I bought this lipstick (in shade 630, Beige À Nu) purely due to how incredibly cheap it was after applying my 15% Subscribe & Save discount. I figured at worst it would prove useful for mixing with pink lipsticks I already own to create usable nude/MLBB shades. To my total surprise--and absolute delight!!--the colour & finish of this is as close a match as I've ever found to a (sadly) long discontinued shade of Boots No7 lipstick (RIP Savannah!). It was my go-to as a teenager who was just discovering that there were choices beyond Rimmel's infamously frosty Heather & Coffee Shimmers (what were we all thinking? Were we thinking at all??). I felt so put together, so very grown up whenever I applied it!And it looked good with EVERYTHING. Alas, all good things must come to an end & eventually it got cut from the No7 lineup.Over the years, finding a lipstick as close as possible to Savannah had become my "great white whale". I'd scour the shelves & trawl through swatches via image search on & off, never finding quite the right shade of tawny rose in combination with the desired level of sheen or opacity. But now my watch is ended!PROS:This excellent pink-brown, medium-depth nude is incredibly flattering on my fairly pale, neutral skin where most warmer nudes tend to wash me out. It has something between a cream & satin finish, applies smoothly, and is pigmented enough to provide adequate coverage in one pass while also being sufficiently lightweight & slick in texture to clean up any mistakes or smudges easily. In addition, the packaging for this limited edition version, seemingly produced as some kind of promotional tie-in to the Cannes Film Festival, while fully plastic & therefore lacking the heft of the sort of packaging used by a high-end/luxury brand, is actually rather unique & lovely to look at for a high street brand! Candy apple red with gold details & a faux marble look, the tube has the kind of flashy glamour that can very easily tip over into outright tacky when poorly executed. Here, thankfully, the designer has kept it clean & simple enough to allow a bit of fun with the finish!CONS:The staying power is just okay. You'll get maybe 3 hours or so before needing to reapply, but if you're planning on eating/drinking/smoking during that period, your lips have little to no chance of making it through your lunch break without a retouch; considering that's the most spirited criticism I can muster, and weighing that against the fact that it's so cheap, I can't find it in me to go too hard on this lipstick for its lack of longevity! I guess the distinctive, powdery fragrance that seems to pervade L'Oréal's entire lipstick range might seem off-puttingly dated to some but I find it fairly inoffensive. It does linger for a good while post-application though, so worth taking into account if you're particularly averse to heavily scented products.

L'Oréal Paris Collection Privée Color Riche Lipstick in "EVA'S NUDE"I have found that as the years have gone by, I tend to lean towards a more 'natural' colour Lipstick, rather than the stronger colours that the young ladies seem to go for these days."EVA'S NUDE" is a natural looking shade in the L'Oréal Paris Collection -Privée Color Riche Lipstick range.1st Impressions:• The Lipstick is tamper-proof sealed and has the traditional 'twist up' style action.• The casing to the Lipstick is very, very classy and smart, with a peach-skin feel to it. It is all finished off with gold writing and a shiny gold band.• Pull off the cap and the twist up action of the lipstick is sure, smooth and steady. When fully retracted back again, the actual lipstick does not sit up 'proud' but lies level with the top, so it is not susceptible to damage when re-capping the lid.• The lipstick cap snaps on and clicks into place, and feels firm enough not to come apart in your bag.In use:• The colour of the lipstick ("EVA'S NUDE") is a very pretty light Rose Pink, with a hint of Coral and a subtle shimmery finish. There is a reasonable amount of colour and it is by no means a 'nude' or very pale lip colour.• It is easy to apply from the stick, or with a lip brush. The lipstick has a traditional point to it and a tear drop shaped smooth side.• Once on, it felt very smooth and reasonably moisturising with no cloying or sticky feeling.• There is hardly any fragrance to the lipstick, just a really vague baby powder type scent.• The lipstick has no real 'taste' – perhaps just a hint of Parma Violet sweets, but it really is scarcely noticeable.• I did find that a minimal amount lipstick was left on the rim of a cup after a first drink. As the day went on the lipstick did disappear and did not have any real stain to it, to give lasting colour. To sum up:-• This is a reasonably priced lipstick. I had no allergic reaction to the product, and the colour suited my pale complexion and older age group. (Not as dark a colour on the skin as it looks in the photos)• At an RRP of £6.99 it is a good value product from the long established and well known brand of L'Oréal.

