My favorite Lego Dimensions figure, bar none. One of the great things about Lego Dimensions is that it's a video game potpourri; all these different characters from different franchises interacting in different ways with each other and in these different worlds. Furthermore with the many, many abilities in this game, a real variety is needed if you want to cover all the abilities, so in reality, there shouldn't be any "best" characters, since so many are necessary and there are so many options. So how is Superman my favorite? Well, not that there's a lot of competition, but this is the best Superman game I've ever played. His core powers are here, without limiting meters or forced difficulty mechanisms, you can just be Superman and enjoy being the Man of Steel. This is especially true in the free roam adventure worlds, where you can just fly around and do missions, participate in races, and more just playing as the last son of Krypton.I also have Disney Infinity 2.0 and one of the discussions that I would often see was "Who is the best character?" People would talk about this characters range or that characters Super move, but the real answer is always, always, "Who do you like?" Whoever you like, that's the best character for you.Lego Dimensions is a very different game in almost every way from Disney Infinity, but with it's huge cast of characters with their varied play styles and abilities, you don't need every figure (and boy are there discussions about who you do need), but the bottom line should be, "Who do you want?" And if you want Superman, you won't be disappointed with this little Lego figure. I still enjoy taking on Gozer in Ghostbusters world, giving a casual melee kick and watching a Dalek going flying back and exploding, using wide arcs of Heat Vision in the Mystery Dimension to take care of an entire wave of enemies in one shot, taking to the skies and earning gold bricks in air races by breaking the Sound Barrier and earning the gold, and using freeze breath to put out fires with this figure long after the newness of the figure has diminished; he's the one figure always on my board, because he's who I want to play as, who I enjoy playing as, and who I want to play as.Regardless of who you get and why, the answer should be because that's who you want. For me, it's Superman. If the answer is the same for you, then why are you waiting? Get who you like!

Lego Dimensions packs are like DLC, but way better. Because not only do you get a new character, vehicle and sometimes a new hub world ingame, but you also get actual Lego, including at least one minifigure. And let's face it, the main reason you want this is probably the exclusive E.T. minifigure. And why not? It's a fun pack after all, not like a level pack that'll set you back anything from £15 - £35. So why not just get it for that? The physical elements of the pack are E.T. and a brick-built landline phone. I would've preferred his ship, or Elliot's bike, but I guess this works too. You need something you can take apart and rebuild into three different models, after all. E.T.himself is a great minifig, sculpted really well as you'd expect from LEGO.The game aspect is decent too. The phone can be rebuilt into Phone Home (which summon's a smaller version of E.T.'s ship) and the Supercharged Satellite (Basically a flying laser cannon). Not too shabby. The adventure world is alright. It has some a few fun elements and quests, but of course you can't fully complete it without having certain skills only a few characters have, like Harry Potter and the Ghostbusters. E.T. himself can use stealth, magic, healing, growth and he can fix machinery, which makes him very versatile and useful to have in your roster. Also, E.T has original lines in this, making it even more fun.I'd definitely recommend it to a Lego Dimensions player. I love Dimensions as a whole because it's given us so many new things we likely never would've gotten otherwise.

So the latest wave of Lego Dimensions is here and as I am still undecided on how much I want to pay in to the concept I have been most prudent in picking and choosing which packs I buy. Seeing I'm an expat stranded in Austria I have mentioned in my previous reviews the price difference between the UK and mainland Europe when it comes to this series is staggering! Amazon.de is my local 'branch' as such and they didn't let me down, my Krusty Fun Pack arrived bright and early on the dot this morning, I pre-ordered it last week at €12.50 so around 9 quid whilst back home in blighty the RRP is £14.99 which is absolutely disgusting.Anyway on to the actual product, namely the Krusty minifig,we go and he has always been my favourite character in the show so I'm biased but just look at him in my attached pics because he's just the best! His crazy hair, his ickle bow tie, those green trousers just make you chuckle so what's not to love about him, Lego have nailed it! The clown bike is really cool too, of course not much to it but if you do need the build instructions you'll have to access them through the game itself or off the internet because as is the norm with these Dimensions packs the supplied booklet does not have much inside apart from trying to promote all the other fun/team/level packs they want you to buy.Though Krusty has become my favourite minifig instantly and I would recommend him to anyone I'm 100% sticking with my four star policy on all Lego Dimensions products purely because they are such wallet bashers.

