I normally use a different primer from the same brand Maybelline so I enjoyed the opportunity to try out other ones. The pore minimising primer with blurring powders is a thick, quite dry cream that absorbs easily into the skin and gives a mattifying appearance. It's also quite moisturising and I find I don't need to apply an additional moisturiser before application. I use this primer first and then apply my foundation. I love using a primer as it keeps my make up in place and hides imperfections. I also find that this one keeps my make up in place longer. Think of it as a poly filler!! I would definitely buy this again. This anti-redness with neutralizing pigments is a thinner, runnier cream that resembles moisturiser more than a normal primer. It absorbs easily into the skin and gives a mattifying appearance same as the other product. It's also very moisturising and you won't need to apply an additional moisturiser before application. I use this primer first and then apply my foundation. But because it's quite creamy, you need to give it time to dry before applying more make up and foundation. This particular product is designed for skin that gets red easily. The green tint in the cream counters the redness and mattifies the skin. Because I prefer a more oiler primer, it's not my favourite product but it does do what it is designed for and if you do suffer from skin redness you will probably love this. As a 30ml tube both products have lasted for ages too.(In the photo the TOP one is PORE MINIMISER and for comparison the BOTTOM one is Anti-redness).

I'm comparing this to my usual Benefit or Stila primers so bearing in mind they cost around 3 times as much as this Maybelline one, I am pleasantly surprised. I received the green colour correcting primer and applied the primer to half my face. Given that I took the photo in 29 degree heat, I was impressed at the primer's colour correcting and pore blurring properties. In the photo, I have no makeup on and nothing on my face except for moisturiser. You can see that although the primer alone doesn't fully camouflage redness, especially on my forehead, it does reduce the appearance of pores and red veins on my cheek.I particularly like the small nozzle on the tube as a little primer goes a long way.It goes on smoothly (in fact more smoothly than Benefit's Porefessional which sometimes flakes off) and has stayed silky and matte for over 5 hours so far, without giving me an oily t-zone.Foundation went on smoothly over the top too which is impressive for such a reasonably priced primer. The only reason for giving this 4 stars is that unlike my Stila primer which combines three primers into one (peach for brightening, green for redness control and lavender for dark circles) this does only correct redness so if you also want the benefits from the pink and clear Maybelline primers, you'd have to buy all three (in which case, I'd go for the Stila). However, if you just want redness correction, smaller looking pores and a matte effect, this is excellent for the price.

I'm really impressed with this high street budget friendly primer, it's nice and smoothing prepping the skin for better grip and finish of any concealing or foundation product and even if you are not wearing makeup it has blurring particles in it which help to Facetune your face live by creating a optical illusion micro blur- basically it discourages total focus on the areas applied by bouncing the light in different directions, imperceptable on the skin but can help give confidence to those concerned about the early signs of ageing.Regardless of whether you believe in the blurring particles or not this is a nice primer with a sheer beige tint, the heavy silicone content helps distribute across the face and give a velvety texture which helps give tooth for the foundation to grip to. I don't suffer from oily skin, in fact my skin is so dry I try to create a dewy look to feel healthy, but whatever way you want to create matte or dewy this prevents slipping or unnecessary wearing of your base to keep your face on for longer.Definitely worth the small cost in comparison yo otter more expensive brands I've tried.

I got this in pink. I’ve experimented with lots of different primers of various colours. This picture no one is meant to brighten skin but in general they are meant to brighten skin and reduce the visibility of pores. There’s not much information on applying this one-it simply says to use under make up. Most others I’ve used say to use over moisturiser but under make up so that’s how I used it initially. It just didn’t work like that. My foundation tended to sit on top of it and it actually seemed to highlight pores. I then started to use it instead of moisturiser and it seemed to work better. After applying it, my skin was visibly brighter and pores looked reduced and make up went on easily and didn’t seem to sit in my skin. It’s a good product for the price but the lack of information about how best to use it was irritating. Maybe it works differently depending on your skin type and that’s why there isn’t much information. You might have to play around with how you use it for it to work.

My wife liked this, up to a point.“This did not deliver on the promise of reducing my pores, but it was excellent in reducing the redness of my skin, and left my face feeling moisturised and protected. I applied my make up on the top of it, and even in the current heatwave it lasted longer than I expected. You really don't need much at all, and it soaks into your skin in an instant leaving feeling soft. I found that I needed a couple of applications in order to reduce the redness of my face as one was not enough – it just did not work, so as this is a really small tube it will not last for long.I approve of the small nozzle on the bottom of the tube, which means that you can better control how much comes out and how much you apply without wasting any.It leaves your skin shiny but after you apply your make-up you cannot see the shininess at all, as it does not bleed through.A lot of money for a very small tube, only one fluid ounce or 30 grams.”

I like this product, though it may not suit those with oily skin, because it’s a little greasy when first applied over a light moisturiser. However, after waiting 5-10 minutes before using my foundation, it was mostly absorbed. Although the primer is pink with a slight luminescent tinge, it isn’t noticeable once on, and it does – to some degree – even out skin tone. I also liked that it made the appearance of my open pores less obvious, and my skin felt soft and dewy rather than oily.I’m quite impressed with this primer; it isn’t as drying as my usual brand, my light foundation went on smoothly, and lasted for most of the day. Most importantly, I had no adverse/allergic reaction to it,as I have experienced with some products.I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone with a very oily complexion, but for my dry/combination skin, it’s very good and made my face look fresher.

