I'm a bit of a Marmot fan. I find their gear sizes well and as per their guidelines and the quality is great. This jacket was purchased as I wanted something to be able to take on a trip to the Scottish Borders that I could pack in my rucksack for walking but, was also smart enough to wear casual to the pub and whilst walking round towns. Saw this reduced and liked the colour and style. Pleased I went one size up from my normal large as I wanted to be able to wear a T-Shirt and also light fleece underneath when layering. Fit was as expected and whilst the material wasn't as thick as I had hoped the jacket performed well. I wouldn't describe this as a 'hardshell' jacket. It's not a softshell but,

Fantastic waterproof jacket: great cut for athletic builds, build quality and zippers are top notch, Marmot's own nano membrain technology is above average for waterproofness and breathability, features are well judged including the hood, which has great adjustability and is not overly voluminous, so perfect for hiking, and the Evo Dry face fabric technology, which is its USP and sets this jacket apart from regular jackets with DWR, has been flawless. It has withstood several hours of continuous heavy winter rain several times now and has not wetted out at all. This jacket feels durable yet very light and comfortable. Very pleased thus far

Having read the previous reviews I felt safe it would keep me dry with the Evodry technology and it didn’t disappoint. I’ve used it for the last month and it’s kept me completely dry, even if the fields around me were flooded. The zips under both arms provide good ventilation if you get too warm without the need to take it off and carry it. The adjustable hood also helps with the comfort of using this jacket no matter the weather and as it’s so lightweight it’s no hassle taking it anywhere just in case the weather turns. Lots of great features, dependable and eco – conscious has made it my jacket of choice.

Great quality jacket but disappointed with the irritation of the zip when pulled up fully.If the hood of the jacket is not in use this is definitely something that prevents 5 star rating

Awesome product, can pour water all over it and it just rolls off... PLUS EVOdry tech means you dont have to reapply DWR long term.

I have now tested this jacket in the autumn with matching marmot trousers and can only say that it keeps its promise

Completely rainproof, light and soft fabric. Not as stiff as many others.
