I bought this jacket along with Marmot's Precip Eco pants (same excellent material, waterproof and breathable). Like all Marmot clothing, good quality but a bit overpriced IMO (hence 4 stars). For this jacket in particular, Amazon's price varies from £76 to £131 depending on the colour (!?). I got the 'solar' colour which is very visible (I cycle) but darker and much more elegant than the horrible 'building site' yellow vests that are everywhere. I am slim (38" chest in t-shirt) and I bought the medium (which is only slightly large on me) since I want to wear warm layers under the jacket. With my Rab Microlight down jacket the fit is perfect. I've already tested the jacket in pouring rain (even with armpits zips semi-open)and not a drop has passed through. The jacket is just a rain shell so be prepared to layer up since cold-wise it is like wearing paper (although it's wind-proof). The advantage of being so thin is that you can pack the entire jacket in its left pocket. The only minor annoying things (personal preference) is the main zip on the (wrong) right side (American way) and the inexcusable lack of zip pullers which makes it difficult to zip/unzip with gloves.

I feel like the fit is good. I got an XL to put over top of layers when it is cold. It's also great for summer rain storms because it is very light and not nearly as hot as others. I never use an umbrella anymore. It sheds water very well with proper care. I made the mistake of washing this without educating myself first. You can't use liquid detergent or fabric softener or it loses it's ability to shed rain. I got a detergent and restorer combination but it is not quite as good as new. It lasted 9 years with my neglect. You are supposed to wash it but just do your research to keep it like new. I loved it so much, especially for fishing in the rain, that I just ordered another one.I use mine constantly! Great product!

Simple, well made, good for all but the rainiest of English days (and might be good for those, not had one yet). This is a nice waterproof, ideal to carry around without it taking up much room. With the way british summer likes to change to tipping down at the drop of a hat, this is handy to have stuffed in a bag with the red bull, lappy, and book, just in case.Fits well, sizing seems about normal verging on slightly roomy for a medium, and it does the job it was bought for. Can’t fault it.

The material is amazing and breathes so well. Super lite and packable. This is my first rain gear other than the crappy yellow jackets from my childhood and cheap ponchos so the contest of performance of what I am used to is stellar! The hood "just works" not sure how else to explain it but the way the hood fits my head it seems tailor made. Highly recommend this jacket!

So far so good. I only wear it in the city. There have been pretty heavy rains, but I’m only walking in them 20 minutes at a time or so. No soak through this far. Love the color and fit. It’s big enough to let me put layers underneath but doesn’t look baggy. I’m 5’8” 180lbs, a little extra build atm.

Could be better. Well made. I took the advice of previous reviewers and bought a size larger than normal XXL.Glad I did. Even then the arms are narrow and just enough room for a shirt underneath. Not best design for a company that purports to be hill walker friendly. Not much room . But nice jacket.

I like that it is breathable and does not make you feel hot. Here in the summer it gets super hot and when we have storms this rain coat is perfect. I ordered a medium because that's what it recommended for my size. I'm 6' ft and 177lbs and I wish I would have ordered a large.

Light weight at 10oz and in warmer hiking weather the pit-zips are a must, to maintain body temps. The value compared to far more expensive light weight rain jackets is exceptional! Currently have several Marmot items and each has preformed great.

Bought to replace a Patagonia torrentshell and this is much better. The fit is better in general but the hood and neck especially. Not had a chance to test in a downpour yet but tested the waterproofing and it seems good. Brilliant value jacket.

I bought this for my husband. He has had several jackets of other makes before but after a short time they had lost their effectiveness in the wet weather. He is so delighted with this one and says that it was definitely worth the extra money.

Buy this. Light. Keeps you very dry. Actually much warmer than you think. Can be a good thing or a bad thing. Let’s me know it’s quality. I searched for a long time to find what I wanted and found this for $30 less thank Bink’s.

Perfect for center Florida's winter and rainy days. Great fit, not too loose not to tight, wish it had a little outside chest pocket but overall good storage. Not too warm not to cold, perfect middle of the road choice.

Nice jacket generouse fit but looks good and is quite warm bearing in mind it's just a waterproof. One downside, in florescent lighting ( shopping rather than dog walking!) It looks a bit shiney/reflective.

Very pleased with the fit, design, workmanship & features of this "budget" Rain Parka. Very light weight & compact & I even like the funky Yellow/lime green color!!)), and with the seller expertise & offer!

I had been borrowing my husbands marmot precept for over a year and finally just broke down and bought my own. I love this jacket! It’s very light weight, easy to pack, and great for repelling rain.
