The Empire Temple of Madness is a real treat for any LEGO Ninjago enthusiast. While it may appear basic on the website, once built, it is something magnificent to behold. It contains six minifigures, including the exclusive Sushimi sushi chef, as well as three digi-ninja, the emperor Unagami, and an iconic Red Visor. The build is very intricate, with some pieces that, I admit, even I have never seen before. The Temple of Madness encompasses two main levels, as well as a pedestal at the top of the model that holds the final Key-tana. If twisted while on its resting place, the Key-tana causes the throne room’s (the main level) doors to open revealing what lies inside.

This was such a cool build, and looks amazing on display. I really love the combination of colors used, as well as all the video game-like features throughout, such as the platforming sections or having to collect key blades to progress through the level itself. The minifigure selection is great, and I greatly appreciate the health bar feature added to all of them. I did, however, come across an issue with one of the pieces. One of the orange sword-like pieces at the top of the temple was shorter than the other, completely missing the point at the top. Unfortunately, this is the second set in a row that I have purchased with some sort of issue (the previous one being set 31104 Monster Burger Truck,

This set came damaged, not the fault of LEGO itself, was just a certain retailer that I won't name (this will not effect the review). First of all, this set looks really good. I really like the way that the red, black and cyan colours look together, it really makes the set look quite evil. I do really like the main feature, the opening door and the figures, which look really good, as most have recently. I do have some issues with it though, this set includes all three keytanas which I do appreciate a lot, but it has features for only two of them which I find strange. Cole's scythe weapon has a white bar underneath (not sure if that's accurate or not) I think it should've been translucent neon green instead.

My son was so excited to start building the Temple set. He started off pretty well, and the instructions were easy Building started from the base with its legs, problems arose later in the build as the legs kept falling off, would put leg base on last if he was to build it again.Good feature when temple complete the sword at the tip twists to open the doors at bottom of temple to show the figure inside.Took about six hours with only a couple of hard bits, which required adult help.

The Temple of Madness is one our favorite sets from the Prime Empire Season. The color combinations are absolutely fantastic. It was little challenging to built for my 6 years old son, especially the alignment of the moving section that opens the door to reveal Unagami when you turn the sword. But it was easily with little help. This set kept him busy for several days to built (working about an hour a day). He loves playing with this set, and it is also a great display set.

This Lego set was slightly challenging to build for my 9 year old but he refused to give up and was delighted with the end result. There were two small Lego bricks missing but Lego were wonderful and sent them to us free of charge and very quickly. He loved the characters especially Digi Jay and the tiny arcade game on the corner near the roof. Unagamis throne rotates and you can unlock the portal doors by turning the sword at the top. A great interactive Lego set!!!

Bought this for our grandson’s birthday. He is 6 but very experienced at technical Lego beyond his age. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. Many bits are small and fiddly so we found it best to use bowls for each bag.It took him a couple of days to construct which was good value, If not careful, it is possible to keep knocking out bits already installed, but all part of the learning process. Overall a great buy for building patience and resilience as well.

This set was quite tricky to build and some of the instructions were not clear exactly where pieces needed to be put so involved some taking apart and moving bits around. Once built my boys (5 and 8) have loved playing with it, having plenty of people has helped them not argue over who has which person. Not the easiest to pick up and move around once built because there are lots of bits and pieces to it but has kept the kids occupied for long periods of time.

The set is pretty great and the mini figures are really cool. But the one thing wrong with this set is the top trans-orange pieces. There’s nothing supporting them/keeping them upright. So sometimes if you move the set or try to ply with it, they’ll just flop down and it doesn’t even look okay when they are. I think a tad bit more detail could be added to the interior, but other than that I think the set is fine.

Good value for money compared to other Lego sets at around the same price.Some bits were a little fiddly to put together but it has an age recommendation of 9+ and my daughter is 8.Took a long time to build and made a huge change from the usual Lego friends sets that she likes to build.The addition of so many characters is a nice touch and means she can play with friends

Great quality and value really detailed and easy step by step instructions to build. It came in 6 different bags for each section of the build easy to follow and clearly telling you which bag to use. Plenty of moving parts and it comes with 6 lego figures to play with. Me and my son have loved building this and hes spent hours playing with this and wants more to play with

This is an absolutely brilliant set and great fun to assemble and play with. There are a couple of tricky sections in the instructions. A younger child might need some help from and adult/older child.The set has some great features and moving parts and a total of six figures with lots of extra weapons.This really is an awesome set.

A fantastic set from Lego, really captures the fun of the show.Set was fairly large, and took quite a few hours to build but the instructions are so easy to follow, its hard to go wrong.My son is loving playing with it along with his other Ninjago sets, and using his imagination adding in other characters from different sets too.

This lego set is amazing, not to sure on the age recommended was rather hard for my 9 year. Loads of figures. Hours of fun while building and after. Only thing id have liked better was if the building book was blocked into separate books like the bags are. Very sturdy set