This is a really fun lego dimensions pack. The superman mini-fig is great, but the additional vehicle build is a little weird. But that's ok. I really bought it for the superman abilities. Before you buy, you should know about the main pro and con of this set. Before I get into it, yes, I realize he is Superman, so he really doesn't have any weaknesses, but that makes the game a lot little less difficult.PRO:Superman can do A LOT in this game. His ability to fly gives him access to pretty much every area in the game. Combine that with his invincibility, where he can't get hurt, and it makes gathering studs and beating enemies very easy. It also plays superman's theme when he flies, which is really cool for fans of the original movies like me.CON:Same as above. Superman can do almost everything. Fly, swim underwater, take no fall damage, not get hurt, laser eyes, freeze breathe, etc. It pretty much makes him an overpowered character for the game. This is fine, but I did find myself using his powers a little too much which made the game almost too easy. So, just something to think about when you think about buying him. I think he'd be more fun if you beat the main missions before using him. That way you can go back through with him and get things you didn't get before, without ruining too much of the game play.Overall, I really enjoy this character, and now that I've finished the main missions, I would say he's almost always on the game pad when I play. And my go to character for adventure worlds.

Superman is a lot of fun, and he is certainly a favorite of ours. However, I honestly think he is too strong, to the point where he kinda breaks the game. He basically allows you to bypass a lot of the puzzles and here is why.First, he can fly (and you get to hear the awesome superman music every time!), getting around many shift keystones (he can also swim).Second, he is immune to most damage! No need to worry about fire or spike traps, which bypasses the need for the elemental keystone many times. Don't need to worry about people shooting at you or much of anything.Third, he just touches things and they break. You literally just walk into any object and it just spills coins,in the same way using a vehicle does; same for the color changing stud bricks. He can also swim, has laser vision (melt gold and ice), ice breath to freeze anyone, break down cracked walls and sees through green walls. There's very little he can't do! The vehicle he comes with is ok, nothing fancy, but really, you have superman, who needs the flying craft. The only minor issue is that he can get stuck easily while flying and it can be hard to land as it's hard to know exactly what surface he is over. Not to mention he flys pretty fast so its hard to fine-tune the landing area.He makes the game too easy, but he's superman, I mean of course he's going to be awesome.

I own all the Lego Dimensions characters released to date and I can safely say Superman is one of my favourites.Putting aside the fact that he's Superman, one of the most iconic characters in the game, he's also one of the most useful guys to have in your roster because of the sheer number of abilities he has.He and Wonder Woman are the only two characters in the game who are permanently invincible, and he's also armed with laser eyes, super strength, freeze breath and X-ray vision. He can also swim underwater (something not every character can do) and fly incredibly quickly, meaning there's no need to take up a slot on the base with either a boat or plane vehicle.Superman comes with the Hover Pod,which is a flying vehicle. It's a bit pointless since he can fly already but if you upgrade it twice it becomes the Super Stealth Pod, which can do one thing he can't – blow up silver Lego objects. In short, Superman is a fantastic Lego Dimensions character. Oh, and whenever you make him fly, the theme from the Superman movies plays.

What is there to say he is Superman. The Lego figure looks great. You have the option of (what I like to call) "evil" red eyed Superman face and the usual smiling "Boy Scout" face on the character. The usual Lego attention to detailed right down to the cape. The Hover pod is a great looking little ship. All 3 forms look great, and make cool off screen toys.On screen. He has all the powers he always does. Super-strength, invincibility, flight, heat vision, x-Ray vision, freeze breath, even super build (to build things quicker). He still cannot destroy silver Lego objects, but using the hover pod the fires projectiles that can destroy them. The pod from its first form gives every character that uses it the ability to now fly areond the screen and, blast everything in sight. The upgrades on both weapons and design option are also very cool. You do not need him to unlock the the DC level as it was already open as you get Batman in a he starter pack. He is who he is. Super!!

