It's cute, no doubt about it. But is it more 'creative' than other generic Duplo sets? I doubt it. The face blocks and the body blocks constrain what can be made (a dog's face, for example, can only be used to make a...dog). Whereas in traditional Lego sets, all you need are the generic blocks and a few eyes and you can create pretty much any Darwinian creature!On the plus side, the blocks are as sturdy and inviting as you would expect from Lego, and the set includes a pack of cards depicting a limited range of animals to inspire young minds.

My two year old Grand-daughter loves these. It's prompted me to buy more in the Duplo range. This set even comes with individual cards depicting the characters, so you know how to build them. The pieces are bright and sturdy, just the right size for the age group stated. They challenge the child just enough, without being too difficult to clip together. A great set which combines character play with construction.

I have been buying Duplo since my children were little now they have little ones and I will keep them well stocked with Duplo as they always have great fun with it. I also have it at my house as its always such a great hit.Bought this for a granddaughter just turning one and still confident it will be well appreciated.Can be expensive but will be played with for many years and will never break

Bought for our granddaughter aged two this is a great fun set of Duplo. The characters are easy to assemble for little fingers but are versatile and the pieces can be used to create your very own animals - encouraging creativity and experiment!

Lovely Lego set. My baby got it as 1st birthday present, and plays with it a lot. We also use it with other set (train and numbers), so you can drive animals about :) great fun! I now bought is as a present for my friend's son too. Recommended!

When I was a lad I'm sure that lego was a lot smaller. But this stuff is great. Very useful for jobs around the garden.My Granddaughter loves it - I recently bought some more too.On another matter ..............!

We love this, you cannot go wrong with Duplo. Bought for our daughters 1st birthday and although she is not ready to build, she absolutely loves to break it down!It was delivered well packaged and quickly.

Duplo is always good. We like the animals, a bit difficult for the youngest so must play together. If not putting the animals together also fun for just building.

Cheerful, colourful robust Duplo animals really hit the mark with my 14 month old grandson. His first kit that will grow and grow.

Easy for little fingers to hold. Animals are really good and it is easy to make other variants. Highly recommend.
