Our expanding Star Wars collection is heavily played with on a daily basis. Personally I most like to add exotic ships and playsets to it. However my young apprentice prefers clone kit and of course the iconic ships of the heroes. Strangely enough we lacked a Millennium Falcon so far even though the Lego Star Wars range has produced quite a few iterations of the Correllian freighter over time. And I wasn’t planning to get one now, but I was tempted by it a steep, about 40% compared to the usual retail price. I’m afraid that eventually we’ll get a large UCS Millennium Falcon version as well, though for the moment we would lack space to keep it (and we already have the excellent big Hasbro Millennium Falcon). However for now this remains a fairly decent and much more affordable temporary solution. Also because it is both an iconic ship and a playlet in one that offers a quite a few play features. The built of the 1351 piece set wasn’t too demanding, it took us about 4 hours though we completed it in several sessions during a school break. I usually sort and collect the pieces and my highly experienced set of young hands puts the model together. While I put the sticker in place - of this there are a few in this set.The completed model is quite sturdy and opens up smoothly on top to reveal the interior and playset. Once the top panels are opened there are beds, chairs, a holochess table, the guns can be manned, the ramp can be lowered and there is a hidden cargo space. The ship also fires two missiles.I would have a few points of criticism first of all its a scale model , so I find the cockpit a little narrow and does not flip open with a hinge. Secondly, the interior and exterior in particular is dotted with studs, that is perhaps what you can expect with a cheap child and play-focussed version. But it does look at little off compared to the beautiful and realistic recent models like the Razor Crest and the Mos Eisley Cantina and even next to the UCS Jawa trailer.Lastly, the figure selection is average at best. We have countless of R2D2’s/C3PO’s and even a few DO’s no. The same goes for Finn and Chewbacca. So these could have been left out. Though I understand that as a cornerstone item in a kid’s Lego collection these figures would have to be in. On the other hand Lando in his old-age appearance is good and interesting. And the somewhat obscure Boolio is even better.Despite all the complains about damaged boxes ours arrived in pristine condition, very carefully packaged. - Amazon Prime does know how to handle it.

This is a substantial, fun to build set. The size is quite optimal for having the right shape and details while maintaining playability.Obviously the tricky shape of the ship makes it challenging to design but this is the best version so far, if not counting the UC one.The way it opens is a huge improvement to prior versions, with 5/6 lids that open. However, some of them are very flimsy due to the challenging shape. Especially the lid next to the cockpit, the hingle is simply poorly designed and placed. There could be a little more details inside, the "kitchen" corner is quite empty and could use some more interesting elements than a frying pan and a coffee mug...An annoying flaw are the top and bottom turrets which do not stay in place and break constantly. The four "barrels" on each are the most prone to falling off way too easily. If you open the round hatch on top, the cannon swings around and gets in the way. I know the size makes it a challege to implement these but this just doesn't work. Also, the top hatch with the vertically sliding "thing" - what is this supposed to be?The characters are fun but I don't understand putting a one scene side character (Boolio) in a set. There are countless more relevant characters to put in there

This set was a fun time to build, though I will say with all the varying shades of gray it makes it harder to rebuild once you take it apart. But that's minor and serviceable. The seating at the flight control is small and the pictures minifigures are hard to have in there together, but can be done. You also have to be very careful to build correctly or the parts built upside down may still work but will feel like it doesn't fit as perfect as if you did it correctly. The satchel part for Finn is a little fragile and broke the first time we used it, but LEGO is always good at replacement parts for breakage issues. So, all of the above are minor, but in my eyes, if its not perfect,it's not 5 star. For the good, there are a good amount of figures and at MSRP this is a good price for the amount of peices as well as weight of the set. I love the gems in this set too, like the gunner seating and the hidden compartment near the kitchen. The 3d chess table and the medical area. Some very nice touches on the outside of the ship in detail work and the fact that you can fire the lasers is all very neat.I think this is a great buy, a great build and very giftable for that Star Wars fan in your life (if you are not buying it for yourself.)

I've found myself getting back into Lego Star Wars in a huge way in the last couple of years. It started with the Kessel Run Falcon , a build I loved and model I really enjoy having on display. I've been tempted ever since to get a falcon based on the classic design and colouring.A price drop on this and great reviews detailing the new design was the incentive to jump in.The build has changed a lot, making it a new experience and the design is really different. The mandibles have been re-modelled to be more proportionate with the Falcon in the movies and the top section has had a total redesign, now having five panels instead of 10. It means far less gaps, making it look much better and also making it much more accessible when used as a playset. Unlike the Kessel Run set it also opens fully at the back rather than having a fixed panel. The set comes with some nice mini figures which include a really nice version of an older Lando and a variant of Finn that I have not seem before.Overall this is a fantastic set. The Falcon is a Star Wars classic and, outside of the UCS, this is the best Lego build of it yet.

well lego finally fixed the problem. im not sure why it took them this long, but the ugly gaps in the hull are gone. before, there were many small petals that opened up, leaving a lot of ugly gaps, but now theyve lowered the count to five big flaps, making it look a lot smoother and closer to the ucs. unfortunately, the cockpit is as small as ever, but it is a playset. the holes in the mandibles look great because of the smooth tiles and the battered color scheme looks accurate. i think that lego should have had a printed radar dish though. it looks a little plain to me. there is a good minifigure selection, with a new character, boolio. i presume hes a somewhat major character because hes included in this set.then we get our old friends r2, 3po, and chewie. just about the last characters of the original trilogy still with us. then we have fin and lando. im quite pleased with this set after lego has fixed its issue with the hull and it looks good even for its smaller size. id say its worth the money. thumbs up if you want the lord of the rings sets released again.

