A simply outstanding jacket. I use this two different ways - as a base layer underneath a shell jacket, or on its own for a chilly day with no rain. Either way, it is exactly perfect.A couple of notes on fit - it's athletic cut and is designed to fit somewhat snug across the midsection with some room in the shoulders. The sleeves are a tad on the long side but nothing outrageous. The jacket goes to the waist and does have a drawstring to help dial in the fit. Note that if you're looking for a little extra room, go a size up but even at that it's not going to be THAT much room owing to the cut. It's a light jacket, ideally suited for the trail. But don't think that lightness is sacrificing warmth - it's something that excelled at keeping the chill off me (39-42 degrees). I was active during that time too so that's part of the equation. I don't think I'd wear it if I were inactive in that weather, but moving around and such it's a good choice. Even at that, sleeping in it in my bag offers that extra oomph for cold weather outings.Even better, it compresses and packs down to about the size of a Nalgene bottle. I put it in a stuff sack and got it to where I have zero concern having it in my pack. Uncompressing it...no issues, the insulation regained its loft pretty much immediately. If I had a nit, I'd say I wish there were an interior pocket, BUT that's only a nit. The two front pockets are deep enough to hold things (phone, GPS, whatever), and certainly when used to line a shell jacket the pockets aren't much use anyway. This jacket is made to last - will hold up on a demanding trail, keeps me warm without overheating, and looks good doing it. Packs light and compresses down very easily. It's the Real Deal(tm) and has become a core piece of equipment in my cool-cold weather load out. A great jacket!

I got this jacket for my husband to have for a compact, lightweight layer in the 20-degree-plus temperature swings in Atlanta's seasonal weather patterns because I think Marmot is a great brand, great quality, and generally good style for the type of product it is.He ultimately won't wear it because he is quite uncomfortable with the cut and style of how the jacket makes him look. He thinks it looks super bulky on top and quite thin / too narrow on bottom - he is 6'4", 200lbs, standard size Large tops, 34"x36" pants. The top half of the jacket has quilted, puffy filled segments and makes the top part of his torso and shoulders look much more broad than he actually is.The bottom part of the jacket torso and sleeves are quite thin and lose the structure that the top has,so it sags/bunches and doesn't provide much of a layer, which he didn't like. The jacket seems like it would be better if it had the quilted structure throughout, or if it was the thinner windbreaker style of the bottom. But as it is, it seems like it is two jackets trying to be one (and not very well). The quality of the jacket is excellent. The materials feel great, super soft, super lightweight, would be a great compact jacket for traveling, etc. Just make sure you get the right size and that this type of cut will flatter your build.

For people who live in Arizona, we own quite a bit of cold-weather gear. My husband makes regular visits to Minnesota, and we travel often -- quite often to places that (brrr) require us to wear socks. And worse. The problem is finding jackets that are suitable for temperatures that are "colder than sweatshirt weather" and "warmer than deep winter." In other words, my husband has a down liner suitable for wearing when it's 10 degrees (along with a Marmot shell to cope with rain and snow), but that's overkill if the temperatures are in the 30s and 40s.This is JUST RIGHT. It's extremely comfortable (the sort of jacket you want to snuggle into), it looks good, and (with, admittedly, only Arizona testing so far) is plenty warm. With a rainproof shell, you'd be set for any weather. (I'm sure it could cope with a few sprinkles, but I'd still bring along a shell.)It also weighs almost nothing, and will stuff into a tiny corner of your luggage. We own at least a half dozen items from Marmot, and all of them are stellar. The clothing's workmanship is excellent, and each one of those items stands up to rough travel conditions. Everything I've owned from Marmot has become a favorite piece of clothing, and this jacket fits right in.

I wore this every morning this week to walk to the gym. I wear it over my short-sleeve gym shirt. It was 42 degree this morning, and I was very comfortable. It's surprisingly warm, considering how light and thin it is, and it blocks the wind well. I had been wearing a thick fleece jacket, but no more! This Marmot is warmer. The synthetic fabric is very comfortable against the skin. The pockets are insulated in the back only, so they don't keep your hands warm -- not an issue if you wear gloves. There's a drawstring at the waist, and elastic at the cuffs, though it's a tad loose on my wrists. The zipper doesn't feel very substantial to me, though it hasn't given me any problems. My one nitpick is the styling.I don't love the look of the stitching; it looks a bit turtle-y to me. But it you like it, then you're all set. It's a great jacket.Labeled "Athletic fit." Comes with a Limited Lifetime Warranty. Made with 75% recycled materials. Tag says "Made in Vietnam."