This exclusive edition red is a proper Golden age of Hollywood red, bold, slightly blue toned to avoid orange-tomato you would imagine gracing the pouts of Marilyn Monroe, Rita Hayworth , Lauren Bacall and more. It's a proper true blockbuster red lip and an appropriate choice for Amazons pairing with the Cannes film festival. The bullet is carved with Cannes repeating around the whole length (see picture) it's a nice exclusive touch along with the White marbled red case decorated with the Palm d'or logo of Cannes that makes it feel more than just a reissue of a back catalogue colour as a limited edition shade there's something extra put into the design. The other aspect that shows a little difference is the strong beeswax scent from the bullet, it's a nostalgic scent from older formulations of lipsticks, a smell that takes me straight back to sneaking into my grandmother's bedroom and playing with her lipsticks as a child. This is a shade I've seen before (over the years) in different formats from L'oreal so it's not an amazingly new colour but the effort here makes it a nice treat and something you'd be more than happy to pull out to top up in public with. The colour is that universal red that adapts to suit most skintones, on me (super pale cool toned with pink undertones) it's a raspberry red that is leaning more blue and deeper than a 'pillar box' red. It's got good lasting power too, the stronger beeswax gives a good cling and cushiony satin finish but the strong pigment stains the lips too, which makes it more wearable in casual settings that you may feel out of place with a super bold lip it blots down to a just-bitten bloom which is gorgeous and also long lasting.Worth the fun of a limited edition addition to your collection and certainly wearable.

Colour under review: Eva's NudeThe packaging for this is rather nice - matt black with gold trim and branding. I initially thought Eva's signature was a flower. it's quite logo like. (I have no idea who Eva is and it's not explained - I suppose she's an actress or model)The colour is a peachy/pinky beige, quite warm in tone - it was a very good match for my own natural lip colour. It has a good level of pigmentation and isn't overly glossy - in fact, there's a slight hint of frosting, which to me made it feel a little old fashioned - I would have preferred something more matte. I normally prefer a brighter lip (red or plum) so I was uncertain of this at first, but once I'd finished the rest of my makeup (brow definer, brown eyeliner, brown mascara) it had grown on me - I looked natural, but "finished". This is a great day time or casual lip colour to wear.It terms of durability, it was pretty good - I didn't need to repair it after lunch, but by the time it was my mid afternoon break, it needed touching up. Of course, being nude, it's not obvious to others when it does need repair, so it's a good choice of colour if you're having a busy day!The one thing it's lost a star for is its fragrance - it smells and tastes very strongly at first - it reminds me of parma violets, and I have always loathed parma violets! It wears off quickly, thankfully. Again - like the frosting - it struck me as rather old fashioned for such a contemporary product.Good product, good price.

Let's start with the packaging as that is what you see first. This is a little different from most of L'Oreal's others with the bold red case carrying gold embellishments which have a premium look. Definitely a good look for taking out of a handbag when in company. In application it goes on well from the bullet but as with any red lipstick does need accurate application, Using a brush and liner would be the ideal to achieve that accuracy. On the skin it is neither oily nor drying, with the satin gel finish ensuring comfort in use. Definitely one which is fine to reapply without fear of skin damage. Longevity is just average, a true red with the blue undertones which make it most suitable for fairer skins/complexions.There's a hint of sparkle running through it which is subtle rather than bling, that gentle shimmer which sometimes is most noticeable when you finally remove it!Overall the pigment is good, the product stands up well against some more expensive lipsticks, but it just lacks that little bit of x-factor to make it a go-to product which just has to be repurchased. Sorry but that makes it a 4* product.Attached are a couple of photos - one under artificial light and the other with flash on. Hope that helps.