I'm not sure why other reviews are saying that Aquaman is an essential buy to complete the game, as all you need to do is turn the hints option to "Always On" and then Hire-a-Hero for his moves. So, if you don't like the character, I would go for the Cyberman instead as you get the Drone, Mind Control, X-Ray Vision, Hacking abilities as well as the Underwater and Silver Blow Up that Aquaman does. And then, go for something like Unikitty to cover the Growth, Water Spray and Hazard abilities, as she has a far better unique skill set - Rainbow Bricks - which if you are going for a "must buy" over Hire-a-Hero is the one I'd choose.I bought him as I'm after the whole set to complete my collection, and personally, I think that he's a fairly good character to do some of the underwater levels too, even though he's not one of my favourite characters. I've just been finishing off the Atlantis section and he's pretty much been the only one needed for a lot of it.

Yep - it's Supes. And yes, in terms of abilities he's probably the most powerful character in the game. Sure he doesn't have certain specialized abilities, but that's why you have auxiliary characters. So let's run them down. He's invulnerable. He has laser vision. He can freeze enemies. He can swim underwater. He has x-ray vision. He has super strength. And of course, he can fly. Not that LEGO games are punishing, but if you are trying to collect studs in a difficult level and are frustrated because you're dying a lot, this is a pretty good character to have. The vehicle is, like Aquaman's jetski, kind of redundant. It's basically included so you can have a second player fly around with you.And that's about it. I honestly haven't even bothered with upgrading it, since it doesn't offer that much utility. No, you're buying this for Superman, and it's a serious value add to your stable of Dimensions characters.

This is a good Superman Lego figure - to be used with the Dimensions videogame. The figure comes in-assembled. Also included is a vehicle (although I'm not sure why, as Superman doesn't really need one). Both figure and vehicle need to be built - as, as this involves handling lots of very tiny part, I'd suggest that young children are supervised by an adult. This 'Fun Pack' allows you to play as Superman in the game. This is entertaining, as Superman has lots of great powers that can be used during gameplay. However, this pack does not include any new levels to the game itself. For a tiny Lego figure, the price - nearly £10 - is quite high. Dimensions is a game that, if you bought all the characters for it,you'd spend a small fortune! So I suggest selecting your favourite characters and sticking to a budget. If you're a fan of the Man of Steel, then I do recommend this particular figure.

A surprising Fun Pack from Lego Dimensions, but as a huge fan of this iconic '80s show I am not going to complain! Lots of fun to play, the music will bring back memories alone, but there is tons more to enjoy. B.A. Baracus may be the only character that physically comes with this pack, but as you unlock certain requirements in the game the other members of the team can be swapped in for him, in the same way the Ghostbusters (2016) characters can for Abbie. Some of the challenges include finding some dodgy B-Team look-a-likes/wannabes to take down, helping Hannibal with a scene he is filming for a movie, finding the biker gang to get rid of them, helping to land a plane, and of course get the Red Brick - 'I Know A Guy', which halves the cost of all vehicle builds.

Great Lego Character, very nostalgic!!!I purchased a multiple number of this item (ET figure) knowing that Lego were planning to retire the dimensions line. i have no idea what I'm going to do with it especially having duplicate numbers. I need to hide them from my wife who will no doubt hit the roof should she discover them in the house! Secretly I'm hoping that she does indeed find them and realise the money I've wasted on yet more Lego. Maybe if I'm lucky she will leave me for our gardener 'Pedro' who is apparently 'ripped and well built'. As far as I'm concerned she can go! Pedro is no match for my charm and personality, put it this way once she's gone and missing me it won't be just ET trying to phone home!!!

Legolas is a fun character to play and the vehicle is pretty cool to. It's very easy to take down multiple enemies in quick succession with fast arrow shots. When you add a character from a world you've not owned anyone from before, it opens that world to explore. But as the starter pack already includes Gandalf, you won't get additional access to worlds/levels like you would with other expansions. As such, unless this is really a character you want to play as, I would recommend picking someone who isn't from the DC, LEGO Movie or LOTR franchises first as you'll get more in-game for your money.I think the Fun Packs should be £10 as the launch price is too expensive for what you get.

Benny the Spaceman from the Lego movie (originally based on the included mini-figure from set 6824 released back in 1984) is an ideal addition to the Lego Dimensions game. The detailing of this figure is fantastic (to be expected of Lego) even down to the two main shortcomings of the original figure, a worn space logo on the chest of his suit and his broken helmet around the chin.Once in the game he brings the abilities of Hacking, Glide, Technology, Master Building and Sonar Smash meaning previously inaccessible parts of levels can now be accessed. He also has quite a good hidden Easter egg in the game, just don't move him for around 30 seconds and watch what he does!
