I purchased this set a few days ago, and boy do I not regret it. This set is incredibly detailed. It shares accuracy with the original Storm Fighter in-show but also has it's own great elements from being remastered. The jet is a pretty nice size, but the techniques used to build it (the main function and the front nose) are pretty interesting. The function is very satisfying and entertaining. One thing to note is that for me, it's best to hold the set from the back, with your thumb in the space between the top engines/top wings. The feature is integrated very well, you have full on wings, and when you use it, they get bigger and the jet becomes even more sleeker.

I really wanted the original Storm Fighter but then I saw how much it went for nowadays. Then I saw this absolute beauty of a set, it looks so good! The play feature works really well, it has room for Jay and if you tilt the seat forwards a bit you can fit in the nunchucks of lightning too. The price for this, I'd say is brilliant, the serpentine figures look great, I'm not really a fan of the new Legacy suits but it's fine. The blade opening function works really well and the blades were a good choice too. I'd definitely recommend this to a friend or someone wanting to get into NINJAGO because it's such a near perfect set, the only issue I have with it is the little fins near the cockpit do interrupt the mechanism's closing and they can fall off easily.

Me and my sis are huge ninjago fans, and Jay is our favorite character, so this set was a must have! The Storm Fighter is such an iconic vehicle in the show, and for the price, it dose not disappoint! The characters in the set are wonderful! Jay looks awesome! Nya in this set is probably the best one so far! Only she wasn’t a ninja at this point. It’s not that big of a deal. Any set with Jay and Nya together is good enough for me! ;) The snakes, ( I can’t remember their names) are pretty cool too.The Storm Fighter itself is SO AWESOME!!! It has a place for to hold it, and the wings are the absolute best! I love how it opens up. The set comes with the Nunchucks Of Lightning,

On Christmas day 2012 I got the original "storm fighter" and I thought it was the coolest thing in the world! so when I first saw the new Ninjago "Legacy" sets I had to get this one. it was a fun build and several aspects of the interior design reminded me of the set it's based on, and the mechanism that causes the wings to open is genius! when I compared both "storm fighters" it was obvious that the new one is far superior! this set also comes with a great selection of minifigures, including an awesome variant of jay that looks a bit like his DX suit. overall it's a wonderful re-imagining of an old set, (the whole Legacy sub-theme is wonderful!)

First things first. Great value for money! When built you'll be pleasantly surprised with the size of the model, whilst the quality of the pieces (being Lego) is pristine... You'll also notice a distinctly satisfying feature of expandable and collapsible wings. The remastering of the Golden Weapon - Nunchucks of Lightening - is beautiful and masterfully done. A small hange makes a huge difference. And look at the the minifigures. They each have gorgeous printing. I'd go on but there's a limit.

It's a Lego kit so there is already a certain level of expectation with this, but it easily surpassed my expectations.To Me Lego was a big box of bricks of random sizes and shapes that you made them into things as the mood took you.The modern fixed kits seemed to me to be killing this inventiveness. However my grandson soon set me straight. Having built the original kit, it became any number of other models, morphing from one to the other as his game progressed. Highly recommended

Why does Jay get all of the cool stuff in Ninjago? Following on from Jays lightning jet from TLNM and stormbringer dragon he now has a cool Jet. The build is fun, not too difficult. The Jet itself looks great when built. The mechanism to transform the jet is something i havent seen before. It works well but i would be worried about how long it would last with regular play. It looks better as the Jet than with the blades extended anyway. I got it on sale which made it even better.

Like most legacy sets, the new storm fighter, is much better than the original. Pros- The selection of minifigures is very good, the build is very sturdy and so can survive some cash landings, the part to price ratio is also very good. Cons- The only this that I disliked about this set, is like all of the other legacy sets for series one, it only includes Pythor or a venormari figure, not any fangpyre, hypnobri or constricti.

This set is overall really good! My son is the lego builder here and he has some comments to say. He believes that this set has one main problem. The wings base in bags 3 and 4 are quite loose once you transform it. It's VERY big and only has around 9 studs to stay on. It kind of almost just floats around. That's really all though, the parts to price ratio is amazing. I would defiantly recommend it.

My son is an avid collector of Lego creations. He requests one every time he completes a piece of outstanding work with the "bonus" he receives for such work from us.This set is one of his requests, he very much enjoyed building it. It sits proudly on his Lego display unit.In my opinion this one was a little less tricky. As a parent, I like to see him challenged by the builds he is constructing.

Jay's Storm Fighter is just a great build. It really is a great legacy set and takes the original set back from 2012 and just makes it so much better. The mechanism that moves the wings is both unique and has always worked without issue for me. Though not a lot of figures, they high quality and tasteful, and the addition of the Nunchucks is a great throwback to the early days of ninjago.

my son is now 11 and has loved Lego since he was a toddler, he is quite talented and builds packs easily but the more complicated high age range sets are always much larger and more expensive. He asked for this particular set for his birthday and although built in within the hour - absolutely loves it. it has lots of gadgets etc such as the wings pushing out. great minifigures too

This is brilliant, I bought 2 of them for my grandsons in different countries. The one made up in this country was made by an adult, it did take a bit of time, probably over an hour, but it looked fab, great value. The one in South Korea was made up by my 5 year old grandson, he did it over a couple of days, but he did it. Really nice looking lego.

I think this set is great. I love the fold out feature and all the details of the set. I didn't get the original Storm Fighter and I like how Lego made a second one. I like the new mini-figures and I like how they added a stand for the nun-chucks of lighting. Also the set was much bigger than expected. Over all another very fun Lego set.

My son recently found the love for lego :) he is 4 so a bit young yet for building the kits, I spent my Sunday building it under the watchful eye of 'the tester' he gave himself this title! It was fun and he has not stopped playing with it. Can't wait till he can build it all himself :)