This is a sleek matt-finished little number, with gold detailed casing that makes it glamorous from the get-go. The colour on me is a slightly frosty pink, which is not a shade I usually go for (bright, rich colours suit me better -- my natural skin tone is medium-brown). I expected it to be a little darker, but it's not bad and has a lovely pearly sheen. It goes on nice and easy (primer underneath makes it even smoother), and the colour holds pretty well for several hours, even through a meal. If you need to wear it all day, I'd touch it up once or twice. This is a nice everyday colour, perhaps for slightly lighter complexions ideally, but I think you can still rock it with my colouring,if the rest of your look matches! It might even be better for evenings, with that pearlescence that comes out best in low light. The colour it shows as on my screen is just a little lighter than it looks in real life -- it's the tricky thing about buying makeup online, that you can't really see the precise colour until it's in your hands and you've tried it on. If at all possible, I'd recommend buyers find a way of checking out the colour somewhere, unless you don't mind the possibility of variation between screen and reality.

A designer looking lipstick, the case looks classy and the colour wonderful. I say wonerdful as a colour that goes with anything, a beige shade it’s classed as but to my mind more of one with light brown mauve undertones. One that would blend nicely with wearing orange clothing through to pinks. So for me a good one to keep in make up,and use everyday. Especially good if going away and needing a multifunction coloured lipstick. Did this wonderful product stay on and not bleed into outer lip, area is the main thing as well. It did stay on throughout the day and my lips didn’t feel dry and no feathering or bleeding into outer corners of lips.Does have writing etched into the actual lipstick when you twist it up saying Cannes as obviously released for the red carpet. Also I found didn’t make lips look older by defining any creases so would buy it.Update this lipstick has to be my favourite one this season, goes with any colour combination outfit and stays put. No dried out lips and the shape of it seems to keep even when used about half way down now. Yes I would buy this one love it. If could give more than five stars I would as it’s a suit any skin tone one too.

This is a very traditionally styled lipstick, presented in a glam retro-effect tube in a mottled red plastic that resembles Bakelite and is decorated with a Palme d'Or image. The overall effect is designed to invoke red carpet glamour. The 'Red Carpet' shade is very close to the base red of the tube itself: a vivid, dramatic slash of colour. Upon opening it, the lipstick has a really traditional lipstick smell - it smells just like the lipsticks my grandma used to let me play with when I was little, and it does retain this scent when applied. The lipstick itself is embossed along the sides with the word 'Cannes' - to be honest,I'm not hugely keen on this as it seems to make the sides of the lipstick more prone to catching on the inside of the tube than a regular lipstick which, with a colour this bright gets a bit messy. The lipstick applies easily and smoothly, and retains a sparkly sheen, giving good, vivid coverage. It does bleed a little, which with such a vivid colour is definitely noticeable, and transfers a lot so is probably best used in conjunction with a sealer and a lip liner.

This lipstick looks really stylish in it's black and gold case, but it's the lipstick itself that I love. It is a really nice quality lipstick - not at all drying like many lipsticks, even after use all day - it feels smooth as it goes on, gives an even layer of colour and leaves my lips feeling hydrated and kissable! The colour is quite like the colour in the picture on my lips, but when you look at the lipstick in the case it looks darker than when applied. It gives a smooth colour with a hint of glisten to it - not sparkly, just a little sheen. The colour is a great one on me - although it has a browner base than some pinks, this just helps it to give it a really natural look - it enhances my lips, with its pink brown shade. I have pale, but freckled skin, green eyes and dark hair and this shade looks really natural, whilst making my lips look amazing. It's versatile, great for daytime wear or for a more intense look, with a lip-liner in the evenings. I particularly like this lipstick when I am going for bold eye make-up and want my lips to look great, but not overdo the colour!

Review 1 - Beige:Without a doubt, one of the best nude lipstick i have ever had. It looks nothing like the picture shown either. I have tried many, they are always too fake looking or too pink, too glossy, but this is perfect. I have attached a picture to show the shade on me.It comes in a lovely tube, the lipstick is creamy and soft, easy to apply straight from the tube, and lasted a good 6 hours before i touched it up.Review 2 - Red Carpet:I absolutely love this. Its a gorgeous shade of red, and suits my skin tone perfectly. Its a normal lipstick, which i prefer as i can use a lipbrush. The printing on the lipstick itself adds a touch of glamour and the tubes are just lovely.Ive attached 2 picture's to show you the colour in real life. All lipsticks look different on everyone due to individual skintone. It is one sweep over the lips straight from the tube, blotted, no lipliner so a bit smudgy, but the colour is gorgeous. It feels smooth and silky on the lips, but like all red lipstick it will stain and make your teeth yellower.I love this one, would buy it again.

