This set had been on the top of my wish list for a while, so when my husband got me this for Christmas I was absolutely escstatic.I am a big ghostbusters fan and this set did not disappoint at all. It is very true to life, just how I remember it from the film. I took my time with this set, hid it away from the kids, and released my inner child. Every evening, when the kids were in bed, I would have a cup of tea (oh yeah I know how to live it up!) open the box with a silly smile on my face, and spend a little bit of me time building this amazing set.The first part of the set is the figures, all 4 of the ghostbusters themselves, and each one easily identifiable. This is seriously one of the best Lego sets I have ever owned! The build is just incredible.I prevuously voted for this Lego Ideas build and was so glad when it was picked for production.The Lego geniuses tweaked an already brilliant build and made it better.It's sturdy and so much fun to make....the detail is awesome.Being a Ghostbusters fan, I may be a little biased but it doesn't take away from the fact that this looks really really cool!Only 3 of the Ghostbusters fit inside the car sadly but there are mods on the Internet that allow you to tweak it so they all fit and it doesn't change how Ecto 1 looks at all.Each figure is a perfect representation of each Ghostbusters character.

My son loves making Lego and he also loves Ghostbusters, so this was a 'must buy.' It does have over 500 pieces and so younger children may need some help with it, but my eleven year old could do this alone and it kept him happily occupied for ages. The set comes with four, recognisable, figures and you can either sit them inside the car or, like other Lego figures, they have a little base to stand on. The detail in this set is amazing and it looks great when put together; plus, it is sturdy enough when built to have plenty of play value for younger children. Like all Lego toys, this is excellent value for money and fantastic quality - with an easy to follow instruction manual and plenty of extra 'smaller'

As a thirty something who has definitely not grown up yet this set is an absolute must buy! Took me right back to my childhood when I was obsessed with Lego as were many others.The fact they are starting to produce some film related vehicles (they've also done the BTTF DeLorean) is mind blowing! It's like a trip down memory lane combining favourite films and toys of days gone by.If you are put off by the price and I know a lot of people are trust me this set is more than worth it. The finished car along with the figures on their display stand looks simply stunning! Amazing amount of detail and so so much fun to build!I'm definitely going to purchase the large Lego camper van set next as I need

This was an absolute joy to put together and the finished product was a piece of modern art. I'm a fan of lego, but just as big a fan of the original Ghostbusters movie. Combining the 2 is such a logical idea and has worked so well. I would also like the HQ but this is a bit out of my price range.I advise people sitting on the fence with this at its current price not to hang about like I did with the Back to the Future Lego set. Once this is gone and the new movie (hmmmmmm) comes out it wil be well into 3 figures and not justifiable to most people.I felt like I got good value simply because it looks great and I'm 100% happy with it. If I had paid 3 times that amount probably not.5 stars.

As a huge fan of Ghostbusters and Lego, back in the eighties as a child, I used to reconstruct the events of the movie out of plastic bricks all the time. Mostly the results were pretty dire, and I dreamt of an official Lego Ecto 1. 25 years later, and here it is - an incredibly detailed, authentic vehicle that has been so well designed you barely even believe it's made of Lego when looked at from a distance. The clever use of elements is seen in the red fins, the iconic front of the car and the assorted apparatus on the roof.The minifigures are an absolute joy - you can easily tell who is who - and their proton packs are minutely detailed. If only Slimer was included.

If you are a Ghostbusters fan then you need this in your life!I had heard rumours that this set was due to be released what with the 30th anniversary of the first film coming up. I can honestly say that I wasn't expecting this, and that is a good thing. The amount of detail in the ecto-1 and each of the mini figures is insane. At first I thought this would only take an hour to build, but instead it took me well over 3 hours, and that was just with the car alone. The amoint of detail put into each of the characters is amazing, right down to their expressions, name badges on the uniforms and the proton packs.I cannot recommend this highly enough.

As soon as I had heard of these I preordered this, I was a massive fan as a kid and still am now really.. My Son loves lego and thinks Ecto-1 is amazing!! However Dad wont let him play with this ha!Comes in a nice packaged box and think instruction booklet with quoted from the guys via lego models..Took a little while to construct but well built love proton packs only minus is no Slimer, no flashing lights & shame cant place the guys in their seats as movie/cartoon.. still great to build highly recommended, now all were waiting on is Ghostbusters 3 & hope they don't mess it up!Overallone of the best Lego movie tie ins I have seen.

A great lego kit - the car looks amazing and the figures (and the display stand they come on) are great. This was a fairly easy build - a bit fiddly in places but not difficult and the finished product really does look awesome on display. The set is robust so playable with for kids and the figures do fit in the car (with a bit of a squeeze). All in all an excellent lego set for fans either lego or ghostbusters (or both).. only word of warning is to check prices because sometimes lego sets are cheaper from the lego store itself than they are on here.. especially form some third party sellers who seem to add a lot to the recommended price

This is a quality LEGO set and definitely a must buy for Ghostbusters fans. First of all, the packaging is top notch. The box is good quality with vivid graphics and the instruction booklet contains trivia about the movie. The set took me about 2 hours to build and was enjoyable with minimal repetition. Once built, the Ecto-1 is very striking and movie accurate. Also, the mini figures deserve special praise as they capture the characters personalities perfectly. The only negative I can think of is that the set is a bit pricey, although its worth it for Ghostbuster fans.

Really great design - the car feels very solid when put together and nicely reflects the design from the film. All four ghostbusters are present and recognisable - Venkman even has a slightly whimsical smile that really brings out the personality of the character.I really enjoyed putting it together and, on the strength of this product, ordered the Dr Who Lego Ideas model straight afterwards which I'm looking forward to building!My four year old son loved it too and was desperate to pay - is it wrong that I don't want to share? !!!

Not quite as fun to build as 75828 but it's 1984 Ecto1. As a lifelong Ghostbusters fan that's pretty much all that matters. It's a lovely model and the detail on the figures is amazing.What I was particularly impressed by was how recognisable the heads are - you can tell which one is Venkman or Stantz just by the way the cheeks are drawn on.Also, no stickers which is a great bonus.It's a lovely set, just need to build myself a nice cabinet somewhere to put it in (I know that's not quite the Lego spirit but seriously, Ecto-1!)

If you have seen Ghostbusters then you will know it is awesome and one of the best things is the Ecto 1 Car.It has sirens and loads of machinery on the top to do stuff with the ghosts. This is an awesome model of the car.This lego model has new wheels with cool rims. The lights are amazing and it has great fins and it even comes with the guys.The only thing that would make it better is if the doors opened.

What a great representation of this cult classic. The designers have captured the look and feel of not only Ecto-1 but the personalities of the characters in a single expression and snap-on hair-do.Yes the finished item is a little small but it doesn't cheapen the detail.Overall, if you love Ghostbusters and Lego, why are you reading this and it's not putting this item in your shopping cart?

As always with any lego set, detail is the winner here! Fantastic homage to a classic 80's film. This set presented a decent build and also the highlight being the 4 minifigures that are also included. A nice touch was the professional looking instruction manual that contains images and quotes from the original film as well as information about how the set was put together. Highly recommended!