Be prepared to dip in to your Classic bucket for some 2x4, 1x4, 1x3 and 2x3 bricks, because the underside is almost completely frame bare. Adding bricks to fill the holes (not forgetting the drop ramp clearance, of course) will add some weight to the build, but what you will end up with is a build that goes from very little flex to ZERO flex with the addition of probably 40 bricks?. I'm also looking at drawing out the nose section a bit with flat pieces, it doesn't look deep enough (look at movie stills, the nose section is pretty flush with the underside - this build has a pretty substantial "step" between the nose and the superstructure). Now, this next bit isn't really a gripe, just to point something out: this set is half the size of the ultimate collector series one. The minifigs aren't going to be walking under the hull, nor are they going to be standing up on the deck with the roof down (especially Chewbacca, who I've found can fit on the navigation chair and still close the roof, so I guess that works).

This is the first Millennium Falcon Lego set I’ve as I wanted to buy the UCE version but I have no room to display such a large model and the other play sets have had ugly gaps which have been fixed on this version. My favourite part of owning Lego is the building experience and this set didn’t let me down. There isn’t anything challenging but it is fun and engaging.Unfortunately a couple of things let it down. I think the interior space is too sparsely detailed. The engine area on previous versions was much better. Also the landing gear are too short so the figures can’t use the landing rampThe other issue is the printing of the front canopy dish isn’t straight and off by a couple of degrees.Whilst not terrible is a little disappointing. Happily R2D2’s head was perfectly printed which I know a lot of people have had trouble with. There are also too many stickers for my liking as I can never apply them without getting them crooked, air bubbles or dirt particles trapped under them.

When I was a young boy my Dad and I use to put Lego sets together, so assembling this Lego Millennium Falcon with my 8 year old Son was a great experience. We spent a couple of hours a day during a entire week-end to completely get it assembled as there are over 1300 parts, that come packaged in a bunch of different plastic bags. Also included is a sticker decal sheet. The instruction booklet was quite easy to follow along. No issues with missing parts or any of the Lego pieces not fitting together as they were designed to do so. Completely assembled this falcon playset is sturdy and quite large in size. Comes with seven mini Star War figures that can be used to place inside the falcon as individual panels flip open revealing areas of a lounge, kitchen, plus a few others. The outside has a radar dish, gun turret, and missiles. Super impressed with the overall design. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Like many others, I have been looking at the Falcons on here, mostly the biiiiiiig one, but upon further research, I found it didn't have all that I would dream it would have, and this one seemed to have more interactivity, and my wife wouldn't leave me because of this one, so...easy choice! There's a lot of space to make a couple special modifications yourself, I put in a more elaborate hyperdrive unit and a water cooler, because they gotta stay hydrated. I will try to fenagle getting four figures into the cockpit, but I'm okay with it just being two. It's a great size and weight, goes with the Slave I very well, I'm honestly over the moon about it. I haven't had a Lego Star Wars vehicle since the late 90's,so this has been fun. I love this ship. I put in other figures and made the scene where Han is talking about not believing in the Force. I can't stop staring at it. Thank you, Lego!

This set was a lot of fun to build, and is perfect for play and display. Lego has really improved the Falcon since they released the tfa and solo versions. It now opens faster because the parts that you lift are 6 (including front part). It has some awesome minifigs, such as a new version of Finn, an exclusive Lando( whose outfit looks kinda like the one from Solo), Boolio, the alien from the start of the film, Chewbacca with the 2015 bowcaster, C-3PO, R2-D2 and D-O, the new Droid from TROS. It includes space for 2 figs + D-O, two "beds", a chair that can turn around, a holotable with 3 chairs and space for 2 figures in the canons in the center. The only problem I had is that the part next to the cockpit could not fit,so I have left it there without attaching it on any other piece. Anyway, it's an amazing set and I would definitely recommend buying it

This is a fabulous Lego set that my almost 12-year-old son put together. It took him about 6 hours to build, which he broke up over a few days. Once built, he has spent hours playing with it and running all over the house with his Millennium Falcon. I loved that is was a great project and nice challenge to build himself and I especially love how well it has stayed together with hours of playing! His favorite part might be the characters that came with it. There are a couple newer characters but mostly some classics! He loves Chewbacca, C-3PO and R2-D2, and they really make the playing fun.Lego makes fabulous products that inspire creativity and pretend play! We have some other Legos, but this set has quickly become one of our favorites! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I purchased this set for my 6-year-old grandson for Christmas. We've been having a great time building, though his attention span for the first couple of bags when you're building the skeleton was a little short. I have the last grey one LEGO produced (as well as the white one and the 7,000 piece one) and this is an improvement over the first one I got. The biggest improvement is in the top exterior. Instead of individual triangles there are several sturdy quadrants that hinge and fit well. There's a great hidden smuggling compartment that extends below deck and the drive in the rear is built with translucent blue tiles that is more representative of the ship that has taken us on so many great adventures over the years.Terrific set.My only regret with LEGO is that I can't by stock.

This LEGO set is a very popular one at the moment and you would be lucky to get one, but when you do get it, It's worth the wait. it took around 2-3 weeks to ship from England to Australia. This build had some unique building techniques that were very surprising and fun. for me this build is tied first for the best Falcon Along with the kessel Run. This build also fixed the problem of the panels being open and that made it look a-lot smoother then the previous models. The Mini-figures are amazing and are well updated. I would recommend this model to everyone who can get they're hands on it. Anyways Hope this helped make your decision.
