when I have a night out. I’ve tried a few brands over the years and various shades but I have found it difficult to find shades that suit me. When the opportunity came up to try out a Color Riche lipstick for free from L'Oréal I couldn’t say no. I decided I wanted to test out the lipstick in Blake’s Red. I’ve never found a shade of red that really suited me…until now. I absolutely love this colour and feel like I actually really suited it!The packaging is simple and elegant in black with gold trim. It immediately makes the lipstick look more like a designer brand. The little clasp on the lid of the lipstick was great too as the lid stayed on well and would be quite difficult to fall off whilst rolling about at the bottom of your handbag. The colour was a gorgeous deep red and it smelled quite nice too. It went on easily and stayed on all night once the initial wear off of excess lipstick had happened. I’m good at putting on lipstick before I head out for a night out on the town but can often forget to keep putting it on as the night wears on so this lipstick was ideal for me. There was still even some left on the next morning. In short, I absolutely love this lipstick and shall now be using it regularly (well, on all my nights out!) I was excited to try the 'Color Riche Lipstick' I received free from L'Oreal to review. I chose to try colour 258, Berry Blush and when it arrived I was immediately impressed at how it looked as the packaging looks great and the gold case is sleek, classic and eye-catching. Applying the lipstick I was really struck by how smooth is was to apply and how moisturizing it felt. Even when reapplying throughout the day it still felt smooth and didn't dry out my lips unlike other lipsticks.Once applied the colour was a little lighter than I had expected compared to the colour in the case but had a good matte finish to it and a nice looking shimmer to it.I found the colour worked well against dark eyeshadows and liner as it was quite a subtle finish.I also really enjoyed the mechanism on the casing, the lid has to clip into place with a small locking joint which meant it was fantastic for throwing in my handbag or makeup bag as I found it didn't come undone at any point. The only downside I found to the lipstick was its staying power, it unfortunately came off quite easily especially on glasses and mugs so did require quite a few reapplications. I found using it with a liner meant it stayed on for longer, but it would have been nice for to have slightly better staying power. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Since my wedding day back in 2014 I have started wearing lipsticks, and I now have quite a collection. Therefore I was very excited when the invitation to the L'oréal colour riche lipstick pinged into my inbox. I was even more excited that I got to choose my own colour! I picked 302 as I have a colour similar that I love but it has shimmer so it's definitely a 'going out' lipstick. I had been looking for a colour almost the same minus the shimmer and I think I've found it! This is the first L'oréal lipstick I have tried, I'm not usually a fan of their makeup. I love the packaging design, the cream/gold colour looks sleek and expensive. The application is very smooth,it almost feels like applying a lip balm not a lipstick. It makes your lips feel soft and moisturised without leaving a tacky feeling on your lips. The colour lasts reasonably well, with application needed every few hours or so. This was without a lip liner base which would probably make it last longer. Overall I am very happy with the product, it's my birthday this weekend and this will be my lippy of choice when I'm celebrating! I might even treat myself to another shade! The attached photos were taken 2 hours apart to show how the colour lasts. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
