This set is EPIC!!!!!!! and awesome!!!!!Got this for Xmas from my wife and I love it, the best set for 2012 for def!!!!!The detail of the set is great and the minifigures sell the set straight away as there are excellent. The detail on the palace it's self very neat and well done by Lego. The palace splits into two pieces one piece being the palace and the other piece being the watch tower/palace entrance. You also get small accessories under Jabba's throne which is cool, in there is gold coins, a frog and blaster gun. The Jabba figure is really well and finely detailed he has a small tattoo on his right forearm which looks really good. Princess Leia in Boushh bounty hunter outfit is really well detailed just like in ROTJ film,

Bought this for my 9 year old son for Christmas along with the desert skiff set, it was a massive hit... I was slightly concerned as my son hadn't mentioned this one but I knew that he likes being able to have wars with all his figures and build multiple scenes so he uses this along with his many other star wars sets and I don't see him for several hours, I just hear the sound effects!! This is a good set with updated figures and I'm told they are all good ones, my son did say that he would have rather there been a C-3PO which would have been more relevant to the scene instead of one of the lesser characters from jabbas palace,

Got this for my star wars fan son, It didn't take me long to build but most noticeably (having built a lot of lego sets!) its very well made and sturdy and bits don't keep falling off or coming apart (I'm thinking of the Batman sets of recent times that seem to have a weak point somewhere in the design. I haven't had to rebuild any of this and its been played with a lot) The door can move up and down, Jabba slides forward and back over a trapdoor and the trapdoor then slides open so you can add the Rancor pit set and drop people into it. The figures are the best, Leia as Zam Wessel with spare hair for taking the helmet off, Jabba, and his minions, the green girl,

My six-year old grandson mentioned this model, more in hope than anticipation, considering the cost, but as a joint present or a kit for the enthusiast it is an excellent project. Of course, he needed to recruit the assistance of Dad in its construction, but the, his Dad has never forgiven his parents for depriving him of Lego models when he was a kid, so being dragged into the construction activity was really no hardship. These complex and expensive models are not for the faint-hearted but should keep Mum, Dad and youngster happy for a few hours, not to mention the pleasure of showing off the completed model to proud grandparents who perhaps bought them as presents.I doubt many owners will want to demolish the finished article and start again,

My son is obsessed with Lego Star Wars and when at a toy shop or Legoland continually picks up this model to drool over, but at £100 I was on the fence about it. Bought during Amazon's sale at £70 at which it is good value for money and will make for a great holiday gift.4 stars for durability, nothing special but neither does it fall apart easily.Not necessarily an educational item, but 5 full stars for fun rating.I was made aware of this deal by brickbadger.com - definitely worth visiting if you are planning to buy lego off amazon, has all sales listed.

This is one of the few Lego Star Wars sets that I couldn’t avoid to buy.We got both very large Lego and Star Wars toys colections, but from a storage space and budget perspective it always seemed wiser not to get attracted to Star Wars Lego... so I was very proud on my own discipline ... until I saw this set on top of the Rancor pit in a Lego store.So we got both sets and the kids absolutely adore building and playing with it.The moving throne mechanism is excellent. And all the figures are very well done

Bought this for my 10 yr old son who loves Star Wars Lego. We hid it until the Easter Holidays started, didn't last long - just an hour later and he had built it! It really could do with more building pieces considering the cost. If it had been 'full price' I would have been very disappointed! As it is, was surprised to find such a small model. Why oh why Lego did you have to separate Jabba's Palace and The Rancor Pit - sell it together!

Great design, which works best with the Rankor Pit set and some modifications (you can't open the gate and the gate faces the tower, rather than the from of three set). Perhaps not the best value for money but unusual in that it is almost a complete structure and unique in the truly fantastic scenes played out in the movie at the palace.

becouse it looks similar to some islamic religious buildings and you have weapons in the tower some religious people see a danger in this toy and want lego to take it from the market. This set is perfect in every way, the minifigures fit perfectly inside the palace & you are able to make quite memorable scenes form Return of the Jedi. It's price is questionable, but as I got it when there was a deal, it was money well spent. This set is perfect when you attach the rancor's pit underneath it. Quite superb!

Purchased as a present for my son who loves the set and plays with it constantly. He also has the Rancor pit which adds to the play value.My only fault would be that I expected the set to be a little bigger but this is just me being picky.Any young or old Star Wars fan will get great pleasure out of this set.

The set itself is nice, not hard to build nor that exciting to build too.It has some playability but it stands great in a shelf.What stands out are the minifigures. LEGO have outdone themselves with these ones.Must buy if you can afford it and at this price I just didn't have a doubt.

Great build, fantastic price and lots of minis make this one top one to have this xmas. A brilliant rebuild of jabbas palace which im told is soon to have .......a rancor pit, oh yes 2013 cant come soon enough.

A little pricey but when you look at the amount of mini figures you get and it is a solid piece of Lego, it is reasonable value. My soon is so happy with this that he wants to take it to everywhere he go's.