This is designed to be worn under your foundation or you can just wear it on its own. That is what I have been doing. It's a very pale pink and has a lovely rose -like scent. You get 30 mL in the tube. It goes on nicely and gives the skin a slight 'pearly', although matt sheen. It doesn't look shiny or greasy. In the picture, the product is applied on the skin on left-hand side and as a blob on the right-hand side. It doesn't impart as much colours are tinted moisturiser, but just gives a light natural glow on my fair skin. It just gives the skin a glow which is great for anyone past the first flush of youth. If you wear it under foundation,it gives a good base for it to adhere to.I wouldn't recommend wearing this alone if you tend to oily skin, because I think it migh exacerbate the look.Recommended as a complexion pick-me-up. I’ve only ever used transparent primers before, so this was my first time using a colour primer for colour correcting purposes. This one (pink) claims to reduce any redness, and reduce the look of tired eyes.I must say it was easy to apply and blend into my skin. I do have a few red patches, especially around my nose, chin and cheeks and this seemed to really reduce their appearance even before applying my base (foundation) my eye area too, looked a lot less dull.Im also pretty impressed as once my foundation was applied on top of the primer it did give a lovely, flawless finish. In addition to this, I also found the primer held up at keeping shine at bay,as my base stayed Matt for most of the day before I had to reach for the powder. It’s affordable and does what it claims incredibly well

Maybelline Master Prime Anti-Redness Primer Number 30, Green is an instant acting primer which provides instant results at reducing redness from your facial area. I like to apply it prior to my foundation as it helps to disguise the redness I suffer from especially in the hot summer months, I found it ideal for reducing the redness I had after a day on the beach. It has a very smooth texture which enables me to apply it easily and with the added advantage it immediately absorbs into my skin leaving no green residue. This is a budget product, and I am sure there are more expensive primers which produce a better result, though I found this worked well and worked quickly. Therefore, in my opinion,I would happily purchase this again as I do like the results the primer delivers.Happy to recommend.

Weird things that you learn in makeup; green can be good. No one wants to look like Grotbags, but if you do suffer from redness, or have some red blemishes, a touch of green acts as the natural opposite of it. The 'Maybelline Master Prime Anti-Redness Primer Number 30, Green' is designed to act as a base level to work from so that you can at least start off my knocking some of the worst redness from you face. The makeup is quite gel like and spreads easily, it is up to you not to apply too much and get a good balance between reducing the redness and not looking green. I feel it works best at targeting problem areas and then applying other makeup to further reduce redness and enhance otherfeatures.

This is a light mousse style primer with a light peachy hue.I have provided images of the primer applied to the back of my hands, as this is the easiest to show the effect. The first image shows my hand looks quite red and my pores are more prominent, but straight after applying the primer, not only does my skin appear less red, but it also looks smoother and my pores are less visible. The primer does leave a shiny texture, but once you apply your foundation, this will not look as shiny. This primer is very good for smoothing out finer lines and gives you a fresher more youthful appearance. For the price, I think it is good value and in line with other similar quality primers. I like it.

A pink, pearlescent primer to give your skin a “lit from within “ look and help your makeup last longer. This is a very good base to make, keeping foundation in place for much longer than if it was used alone. It can also be used alone in place of foundation for a light “no makeup, makeup” look as it covers skin and gives a subtle glow and lessens imperfections. I also liked to wear this under powder as the primer/powder combination helped to even out my skin tone without looking heavy and overly made up.It goes on well with either fingers, a foundation brush or a sponge, I favour the sponge as used damp it gave a really light coverage and I needed to use slightly less this way.

This primer by Maybelline is really lightweight and glides on to your skin effortlessly. It has a very definite shine/shimmer which won’t be to everyone’s taste but I personally feel like it brightens my skin and is a great base for my foundation. In the past I have found some primers to feel greasy when applied to the skin with an odd texture. This primer is more like a light moisturiser in texture and a small amount goes a long way.A few times I have dabbed a little bit under my eyes and on the corner of my lower eye socket. I think it works well as a brightener, freshening up your face after a long day and before an evening out.Overall very impressed.

I have Rosacea and am quite familiar with using Green primer to lessen the redness of my face. Its a nice and light gel that spreads easily onto the skin. Sinks into the skin well and lessens both redness and spider veins on your face. Obviously if you are 20 you wont know what spider veins are, but it is something that older woman have to put up with as we reach 45 and over.Whether as to whether it shrinks pores, i cannot say that i have noticed that but pores expand as you get older anyway and you just get used to it.I placed tinted moisteuriser on top of it and my face was dewy and clear and looked a lot more youthful.Would buy again.

This pore minimizing primer was easy to apply, not runny. It has a slight tint to it, blends easily and has the usual silicon feel to the skin.I am in my fifties and so have combination skin where the eye area tends to be dry but t-zone sometimes oily with enlarged pores. This primer really did minimise the look of pores and fine lines as you can see from the photos. The first taken immediately before application and the second after. I have worn this alone and under foundation. Allows the foundation to be applied evenly and stays all day.I can't fault it. Does what it says it does.
