I really want to dislike this for political reasons, and it is hard to give 5 stars, becasue there are some really objectionable undertones to the celeb-culture, superwaif, glitz and lipstick message conveyed by this whole series of Lego toys. The other "friends" Lego is almost as offensive, with women characters occupying footballers-wife leisure roles, while besuited, low threat, men figures take on the real work of flying aeroplanes, driving limos and so on. Sure, there are probably some positive female role models in amongst the miniskirts and hair ornaments, but not really enough to capture the genderless appeal of elsewhere lego. I suppose there is some good marketing research behind the development of these sylph-like Lego travesties,which almost certainly appeal far more to the chosen demographic than mundane "minifigure" lego, but really, did Lego need to go down this gender specific route to sell enough kits?So, why 5 stars for something so objectionable on the face of it? Obviously becasue it is a fantastic kit. There's a great range of pieces, including some very cool tranparent blocks, and loads of interesting coloured bits, many of which are invisible in the completed model, and which are included really only to support building other, imaginative, kits from the dissasembled Limo. The instructions are clear, the kit is packaged in separate bags making for an easy but interesting build, and the finished product is appealingly solid, and aestheitcally neat. The impression from looking at the picture on the box is that the kit might be made of large, specialist pieces, with limited flexibility, but in fact, it is pure Lego, just dusted with a powdery coat of nauseating affluenza.My next step is to rebuild the kit into some kind of weapon-toting mega robot (in shades of fuscia) and see whether I can find some life affirming and socially conscious kit which migh need a pair of mini-skirted teenage models to complete.

When my nine year old daughter receives a gift that she really likes she really lets you know about it. I didn’t tell her that I had ordered this, but because she loves the Lego Friends range I was in no doubt that she would love it, and when she opened the Amazon packaging her reaction proved I was 100% right. I’m sure that my next door neighbours must have heard her whoops of joy and I knew that for one day at least I would firmly be in her good books.Being a pop star loving young girl this set could have been designed with my daughter in mind. It comprises:• Two characters, Livi, the glamorous pop star and Olivia, who I think is meant to be a TV interviewer but can be anything that the child’s imagination wants them to be.My daughter’s only complaint was that there should be more than two characters in the set.• A fabulous white stretch limo, complete with TV and mini bar.• A red carpet with barriers to keep the crowds at bay.• A blinged up booth in which the interviews with Livi can be held. A microphone and TV camera are included in the set.Because my daughter is an old hand with Lego and she had no problems putting the set together but the instructions given in booklet supplied seem to be very good so I wouldn't think this should be a problem to anybody.My daughters opinion of Lego Friends Pop Star Limo? Wicked!

Lego are really getting it right with the Lego Friends range now. This pack went down an absolute storm with my girls (7, 9 and 12). The stretch limo is a superb vehicle (second only, I am told, to the Dolphin cruiser) - it took quite a lot of concentration to build - with no adult help - but they are experienced Lego builders, so you may need to offer a bit of help if this is your first set.Lots of special 'bricks' in this set - we LOVE the gold bits of course, and the girls have really loved adding this to their Lego world - this set (and the other sets in the Pop Star range) have seen more small world role play than some of the other sets - really seemed to fire their imaginations.We're also loving the addition of dressing up 'outfits' - changing hair, hair adornments and now the addition of clothes (I know it doesn't seem like much but they love this!) has gone down very well.A little bit cheaper than the Pop Star Dressing Room but the same size box, as much entertainment although no 'building' as such. This will be a very well received present for any Lego Friends fan - particularly if they are wannabe pop stars! Thank you Lego!

This set is part of the new Lego Friends Pop Star range, and features singer Livi arriving at some kind of Music Awards ceremony in her limousine, where regular character Olivia is ready to interview her. As always, the level of detail is impressive. The white stretch limousine certainly looks like a celebrity ride, with its sleek interior featuring seats for four characters, a TV with speakers, cocktail glasses and fruit bowl for snacking, plus there's even a SatNav on the dashboard. Once Livi arrives at the Event, there's a red carpet waiting, plus Olivia with microphone and camera to hand. There's also a podium with two seats to conduct the interview in comfort.This has proved to be our daughter's favourite set in the new range; it also seems decent value with the car,accessories and scenery. As usual, there are a fair number of small pieces and some parts (including applying the stickers) may require a bit of grown-up assistance, but any child of around 7 or above is likely to enjoy this set, especially if they're a music fan - it really does look the part.