L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Lipstick is a beautifully packaged lipstick and with the bonus of the lipstick providing a lovely vibrant colour which lasts. I applied it evenly twice and with each layer, I blotted using a clean tissue. The lipstick was a lovely soft smooth lipstick which I did enjoy wearing as it felt very moisturising on my lips which lasted all day, I did not have to apply any added moisturiser or any other lip balms to keep my lips in good condition as this lipstick provided me with everything I needed. The colours are strong and vibrant, and I loved how the actual lipstick once applied looked and felt good, there was no stickiness or tacky feeling to the lipstick.I did reapply a couple of times throughout the day which for me was a pleasure as it really is a lovely lipstick to apply. The design of this lipstick has a very premium quality to it which includes the top-class quality of the lipstick as well as the casing.Happy to recommend L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Lipstick.

To get a very young view on this, I asked our 12 year old grand-daughter to try it out (naturally she’s not a regular make-up user, though she has used a bit of lipstick before). She was impressed by the attractive casing. She found it easy to apply, saying this was helped by having more of a point than some lipsticks, and to twist up. She liked the colour, feeling it suited her skin colour (fair), and thought that the luminescent effect was successful and looked natural. It wipes off easily with firm pressure of a tissue. Overall, a type of lipstick she’d be happy to use again.Additional observations from my wife:“It stayed put after blotting and continued to shine quite a while after application. It closes with a firm action which by default would mean that the lid stays put in your handbag. The colour in the tube did not look nude at all but when applied it works perfectly and there was no definitive colour, just a lovely pearlescent sheen.”

I love red lipsticks, and have quite the collection. This is one of the best. The packaging is very glam, of red marbled plastic with a Palme D'Or logo. The top clicks closed onto the base, so no worries about marks in a handbag or makeup bag.The bullet of colour is marked "Cannes" around it - interesting, but ultimately pointless. The texture of the lipstick is very smooth, and applies with a satin finish so not overly glossy. It fills the lips well, and doesn't feather or bleed. Pigmentation is excellent. There's a fragrance of parma violets on application, which I dislike although I'm getting used to it now in L'Oreal products. It does disperse reasonably quickly. The colour lasts pretty well for a satin lipstick, especially if blotted and re-applied, although your glasses and cups will get marked! The colour is a lovely true red, which should suit most skin tones.Overall an excellent lipstick, especially at the price point.

This L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Lipstick, Red Carpet, Number 357, Cannes Edition makes a brilliant impact. The fact that it is an Amazon Exclusive means you can only buy it there/The packaging's theme is red.... Make that very red.The Colour and number are clearly shown on base.Where the lipstick scores are on the presentation stage. On the barrel is a smart bold gold fern/leaf motif together with a gold band. It looks classy.Twist the barrel and you can read 'Cannes' imprinted in the lipstick all around time and time again. But looks or rather the packaging isn't everything this lipstick has a bright, scarlet colour that is stunning. There is no other word for it.Believe me, this lipstick is a stunner, bright deep and rich.Beware if you are lucky to get kissed the imprint lasts.Lipstick on your collar really will show.

The packaging of this lipstick looks really classy and expensive, with a soft-touch black case and shiny gold accents. The lipstick itself is easy to apply and looks very smooth when applied - it doesn't emphasise cracks in your lips like some lipsticks do. It feels soft and moisturising, and it has good staying power. As it is a nude shade, it is not a very strong or vibrant colour, but it has a pleasant sheen. I found the lipstick to be quite a lot darker than it looks on the picture when seen in the tube, but when it goes on it appears lighter. However it is definitely more of a brown colour than the pinky shade shown on here, and so in my opinion it is not so great for those of us with fair skin and blonde hair.I would buy a lipstick from this range again, but I wouldn't pick this colour now that I've seen it in person.
