This is a huge set! Helpfully, the pieces are in numbered bags so you can open them one at a time and build it in sequence. I worked on it in stages over the course of a week with my 8 year old daughter and 10 year old son and even though it says it's for 16+, they managed quite a bit of it by themselves.It's definitely a 'model' and not really a 'toy'. Some of the bits are very small and delicately placed and can be easily knocked off. I love the stained glass windows and the recognisable classrooms.The figures that come with it are tiny and easily lost!It's been great fun to build and explore. Now I just have to keep dusting it!

This is a fabulously detailed set that has given my daughter days of entertainment building it and exploring the myriad of Harry Potter themes. The instructions are clear and comprehensive in multiple books with great photos. Worth every penny!

bought for 10 year old grand daughter who just loves it. Product says for 16 and over but she has managed to build on her own so self explanatory instructions. we will be looking to buy more HP Lego when she has finished building this one

Although not cheap, by comparison to other sets this is worth every penny with over 6000 pieces. My daughter and I did a bag most nights and therefore spent around 6 weeks doing it, quality time together and kept her off technology!!!!

Just started building this, certainly looks a challenge. Great lockdown project ! Highly recommend to all adults ( why should kids have all the fun ) ???

Highly complex build keeps youngsters and adults occupied for hours. Especially if all the pieces are muddles up when it's second hand.

Instructions are clear, all pieces are in 37 numbered bags. Took my teenage daughter two days to complete.

Great set would buy again. You can clearly see all the areas of the castle that are seen in the films.