It may not be to my taste but Lego seem to have really understood their market of pre teenage girls with this set. As others have stated the description is wrong but the photos make it clear what you are getting from this set. The stretch limo is quite small but easy to put together without them getting bored with clear instructions and no adult help. There are a lot of accessories and special bricks that seemed to fire their imaginations and they played with it far longer than I anticipated.This is a great addition to their other Friends sets and creates a world where they can mix and match characters and scenes.As always with Lego the build quality is excellent although there are lots of small bits to keep away from small children and they really hurt when you step on them without shoes! Not cheap but good value and an ideal gift for a young girl with a taste for celebrity.

Well my youngest daughter felicity loves this Lego set and its so easy to construct , plenty of hours of fun .. you can even add other Lego figures to it as well , my daughter did to make Lego fans ( to go with the red carpet ) . This Lego set is a bargain considering you get so much with it , only took about 10-20 minutes to construct and the instructions are very easy to follow and its comes with numbered bags for easy construction , fun factor i would give it a 10 out of 10 and it will keep them occupied for hours it can also be mixed and matched with other Lego figures .. which makes play even better .you get two characters with it ,livi & Olivia and loads of other extra's !!your child will really enjoy it and because its lego it will last a lifetime !!

I’ve always had a love hate thing with Lego, I really do enjoy building it but hate the fact that If you move it, then it falls apart.The friends collection is what I see as a master stoke or great marketing from Lego, aimed at girls its brilliant.This is a limo with two figures, Its small with loads of smaller bitsI want to hate it, its that look I’m a pop star aimed at the young, the sort of don’t you wish you were like me, but I can’t hate it, its really good, great to build, made it with my niece who was starry eyed from start to finish, and she loves the finished limo with the Livi and Olivia figures.This is great, well priced, fun to build and great fun to play with

My 7-year-old daughter loves this limo. It took her about an hour to build, with a bit of help from her brother, and she especially likes the shimmery golden stars! She also likes the clothes on the two figures, saying they're much prettier than the normal Lego figures (true!)The set includes a red carpet and an interview area with seats, but my daughter played mainly with the car. (She has never seen a real limo so was a bit surprised by the 'long car', thinking it was a bus to start with!)After playing with the set for a while, other Lego characters and bricks were added to the limo to make it a big ambulance. A perfect way to play with Lego!

Please note that description on this set is wrong, this is Lego Friends (regular size) set not Lego Duplo Doc McStuffins Backyard Clinic, the image is correct.LEGO Friends Pop Star Limo is a medium box of Lego, a bit slimmer than A4 paper but longer.It comes with two girls: Olivia and new (at least to us) character: Livi with pink hair.Regardless if you are a fan of limos and pop stars, this set contain good amount of unusual blocks: car parts with star licence plate, CD, sunglasses, poster stand, TV, drink glasses, camera with the flash, cherries, golden stars for the red carpet, chains just to mention few.

As I am bit too old for this I thought I'd leave it the hands of two younger reviewers: "I think this Lego product is great. It is not confusing and the end model looks amazing you follow the simple instructions" and.."I think this Lego product is great because when you open the box it has different bags for the car and the other stuff which helps you not get confused." So there you have it. 2 happy girls (aged 10 & 11). The product does look to be the usual high quality Lego that we are well used to.

This is my favourite out of the 3 pop star sets I've recently trialled. A mid size set in the range but open top so you have easy access, bits don't drop off in play. Our Friends camper van by comparison needs lots of attention and rebuilds. It looks great with the gold blingy looking touches on the wheels, grills and number plate and the red carpet and barriers are a great addition. Comes with Livi and Olivia.

My 9yr old daughter is a new fan of Lego and asked for the pop star sets for her birthday and Xmas as she saw it in argoes and it was girly so I cum on here and found it cheeper she will love it once opened