We have been longtime fans of Patagonia, but these look trimmer, and are way warmer. The fit is a nice slimming line too and the shoulders etc are generous and non-binding. We wanted animal free (no down) washable easy wear jackets and now everyone in my family has and loves these Marmot ones. BTW as a brand, Marmot is fantastic, they make jackets that last and last and last. So pick a color that you will love 20 years down the road. I goodwilled a rain shell from the 90s about 25 years later and zippers and waterproofing were still working, and it hadn't fallen apart in any way, true, it saw daily use only for the first couple years, when I lived in Seattle, and then only a few weeks of use a year down here in California. But have to say I loved that about the brand. Don't like the attitude of made to throw away clothing.

Really nice top, super lightweight but with the insulation it feels like it’s going to be quite a cosy jacket. I plan to wear it as a mid-layer during colder weather but I’m sure by spring it will be great to wear by itself.Packs into its pocket so easily, I intend to take with me next time I manage to do any travelling. So I’d give it 5 stars ⭐️ for this purpose.Maybe only 3/4 stars ⭐️ thou for the fact it has no chest pocket on inside or outside but both side pockets do have good zips.Overall I would recommend this product, especially if u can manage to find it at any sort of discount on its full price.

I love the Marmot brand and I love their products when I was first introduced to them a decade ago when I began high altitude mountaineering. This is the kind of jacket that packs small in your sack and is great to have on a hike should the weather take an unexpected turn. The design is nice, color is great but my issue was with the fit. I wanted it to be rather snug, but alas it was too large. I am 6ft tall around 155lbs with a smaller frame. The large was obviously too large on me, but I wanted a slim sport fit. I think the medium would have been a better option.

The Marmot Featherless Hybrid Jacket is great for the athletic/slim body type. The sleeves are long and generous in the Large size and work with my spouse's 36/37 length arms well.It is SUPER light weight but actually provides a decent amount of warmth for such a thin feeling jacket. It gets the most use in breezy and cloudy conditions and on some cool mornings. The quality of the jacket is top notch. When wearing a quality made product like this, it feels better, looks better, wears more comfortably and makes you feel good in it.

Had been looking for a light jacket/ mid layer to wear when outside exercising.Great fit, jacket is really light, wouldn’t know you’ve got it on, but incredibly warm, keeps me active warm in temps around 0°C.Jacket is even water resistant, shaking off light spray/drizzle.Recommend to anyone.Update - just 12months old, and disappointingly the zipper insertion pin edges broke off. The insertion pin has been a weak point, but rest of jacket has been great. Leaves me with a jacket that won’t close, not great.

This is one of those jackets that I feel are perfect for multiple weather variations. It looks cool with its form fitting design for starters and is very comfortable. I like using it as an under layer under a thicker coat when it gets cold and I use it on it's own when it's not so brutal outside. It's well made and thin enough to be able to pack up small if you plan on storing it inside a backpack. I would recommend this a hundred percent.

I'm a fan of Marmot garments, and this jacket is no exception. It is very lightweight yet warm (though not appropriate for really cold weather). I love the interior - a very soft gray material that is very comfy. The top is quilted down - though again, very lightweight. I wear a large - and this fit just right, though fairly tapered, so better for a slimmer fit. It is a two-tone light and dark gray, and looks stylish.

This Featherless Hybrid Jacket from Marmot is for men who get chilly in Spring weather. The jacket is light; too light in fact to be so warm. As advertised, it feels like you're wearing down. The jacket features two side pockets but inner pocket. It also features 3M Thinsulate technology to keep you as warm as possible without and added weight. Made of 100% polyester and definitely recommended.

I am a tall man 6'7 with a medium to large build and I really like how athletic this jacket makes me look. Its a great light jacket and being hydrid its really modern looking. I have not worn it in cold weather but it does appear warm. True to size fit and the xl is perfect for me. Only negative is that the zipper feels feeble. Got some good remarks from the few times I have worn it. Recommend.

This coat in a size large fits a tall thin man quite well. Nice definition to the shoulders, sleeves are long enough, waist is low enough to not ride up. Coat is made well, though the zipper caught on the fabric the first time unzipping it out of the package.Seems pricey at $160, so 4 stars.

Keeps you warm like 700 fill. Fits like a bit of a slim fit Men’s Large. Feels like it weighs nothing and easily makes you drastically warmer alone or under or over another shirt or jacket. Thin too. It will keep you warm and looking great!
