The Duplo Town Submarine Adventure is a bit different in that it can be used in water although a lot of the pieces are basically the same as other kits from Duplo with just the characters adding extra features. There are two bags of pieces, a whale, the submarine body and a baseplate so you can create a little underwater scene with plants, the submarine and whale which float and the angel fish which is solid plastic but hollow so will blow the air out of its fin (nothing from its mouth) as its lowered into the water. There’s also a bird, two humans with two sets of flippers and even a camera so they can really let their imagination run wild.

This 24-piece set from DUPLO includes two figures, a fish (makes air bubbles), a seagull, a whale (floats) and a three piece submarine (floats and makes air bubbles). You also get bricks and a base to make an arch, two seaweed pieces, a flower piece and flippers for the divers. The moulding on the submarine is excellent - I think that is our favourite piece.I think it's a good idea - DUPLO for the bath, it's all well made and finished off and is brilliant fun to play with either in or out of the water. It's brightly coloured and encourages imaginative play. I've also found it great for cajoling reluctant children out of the water at the end of bath-time.For the most part it looks like you will

'We all live in a yellow submarine, a yellow submarine', was playing away on the phone in the background as my team of small boys and myself got to grips with this jolly, colourful Duplo set. An eighteen-month-old, a five-year-old and his older eight-year-old brother all 'got it' and are enjoying the toys. The tiny holes in the heads of the fish and whale were noticed and the bubbles effect duly enjoyed in the bath. The items can be used either in or out of the water. Above or below...Simple to assemble, in fact, there are no given instructions, just a booklet exhorting you to add to the set, make other purchases from the range, fell out of the box. Pictures on the box are your guide.

This is a really nice Duplo set which can be enjoyed both in and out of the bath. The submarine consists of two large pieces and a propeller. It floats on the surface but can easily be pushed below the water too. There’s a whale and a clownfish included - both of which are very cute. When you hold the clownfish under the water it releases bubbles from a little hole on the top of its fin. There’s also a bird, a couple of divers with accessories and enough traditional Duplo pieces to make a sort of coral reef. The big pieces, bright colours and bold simple design made it an instant winner with our two year old. He’s enjoyed several Duplo sets already - the Number Train is a particular favourite.

We thought this Duplo kit was great fun, especially since it is designed for play in water. The pieces are attractive and colourful as usual, with the added bonus that some of the features are only apparent when it is actually used in water. For example, the fish releases small bubbles of air when it is underwater. We like that there are pieces which sit in the water, some which float on the water, and the bird which flies above the water. The pieces are a good size for small hands and we’ve noticed that the figures and the submarine have become favourite toys of the day and been taken elsewhere for further play. It’s a great little set and is a good choice.

I bought this as a gift for a 2-year old and he loved it. It is easy enough for him to assemble himself after playing around a bit or watching an adult doing it, which is great, and it then allows him to experiment with the different ways in which you can assemble some of the parts.We chose the submarine set because it's good for playing on the ground but also great for playing in the bathtub or a paddling pool. You can also open the submarine and put the divers inside.It feels robust enough to handle not being treated with care, something that is good given that some 2-year olds are still learning to be 'careful' with things.

There were a variety of prices for this kit and I got it at the cheapest (lower even than buying direct from Lego) so well pleased. It arrived as our grandson was having a bath, so the timing was perfect and it went almost straight from box to water. Usual high quality of manufacture. Nice little touch is the pinhole in the roof of the submarine that lets a tiny stream of bubbles out as the submarine submerges.One tiny criticism - for tiny hands, it lacks grip on the base of the sub when it comes to separating from the top and we had to help. Apart from that, brilliant. A toy for in or out of water.

A fantastic set with lots of great pieces you won't find in other sets. We're big duplo fans and have quite a few sets; I've found that so many of them overlap with the same pieces, just in different colours. This is really unique, the whale and fish are fab, two diver characters come with a detachable camera, the submarine itself, and some cool underwater plants - along with some basic bricks.Although the main selling point of the set is that it goes in the bath/water, its totally versatile for playing alongside other duplo as normal too. My 3 year old loves this; highly recommend!

This was the first Duplo we had and I can’t believe how well it went down! My daughter has been so excited for bath time every day to play with these, but they’re perfectly fun to play with out of the bath too.Wonderful quality, easy to connect and very colourful, they offer lots of opportunity to get creative and use that imagination.Don’t get too excited about the bubbles, there’s nothing high tech about that feature it’s just a little hole in the top of the submarine and the fish that lets a few bubbles through but that didn’t matter to us it’s still great fun!

Great idea - DUPLO for the bath (although to be honest we have had DUPLO bricks in the bath for a few years!)DUPLO is BIG LEGO bricks for toddlers, and this is specifically designed as a bath toy with a bright shiny submarine, two divers and a friendly whale, a yellow fish and a little seagullThe submarine and the fish both produce bubbles under water - much to our 2 year olds delight.The kit has an arch with seaweed and the divers even have swim fins!Great success (and meant that bath time is now extended until the water must surely be too cold!)

Duplo is the larger Lego bricks which is aimed at the younger market, its a lot easier to build and pop back together than the normal standard lego, this is for some bath time or water funThis set is all about under water, a great small submarine, which clips together, you then have a couple of underwater fish, a plant and a couple of figures.All looks great, it doesn’t come apart when being played with, the few bricks which do are fun and brightly colouredA great bath water set, great bits, easy to to build, what more could you want.

A lovely little bath time Duplo set with a floating submarine, creatures, diver and underwater scene. It is bright and colourful, imaginatively designed, easy to assemble and very charming. This is back to form for me after some slightly underwhelming Star Wars sets. The parts included really work well when played with in the bath but equally are just as fun out of water as well.

My three year old grandson and I enjoyed putting this Duplo product together. As well as helping his manipulative skills, it was also great fun at bathtime as when the submarine submerges, small bubbles come up. He also enjoyed playing with the fish and I can't remember the other pieces as he loved it so much, my daughter took it home with her!

There's nothing different in these Duplo blocks from others in the face that you could in theory use any Duplo in the bath. However as this includes a yellow submarine, clearly this is destined to go in the bath! The st is quite a reasonable price and even includes Nemo (well, a clown fish anyway) . Both children love it.
